That's wicked dumb then. I don't get why they stopped leveling up at such a random ass number, instead of just being able to go up to 100 and be able to unlock every perk. Unless they're saving levels 90 and 100 for DLC or something, it makes no sense. The level cap is based on a very specific formula having to do with the skills. Not sure how the level cap will increase with the DLC. For those interested the formula for leveling is as follows. Your needed XP to gain a level is as follows: (Current Level x 25) + 75 So if you are level 1 going to level 2 you need 100 XP If you are level 70 going to level 71 you need 1,825 The XP points you gain is equal to the level of skill you just obtained, so going from lvl 24 to 25 in archery gives you 25 XP, going from lvl 98 to 99 smithing gives you 99 XP.

I don't even really consider it a cheat or a glitch moreso than just an oversite by the developers.
And yes it works. I even just found out that if you train w/ any of them before you become a full-fledged memberthey will retain all the gold you spent on training in their inventory. Therefore, training with them will always be free as long as you eventually complete their quest line.

I started a new character and did the Companion quests right off the bat. Finished them last night and married Aela the Huntress b/c she walks around showing off half her tah tah's and her legs.
Also, now that I can have any of the Companions as followers I can train with them and get my money back.
They have a master level 2-hand, master level heacy armor, and expert level trainers in archery, block, and 1-hand.

^ Cool. So I played for a few hours today and I completed the Lighthouse quest that in the end grants players a permanent +10% to healing spells. FYI if you ever need Chaurus Eggs that is the place to get them! Online sites said there was 514 however I only found 445 but hey that was enough for me. Three notable things: *I saw a dragon but the bitch ass was too scared to fly near me so I could not kill it.. *I am now pretty big into smithing. I updated a lot more of my look from my chest in Whiterun. Even though my Smithing skill is only 30 I have a great amulet that boosts my Smithing skill by 25% and I have brewed up plenty of Fortify Smithing potions that last for 30 seconds and boost the Smithing skill by 105%! That gets all my items to 'superior' grade. -So after I upgraded a couple of my items I then went to the Whiterun Jarl's castle and enchanted four of the items so that I could sell them off to people for some major profit! -Considering those items were found in dungeons and such I ended up getting around +3500 gold from selling 4 items that were not even the most expensive items. For instance one was a Scaled Armor Boots which is pretty crappy but the Fortify Carry Weight enchantment boosts its value up a lot. Another of the four items was a Orcish helmet that had a Fortify Marksman enchantment that sold for around 800 gold. I have better equipment such as Ebony, Glass, and a few Daedric weapons however I am saving those for later on. *I finally grew to level 52! The next time I play I really need to look into buying another house and finding a wife. After that I think I will start doing some of the Stormcloak missions. marry Vilkas

In all honesty I used a glitch on PS3 involving a book and a bookshelf. Right after I had done it I felt cheated. My character was strong already: Level 46, 110 smithing, 90+ in heavy armor, 2-hand, & block, 70+ in lock pick, speech,& sneak,50+ in restoration & enchanting. But I just did it to b/c i could. I'll probably look for an old save and go back to where I was.

I fixed it. Just a heads up on leveling for heavy armor & block for slightly higher level characters. Once you complete the civil war as a Stormcloak, go to one of the imperial camps (go alone, no followers). The leader of the camp cannot be killed. At higher levels and w/ good armor you can literaly stand there and let him beat on you forever and not lose any health. This levels your heavy armor. Additionally, you can continually block his attacks to level your block.

Help, after the final companion quest where I help the leader go to sovangarde I put a witches head in the caldroun to cure my werewolfness and now my 2-hand is down to 25 from 90+. Not sure if that is the cause but that's the last thing I did. Nothing shows up in active effects either and cure disease potion doesnt work.
