CLASH OF THE DUOS 2016 Night 2 Live from the Du Burns Arena in Baltimore, MD only on SNW Player
1) CoD: Revolution X2 vs. Parkland Bros: Safu and LyNN were looking to make up for the mistake of Hammers and Devine by reaching the next round. They faced the young Parkland bros who had plenty of fight but were second best for much of the match. However, the Parkland’s roared back and sealed the win with the Confederacy Choke on LyNN.
The Parklands were backstage bouncing round after scoring a big win. They said they just needed two more wins and they’d be champions.
2) FUSE battle royal: Ken Slayer defeated Ryler, El Hijo, Jaguar, Noah, J. Stone, Baby J and Cam Stone: A tradition of night two of CoD, a battle royal to determine who will challenge for the FUSE title on the final night. The main battle of the match was Slayer and Joseph Stone versus Joseph’s father Cameron and Baby J. However, there were other fun battles. With so many highflyers, a lot of the eliminations came from being pushed off the top or other similar ways. It came down to Slayer and Cam Stone after he had eliminated his son. Slayer got heat from the fans despite playing babyface. He managed to out manoeuvre old Stone and clothesline him over the top to win.
Ken Slayer and Cameron Stone were backstage. They were hyped about Ken’s win. Ken said that it’s great that he has been given this opportunity. He then talked about the crowd reaction and said he would earn their cheers if he had to. Stone spoke about battling his father and said he thinks that isn’t the last we’ve seen of Cam and Baby J.
3) CoD: AirDevils vs. Mockingbird: Holy highflying shiz Batman, everyone knew what we were going to see in this bout. Their feet barely touched the floor and the match was a treat, it was kept short as the match was played like a sprint. The AirDevils looked like they would wrap up the win with the Bombs Away but Elliot avoided it and rolled Travis up. To make sure of the win Elliot held onto the ropes for extra leverage to seal the win.
Mockingbird cockily walked onto the interview set. They said they are undoubtedly the best team in SNW today and soon everyone will realise that.
The AirDevils of Travis Cantrell and Tom Gerard entered the interview set dejected. The Devils said Mockingbird cannot keep cheating their way to win. They said they would get their comeuppance.
4) SYN: Dave Demento vs. El Hijo del Angel Custodio: Demento cut a promo before the bout, saying he is the best in Synergy and will soon prove to be the best in SNW. It was a good back and forth match, Demento worked well with the Mexican lucha style but still kept his trademark charisma. He blocked a springboard with a spinning backfist then hit the F***tard for the win.
Chris Hammers, Jordan Devine and Amy Lee of Revolution X walked to the ring. Hammers said about how upset they were being eliminated last night. But said RevX is all about moving forward and they issued and open challenge now. Kevin Hart came out and said he’d be happy to fight. Hammers told him he needed a partner and this brought out Carson Clark. The odd pair started marching down to the ring but then they were interrupted by a new female who suggested they make it a ‘three way’, much to the amusement of the crowd.
5) Chris Hammers, Jordan Devine and Amy Lee vs. Kevin Hart, Carson Clark and Taliah Winters: The new girl was Taliah Winters who spent most of last year working at SNW’s academy, it shows why she was given the debut here because she looked good (in both ways). She matched up to Amy well. Meanwhile, Rev X were in control against Hart and Clark until the last minuites for a big comeback. Hart went on a roll, hitting the Maple Leaf Revenge on Hammers while Clark took out Devine with a dive. Taliah then made the perfect debut by making former Women’s champ Amy tap out to the Texas Cloverleaf.
Intermission. The Parkland siblings were out at the break, Rose was especially vocal telling everyone “My brothers are gonna win tha Clash of the Duos”.
6) CoD: Team Bennett vs. Joseph Brothers: Both teams were looking to get into the final four and both teams tore into each other to get there. Fans were split but just about on Ace and Spade’s side. There was a wicked counter to the Syracuse Drop as Jack held on and went for the top rope Pele, Spade sacrificed himself and was hit by the Pele. Ace then hit a kick on the outside then springboarded in to knee Jack and follow it up with the Syracuse Lock.
Mike Bockwinkel walked to the ring in a fine Italian suit. He cut a great promo saying he has lost a lot in the last year but he hasn’t lost two things: his style and his hatred for Nick Jacobs. Nick Jacobs then made his way out, he talked about their history and said their final chapter is unwritten. Jacobs said he will write it in Bock’s blood. Jacobs walked down from the ring but Bock backed out and made his exit.
7) SNW: Riley Shamrock vs. Jason Williams: I don’t really know why Jason is getting a Word title shot but the fans in attendance didn’t really complain. It wasn’t given main event time but with the speed that Jason moves, he doesn’t need a lot of time. A complete mix of styles here as the technician Riley struggled with Jason’s highflying offence. But Riley’s gameplan worked, he worked over the leg all match and after a strikefest, Riley kicked at the knee, Jason’s leg buckled and Riley was quick to lock in a leg lock for the submission win. Riley made his way backstage, he said that he enjoyed the challenge and is looking forward to tomorrow where he once again will put the title on the line.
8) CoD: DUOS: Fatality Squad vs. Your Mom: Cody and Baz pulled out a huge upset at the last show, beating Chris Hammers and Jordan Devine but they got beaten down afterwards. They had an even tougher challenge here as they had to beat the unbeatable, the longest reigning champions Thomas and Kagemann. After their beatdown last night Your Mom was pretty damaged. They took more of a beating here but still managed brief comebacks. Fans were fully behind the team known as Your Mom and some expected a title change. But the Squad continued their reign with another Ball and Chain to roll into the final night. They can't win three Clash of the Duos, can they?

New Chelsea weren't going to go unbeaten. Silly to predict it so early. They may have the best team but that doesn't mean they can't be beaten.

I took Vince's comments as being supportive. He seems like he wants him to succeed. They did mess up, there's no doubting that. But Cesaro needs to keep working hard and take his next opportunity. I believe it will come.

Royal Rumble LET'S DO THIS! I like the winner goes into rumble gimmick, always have. The MizTV set up the Miz match well, I see booking wise why Cesaro isn't in the rumble but was there a reason. Love your little skits in between. Nattie and Paige would probably be the best divas to put on the best match possible. Paige winning is the right call, cos she's hawt. Dizzie Rascal it's dirty skanking! An in joke only I would get. Punk/Brock sounded awesome and Reigns interfering sets up a Reigns Punk match which I would love to see. Onto Rumble, I'm afraid I got some BAD NEWS FOR YOU. Jericho is always number one or two, that way he can skin the cat multiple times. AJ would make an awesome first man in a future rumble. I like Cena being in early. JAKE THE SNAKE, well booked considering what he can physically do. Reigns killing everyone and then AJ was badass. SO MANY RETURNS! Punk taking out Reigns makes perfect sense, there's always one every rumble. Good final four, oh Bryan v Cena. Good ending and the right call. Cool to see Bryan a multi time Rumble winner, you've forged your own history now. Can't wait for WM.

Really don't understand all the hate for Cumberbatch. He's one of Britian's finest actors. I'm always impressed by whatever role he takes. Maybe you guys haven't seen enough of him. He'll nail it.

All looking good Kev, seems as if your just rising and rising up the card. Sharpshooter in Canada is great. Seems like your making the most of the bad booking. The crowd look like they could be a bit more excited seeing you moonsault someone through a table. Looking forward to SS, shame it isn't 5v5.

I graduated in the summer. But can't find (or really decide) a career. Thinking of journalism, I did a week working at a newspaper and enjoyed it. But I keep going back to thinking about teaching. Only young children, can't be dealing with teens.
Currently part time in retail just to get some money coming in and something to do. Also get some work with my Dad in a factory. Either career (journalist or teaching) will probably involve going back to Uni for a year, classes start in September. So I'll probably just keep this up till then. I'm only going back to Uni if they can basically guarantee that I'll get a job at the end of it.

Wow Hart's been busy. It's some mad booking. Ric Flair looking on and booking matches, Rock and SCSA teaming, the Sheild feud seemingly over. Interesting though. Its a good look into the game for those who haven't got it.

You said that he had catchy theme music and a gimmick before he was given a crappy theme with no gimmick. However, I'm saying that he didn't have a catchy theme. It was Jack Swagger's theme. He turned on Swagger with that momentum you discussed and would have had to change his theme anyway. He did have a gimmick. It was that of a "Real American", but turning on Swagger meant he had to change that as well. There was no time for "He went from being a face with a catchy entrance theme and gimmick, to being a heel with a sh*tty entrance theme, and no gimmick.. WITHIN TWO WEEKS" because after turning on Swagger, he instantly became a Paul Heyman guy. I'll admit that if they didn't turn him heel, there was a chance he could have ridden the momentum and become big, but we'll never know. Gotcha! If I remember correctly though, they had the Real Americans theme just as long as Swagger had it as a solo competitor. They really could have gone either way on who to give it to. Especially if they had went a different route with Cesaro. Maybe Real American vs. Real American.. They could have had a civil war angle. I really think they handled him as poorly as you could handle a wrestler in his position.. He was hot, he was over. I 100% blame creative.. The 'Paul Heyman Guy' angle was a mistake from the get-go. And that is once again creative's fault.. Because instead of Cesaro joining the likes of Brock Lesnar and CM Punk, he also joined Ryback and Curtis Axel. Two other talents creative had no idea what to do with. Once those two became Paul Heyman guys, being a 'Paul Heyman Guy' meant so much less. If the machine really wants you to succeed.. YOU WILL SUCCEED.I don't agree with that. Creative makes mistakes, it's gonna happen. And they're not going to come up with every possible angle (ie Real Americans civil war). The "Machine" certainly plays a part but I think Vince truly believes what he said in the Podcast and that's all that matters to me.

There will be Spotlight this month. Partly because of laziness, partly due to uncertainty and partly because it will give more focus to the Simmy's. Onto my next question:
Who wants to do the Simmy's?
PM me if you wanna do it. Looking for an experienced simmer.
Done.

I really enjoyed that. I don't listen to podcasts but I just had to listen to it. So glad I did. That was good enough to be a separate shoot DVD.
I've always had a lot of respect for Vince and he gained even more here. He spoke well and answered every question. I wanna see more.
As for Cesaro, it's a mix of problems from both side. I'm a huge fan of him ever since he was on the indies. I want him to succeed. WWE was wrong to turn him heel. But Cesaro didn't make the most of it and so got de-pushed. I think the main thing to take from the podcast regarding Cesaro is that Vince has faith in him. And wants him to succeed. I see Vince giving him his chance and Cesaro snapping this one up.
Might have to listen to more Austin podcast's. He's tells great stories and asks questions that others wouldn't. As you would expect from Stone Cold.

CLASH OF THE DUOS 2016 Night 1 Live from the Du Burns Arena in Baltimore, MD only on SNW Player
1) CoD: AirDevils vs. Carson Clark and Jet Jaguar: Great way to open the show, lots of highflying. Clark didn’t hold back against his teammates but in the end came up short, he fell to his own tag finisher the Bombs Away.
The Devils were backstage. They said they will go all the way like they did in 2011. Clark then appeared, he looked a little cold at first. Then he hugged his partners and wished them well.
2) CoD: Team Bennett vs. Jack Powers and Jason Williams: Ace and Spade got a great reaction, they were up against the two members of the former United Front, who worked pretty good together. Jason got taken out by a diving Spade while Bennett hit Powers with the Syracuse Drop to seal the win.
Team Bennett were backstage and said that they came close last year but this year they will take the tourney and the belts. They asked Clive what he thought and as usual, he wasn’t paying attention.
3) CoD: Revolution X2 vs. Kevin Hart and Shaun 'El Tiger': Safu and LyNN had a tough task as they faced a former World Champ and an Original 16 member who was making his return. Tiger looked good playing the underdog then he tagged out to Hart. Hart put up a good fight but fell to Safu’s Swinging Samoan Slam.
4) CoD: Mockingbird vs. Joseph Stone and Ken Slayer: The crowd in Baltimore gave the son of the late Ricky Slayer a hard time chanting ‘You’re not as good as your Dad’. Which is harsh considering he’s only 19. He and Cam’s son put up a good fight against the cocky MDogs but the favourites to go all the way continued to advance after the Sunset Flip/Dropkick.
Mockingbird were backstage after their win. They heeled it up big time, calling each other ‘bro’ and pointed to their recent wins over Team Bennett, stating that 2016 was their year.
5) CoD: Joseph Brothers vs. Cameron Stone and Baby J Jamerson: Pretty fun match, almost like a comedy match since Baby J couldn’t handle the Joseph bros, while his partner old man Stone could. The Joseph’s took Cam over the top then Matt hit a dive. Jack then hit the Pele on J for the three count.
6) CoD: The Gentlemen’s Club vs. Parkland Bros: Bit of an odd bout, Nick and Bock couldn’t get on. They tried to but ended up brawling with one another. Jacobs went for the Jacobs Drop on his own partner but then Bock low blowed him. Nick rolled out of the ring and Bock was crushed between two dropkicks from the Parklands.
Intermission. The AirDevils were out at the break, they talked to the crowd and signed autographs.
7) CoD: Revolution X1 vs. Your Mom: Hammers and Devine looked to follow their teammates into the next round, they had the tough challenge of beating Cody and Baz of Your Mom. Your Mom played the massive underdog, taking a beating from both Hammers and Devine, Somehow, Baz and Cody scored the upset, countering the Last Minute Orders and being rolled up.
Cody and Baz were backstage celebrating their win. Cody said he knew they would win, Baz said he didn’t. They both looked at each other then laughed. Cody then opened up to cans of Pepsi to celebrate but Hammers and Devine took them both out, attacking them from behind.
8) SNW: Riley Shamrock vs. Daniel Sinn: The “Widow maker” Daniel Sinn got this opportunity after pinning the champ at the Anniversary show when he won the FUSE title. It was a good back and forth bout with plenty of technical wizardry. Riley worked over the arm and made sure Sinn wasn’t the second man to hold both the SNW World and FUSE Championships as he locked in the Ode to Shamrock and Sinn tapped.
9) CoD: DUOS: Fatality Squad vs. Jacob Ryler and El Hijo de Angel Custodio: On paper this was an odd main event, Ryler and El Hijo are not main event material. So the only reason for putting his match on last is for the shock title change. So the fans were very into this and behind the underdogs. Like most of the Squad’s title defences, they were dominant. However, when Ryler and El Hijo went on the offence the fans went mental. In the end it ended like all the other defences, the Ball and Chain put the spirited challengers down for the count.

Agreed. Watched it on blu ray for the first time. It is a great film. Felt Rocket was funnier the second time around. The first time I overlooked him because Drax and Groot were so great. And of course Pratt is awesome too. I know it isn't a new easter egg but I saw a dark elf and the bad guys from the Avengers in the Collectors exhibit, didn't notice them the first time. The tunes are so epic.

Damn beating Shield two on one must have been hard. Would have been a good end to a little feud but that Seth message seems to suggest otherwise. Would be awesome if Reigns kept the title and you eventually feuded with him over the title. Doubt it though with the amount of title changes happening. Wonder where you go now. I guess a title bout of some kind.
