If you build someone properly, the titles become the story line. Take Demolition for example. The look, the squashes, the unbeatable aura. . . going into WM4, everyone hoped and prayed that they wouldn't beat Strike Force, and when they did, it was 15 months of hoping and praying for a team to come along that could match their sheer power and take the titles from them. That's making a title have meaning.

If the person holding the world title isn't trusted enough to carry the main event then they shouldn't have been champion in the first place. This is the classic definition of devaluing the title.

Also a little something I noticed regarding RR 90. If you notice toward the end, Rick Rude jumps the gun and runs down to the ring before the two minute clock.
Reason was, they booked the Hogan/UW showdown, then Barbarian comes in and has two minutes to just beat up BOTH of the WWF's top stars. Someone in the back must have saw how weak this was making them look and sent Rude down ASAP.

The more preplexing question regarding Mr. Perfect and RR 1990, during the under card he appears during Beefcakes match with an orange singlet with black & green on the back. Then for the rumble he comes back out with an orange singlet with just black on the back. . . . why the change of attire?

I almost did, i was out id at the last moment by a few dollars. It was on ebay by a seller in Pasadena. I ended up winning this, actually he had a few up for sale I ended up getting two. Its an okay fig the skintone kills it for me but eh it's Scott Steiner. How much did it sell for? |

Anyone that wrestles in street clothes (jeans, uniforms, etc) (Hillbilly Jim, Hardy Boys, etc.) But for some reason Bossman didn't bother me that much.

 X-Men collection. Might post more pics later. I just started collecting some X-Men legends, here is my first lot.  Nice X-Men collections! I've got a decent collection of the Toy Biz Marvel Legends X-Men figures, those were the main ones I was collecting from the series. And over the past year I've been collecting the X-Men characters from the Marvel Universe line. I'd like to think with the new DOFP film, he could be done in an X-men legends line, but I don't think he's in this movie is he? Good we've got Jean Grey though now, I've been dreaming of having one in Legends form for 10 years. Now all I have to do is wait until X-mas to receive it as a present. What series is the Jean Grey in? I've not seen mention of her. I still need her in both the Marvel Legends and Marvel Universe line. My Jean Grey? It's from the newest ML series, very hard to find at retail. |
