He is Hulk Hogan's nephew and had a cup of coffee in the WWF in the early 90s as Predator, wearing some kind of jaguar mask. Hilarious to think that someone thought he was ready to have a stint on tv that early on in his career, only to return back to tv in 1998 and he still wasn't ready for the big time....

I honestly think you guys are clutching at straws or adding 2 + 2 and making 5.
Even with the lack of Macho Man figures, it would have been what, 2 new ones being shown? Wouldn't have made much difference, especially to all the Hogans being shown.
The crowdfund failure would have nothing to do with the spate of figures being shown. That's just nonsense. Their budget probably just got slightly bigger for figures because of it, so I doubt that they chose to show "less" because a crowdfund failed.
And the Steiners thing - nothing's a guarantee yet. They're not on Hogan/Macho/Warrior/Austin level. Since when have B-tier wrestlers had more than one figure in a calendar year this quickly? Not frequently, that's for sure. No-one is entitled to another slot shown at SDCC. And FTITL figures rarely get more than one figure in a year.
Plus they could easily be announced as Ringside Exclusives later this year.

That's because that is a Legends Greatest Hits line, so of course they're re-releases. I didn’t realise that it was also a Greatest Hits line! But still, that feeds into my second point - another entire wave dedicated to rereleases! Indeed. But at that, the choices will appeal to many, but not everyone. I'd have liked some of the harder to find figures, Bulldog is a great one to include but I feel there are others more worthy than Funk for example.

I’m guessing that WWE is much more strict and controlling about which talents they want represented on products with their name and logo on them. As a result, there is a small pool of (just making up a number) of 50 licensed and approved legends that can be merchandised. It’s why we always see the same talent on the legends section of the website and why the same talents are always used on reunion shows. So instead of being able to make 1000s of different characters, Mattel seem to be stuck trying to make as many variations of someone like Undertaker as possible, even down to obscure looks like Mean Mark and ‘97 leather cowboy hat that he wore maybe two times. Then again, something random like The Goon will show up, so who the hell knows. All I know is that we’re gonna get Big Scott Hall, Diamond Stud, Red Razor Ramon, Pink Razor Ramon, and DDP Yoga Scott Hall long before we get someone like The Barbarian. I’m talking things like an entire wave of Legends that are rereleases (Warrior, Bulldog, Honky, Funk), not to mention an entire wave dedicated to rereleased figures (Greatest Hits). There just seems to be a massive focus on it recently, rather than offering something different. That's because that is a Legends Greatest Hits line, so of course they're re-releases.

It’s ridiculous design went with this torso. Angle was never even close to that size. Bill loves throwing this torso around on guys who don’t need it: Roman, Eddie, Kurt.. The problem is that MDT seem to be more inclined to shape (torso-wise) and vertical height, rather than accuracy and size. I get that it costs a lot to tool new parts. But rushing out figures before they're ready is just disappointing. Like we had UE Amazon Jeff Hardy with an Austin torso, then about 9 months later we got UE 14 Jeff with an accurate torso. Couldn't they have held off or tooled the torso faster??

Scott Steiner looks to be either the same height or not much taller than the Cody in front of it. So I wouldn't worry about the height

If that UE WCW Piper is the final product, that is a MAJOR disappointment. And I'm surprised that more people aren't complaining about it. The kilt is so inaccurate for the time period. I can't remember him wearing that pattern even once during WCW. Major let down. The boots are basically black, when they should be very dark maroon. The hair is all wrong. If he had a neat side parting, it was maybe on one occasion only. Why do that when his messy hair was far more iconic? And talking of ICON, where's the red Rowdy Roddy Piper? Total balls up yet again, Mattel....

The WWE Network was updated yesterday, and it is pretty much utter sh*te right now.
They've taken away the option of "My Shows". Instead they've added favourites, which can't be accessed by hovering over your account, but you have to click onto the menu on the left, and when you do, favourites doesn't even work. It doesn't take you to the webpage. It does absolutely nothing, so there's no way of accessing your favourites.
To view "continue watching", you have to scroll down the homepage until you find that section. Instead of accessing it through hovering over your account, which was so simple.
You can no longer find old shows as easily. If for example you wanted to find a particular Raw Is War from 1999, you have to go to "Raw" from shows, scroll all the way down the years to 1999 (instead of filtering by year), and you can't filter by month/week. It's almost displayed as random tiles of the shows in the year. You have to keep clicking on "load more" and find the correct episode among all the random tiles. And if you finish one episode and want to save the next one to view, you can no longer do that. It doesn't automatically play, nor can you view the other episodes from 1999.
And if you wanted to watch WCW Nitro, Thunder or whatever, you have to use the search option because they no longer appear under shows. And you absolutely have to specify the year because there's no chronological order, filter by year option, and all episodes are arranged randomly or by notable shows. So you have to search "Nitro 1999", then find the one episode you want among the random displayed options.
It absolutely seems like they had an intern organise this and didn't even test drive it. There's no simplification, it takes longer to find things and feels like they've restricted things.
Anyway that's my rant. Anybody else found this or figured things out?

They made the lightning bolts way too thick. It looks ridiculous. Hopefully it'll be thinned and given a blue tint on final product but it's laughable how they almost mess up every time.

The TTL figures were immense. As soon as they got elbow joints and real scan heads, they were on fire.
I was really not a fan of R3 tech or RA when they first came out. I thought R3 were too restrictive, skinny and those and RA figures couldn't do powerbombs or hurracanranas which really bugged me. But RAs fit in better with TTLs and were fun to hunt down and buy.
BCAs were also restrictive to play with, but my god were they fun to play with. One of those situations where it comes down to nostalgia and warm feelings towards something because of being a kid, but they don't hold up today. Similar to old console games. Fun as hell back then to play, but they don't feel the same when playing with today. But BCAs just had a charm to them. They were cheap, fun and had that x-factor.

Beautiful looking figure, but I thought Rick Steiner looked corny as hell during this time. Whereas Scott tapped into something that was cool and edgy, Rick looked like your lame uncle trying to act hip and coming off cringey. “If you don’t like, bite me!”… 🤨 This times a thousand. It was so obvious that they were trying to do something new and "cool" with Rick, but it just felt like such a lame ripoff of what was happening with Scott - who was a very organic maniacal heel - that nobody really bought it or even cared. I think Rick was a bit too hokey in many ways during 1999 but he also had moments of brilliance when he was a pure detestable heel, hell bent on injuring opponents. His promos were lacking but he clearly had the edge needed, he just needed more of a steer and to dial back the corniness.

It's interesting to me that it's written Bret "Hitman/Hit Man" Hart, because I always like the "The Hitman" as opposed to without the "The" prefix.
I remember growing up and always hearing the announcers say "Bret, The Hitman, Hart". Yet a thread on the Classic Wrestling section showed that in WWF prior to WCW, he was never referred to as "The Hitman". And it surprised me, I can't un-hear it now.
And to Chicago's question, yes WCW always referred to him as The Hitman during ring announcements/presentation.s

Does anybody know if there are Ultimate Warrior thighs in Triple H skintone?
I tried using Triple H legs for Val Venis with Razor Ramon lower legs, and he stands way too tall.

I'm looking to make decals for these Booker gloves. Anybody know the branding? Looks like it may be Easton brand baseball batting gloves. I just looked up the logo and it looks very similar to this pic. See if you think the same thing I think it's a different brand as these look like arrows almost. But I never knew they were batting gloves so thanks for that!

Posting this here because it may get my question answered quickly. I'm looking to make decals for these glove logos, but unsure which brand they are from. Could anyone help? Thanks!
