what 80s champ are you talking about? Hogan for one. He held the IWGP belt for a yearish, and defended it twice. He held the WCW title for 469 days with 7 defenses in the 90s too. 469 divided by 7 gives us an average of 67 days per title defense. Last time I checked 67 days is NOT six months. You literally gave us information that disputes your own claims.

Don’t even pay attention to this guy. He spews out nonsense and baseless facts as if they are truth. He has no idea what he is talking about. You didn't know Mean Mark was a star. And you've now disputed me on two things I never said. Plus you were wrong on weight mattering in Sumo Wrestling. But hey, you know, I remembered Ake Bono's weight wrong, and had a typo on which Wrestlemania Mr T was in. Totally equivalent. You said Big Show was 100 lbs heavier when he was 21 lbs heavier. Also, I proved you wrong with your garbage stats that heavier sumo wrestlers ALWAYS win. I bet you don’t even know who Ehno is. And I literally referred to him first as Mean Mark so I was obviously aware of the character, but don’t pretend that Mean Mark was a “star.” He didn’t hit star status until he was the Undertaker. And that was Vinces doing which you claimed Vince can’t book big guys. Just stop with your baseless, false facts.

Asuka's a great 80s champ. Hold the belt for a year, defend it every six months. what 80s champ are you talking about? Don’t even pay attention to this guy. He spews out nonsense and baseless facts as if they are truth. He has no idea what he is talking about.

Crazy that Asuka has basically had the belt for almost a year. Just a shame she’s been an after thought for a good portion of it. There was a good chunk of time after Charlotte returned where Asuka didn’t even appear on TV for a week here and there. She was injured.

This must be the first Mania in years where they don’t brag about an “all time attendance record” right? Did you forget about last year?

It is not ridiculous. There is still skill involved. It’s not like any giant fat man can win a sumo match. You don’t automatically win by being heavier. Right, and Show would have had that skill, even had he not trained in Sumo, which the story says he had. What skill do you think Sumo Wrestlers have that normal wrestlers do not? Don’t pretend to be this all knowing sumo expert. You’re spewing stats as if you watch. You obviously have never heard of Enho, the smallest sumo guy winning match against guys twice his size. Being “bigger” doesn’t make you win. Being bigger, and being skillful, is obviously ideal, but you can still win as a smaller opponent with skill. Also you’re just saying stats as if they are fact, but you have done no research to validate your claims. According to Big Show himself, at WM21, Show weighed 509 lbs and Akebono weighed 488 lbs. I guess 21 lbs makes a big difference in your eyes.

You mentioned nothing about people “wanting” to see the match so that has no basis in this argument. Second, you expect a non experienced Big Show to beat Ake Bono just because he’s heavier. Dude you have some wild thoughts. You asked what was bad about it. I responded. So it is relevant, because it is bad. Ignoring that they said Show trained in Sumo, the weight difference is more important in Sumo than in boxing, MMA, or any other physical sport, because the entire sport is pushing each other around. The idea that a bigger, more muscular wrestler would lost to a smaller less muscular sumo in a pushing contest is ridiculous. It is not ridiculous. There is still skill involved. It’s not like any giant fat man can win a sumo match. You don’t automatically win by being heavier.

How is Ake Bono beating Big Show bad? It wasn’t a pro wrestling match. It was a sumo match so Bono should have won. Well, ignoring that it's just bad booking...And did anyone want to see a sumo match which aren't all that good? From a sumo wrestling standpoint, bigger wrestlers virtually always beat smaller ones. Show was not just nearly 100 pounds heavier...he was a LOT taller and more muscular. The idea that a 400 pound fat man would outmuscle a 485 pound muscular one is highly unbelievable. Tossing one of your potentially biggest guys under the bus to get a couple hundred viewers on one night is bad business and bad watching. You mentioned nothing about people “wanting” to see the match so that has no basis in this argument. Second, you expect a non experienced Big Show to beat Ake Bono just because he’s heavier. Dude you have some wild thoughts.

I just realized by having Bianca vs Sasha main event Night 1 and Roman vs Bryan vs Edge main event Night 2, they have the Rumble winners main event both nights. I think that actually might be a really neat idea. Also means Smackdown has two main events to Raw’s zero. So what?

This is one of those times I turn into Jim Cornette. How is this good for the business? They won’t let people from other wrestling promotions come in with a clean win but this 145 pound dude that isn’t even a wrestler beats a former world champion? But it's not like he beat a serious champion. He beat Miz. Miz has always been a cowardly sneak champ. And he did it with Damien Priest. And performing real moves. Is this worse than Ake Bono or Floyd Mayweather beating Show? How is Ake Bono beating Big Show bad? It wasn’t a pro wrestling match. It was a sumo match so Bono should have won.

And the reason Shad cant get it next year is....... Well, I must strongly disagree with the "great actor" part. His acting career was bad. Here's the list www.imdb.com/name/nm2414411/ Don't get me wrong, if I was offered 50 grand to do a Sharknado film, I'd take it too. But I wouldn't be offended if someone told me I was in trash. So I am assuming now that we are now arguing that he deserves the "Warrior award". The award specifically discounts anything "related to the ring", so his mentoring wrestlers doesn't count. And, moreover, most wrestlers who aren't jerks do that. Even if he had been a decent actor, that wouldn't qualify him either. Making yourself money is not community outreach. And I cannot find ANY activism to comment on. While I don't like Titus in the ring, there is no question he deserves the Warrior award. As much as I liked Shad I can see nothing that qualifies him for it, and I'm looking. You see NOTHING that qualifies Shad for the Warrior award? Sacrificing your life to save your child doesn’t fall high on your list?

its just a bad look. to say you dont even have to be a wrestler...you have to just get famous and get a billion instagram followers.....and youll get a high profile, high card match at the biggest event of the year And how many times has this been done? It's not like this is new. Mr. T was in Wrestlemania 3 after all. WrestleMania 3... was he though?

WWE has a long, long history of using celebrities at their big events. This isn’t anything new. It’s a way to bring in an outside audience. You're mistaking using a celebrity - which Chip said he was fine with - with giving said celebrity (one of) the most prominent entrance, hype and billing on the biggest show of the year. That’s actually NOT what Chip said. He has a problem with a famous person, who is not a wrestler, having a high profile match on the card. Did we forget about Mr. T?

Wrestling has always been about drawing fans and making money. The first WrestleMania was literally built on the back of a celebrity that wasn't a wrestler. the first Wrestlemania was built around Hulk Hogan Celebrities played a big part in the success of WrestleMania 1. It is preposterous to think Hogan did it all on his own.

Glad some of you are enjoying the show but I call a spade a spade and so far this has been and awful show. Two solid matches in Lashley/McIntrye & Rollins/Cesaro everything else has been lackluster at best. The last good Mania was 31.At least last year we got one great segment/match in the Boneyard. You’re forgetting Charlotte vs. Ripley. That was the best match of last years Mania.

Yeah because Vince has never booked a solid big man before? Undertaker says hi. Did I say never? Well, no. But hell, if we want to bring up the undertaker. He auditioned for WWF and was told he sucked. He was then picked up by WCCW and made a star and then Vince stole him. Yeah he was a HUGE star as Mean Mark. Undertaker is not my only example, but you bring up Hernandez who never worked for the company and is ten years past his prime.
