Sorry to say this, but this isn't going to help at all. The game is just over a month away from release. The roster is done. If Mike Kanellis is indeed not in the game, then he's not in the game. But to be honest, there's not really any reason for him to be. He hasn't been on TV for over a year, and was only on TV for a couple of months.

Daniel Bryan's 'Monster' video package is definitely up there for me as well.
These were fantastic too:
I thought these were pretty memorable:
I really do love a well edited video package.

Also included in the Deluxe Edition, so anybody really interested doesn't have to fork out an extra £60.

I think the only reason the Women's Royal Rumble went on last was because of Ronda Rousey's debut.
I think this year, unless they have a big star winning the women's, and someone not so big a star winning the men's, they should have the women's Rumble open the show, and have the men's close the show. The opening and closing matches are often said to be the two most important matches on the card. So why not have the gimmick match both open and close the show? I've never gotten why they have never done it that way for gimmick PPVs.
I think they should alternate each year which Rumble match goes on last. Keeps it fair.

Well, I'm surprised they had gameplay footage for a couple, but I don't get why they wouldn't do them for all. Surely this close to release everyone on the roster should be finalised, or close to it.
Still, I'm very happy to know for certain that some superstars are in that I really hoped would be, but knew they weren't guaranteed. I'm so excited to play as Kairi Sane, Street Profits, Heavy Machinery, and Liv Morgan.

It bothers me to no end that they can't pronounce Pete Dunne's hometown correctly. Like, how has Dunne, Regal, or anybody familiar with the correct pronunciation not pulled all the ring announcers aside and been like "yo, it's pronounced "Bur-ming-umm", rather than "Bur-ming-ham"?
That pet peeve aside, Dunne looks great, his entrance looks great. Tyler Bate looks really sad though. I'm happy to see them both confirmed.

Road Dogg needs to be as far away from making any company decisions as possible. Every single time I've seen him make a comment, it's been incredibly stupid. Whether he's defending dumb writing decisions, or justifying the disuse of pyro with moronic reasoning, he just comes across as someone who really does not get how to make a wrestling product. Especially if he was indeed responsible for the text and emojis on-screen during promos and entrances we had a while ago. He might be good on the microphone, but not at making a wrestling product. SmackDown Live has fallen off a cliff since he was rumoured to have been promoted to head writer.

While not spectacular, Summerslam did fix a few of WWE's severe long-term problems:
1) The title reign of Brock Lesnar. Never should have put the title on a part-timer for anywhere near this length to begin with. Despite what some fans think of Roman, at least now the title is on a full-time talent, and can be the focal point every week. The amount of damage done to RAW by not having a World title can finally start being fixed.
2) The title reign of Alexa Bliss. Despite how much some fans adore her, the way the creative team have booked her has made the women's division an absolute bore to watch. They have tremendous talents on the RAW women's division: Ember Moon, Sasha Banks, Bayley, Ruby Riott, Liv Morgan, Nia Jax, Mickie James. Yet for the past 18 months on RAW alone, the creative team have refused to give anyone else a spotlight, and have happily destroyed the credibility of everyone not named Alexa Bliss. In 18 months, the longest Bliss has been without the title has been 2 months. Unless you're a total package, which Alexa Bliss is not (while having incredible mic skills, I can't think of a single memorable match of hers) that makes such lengthy title reigns an absolute bore to watch. As long as they take Bliss out of the title picture for at least a good 6 months, the RAW women's division will finally be good again, and I can start appreciating Bliss.
3) The prolonged inability to do anything noteworthy with Becky Lynch. Since losing the SmackDown Women's Championship to Alexa Bliss at TLC 2016, WWE creative have not shone a spotlight on Becky Lynch since, despite overwhelming fan support. She's had a few title opportunities every once in a while, but she's always lost and then gone straight to the bottom of the pile. With her recent winning streak, it looked like she was set to win the title at Summerslam. However, then Charlotte got involved and won, making it look like a repeat of what we saw on SmackDown Live, at WrestleMania 33, at Money in the Bank 2017). But then Creative did something fresh, something to ensure that the spotlight was on Becky Lynch. She seemingly turned heel, attacking her best friend. If this ends up with Becky winning the title in the near future, it will have been worth it. They'll have to book Becky carefully now though. Unlike a lot of heel turns, where the new heel insults the audience, claiming that they turned their backs on them, Becky cannot do that. The fans never gave up on Becky, that was evident with them booing Charlotte and overwhelmingly cheering Becky after her heel actions. So they'll have to go a different route, if they indeed want her as a heel. Either way, I'm very interested.
So Summerslam 2018 got a big thumbs up from me. I stopped watching the main roster a month ago, with the first two points being a big part of that. Now that those two major problems have finally been fixed, I think the WWE main roster is worth my time again.

Ronda Rousey has been incredibly impressive so far, and this is coming from somebody who never wanted to see her anywhere near the WWE, and was originally vehemently against the idea of her coming to WWE. She's just continued to impress and improve with every appearance. Her passion and love for wrestling shines through, and she's made the transition from MMA to WWE far smoother than others (Shayna Baszler comes to mind, who I think I've only ever seen do a couple of suplexes, in terms of wrestling moves). You can tell Rousey is fully committed to wrestling, so of course they should run with her, given her star power and mainstream exposure. I love that they've made her champion, and I can't wait to see how her career progresses.
Plus, anyone who beats the hell out of Bliss and takes the title away from her gets a massive thumbs up in my book. Though, I wouldn't be surprised if they had Rousey drop the title straight back to Bliss, because that's what they do every single time. Lets see if they've finally gotten over their obsession with Alexa. I think the publicity Rousey brings will help them do that.

Oh yay, Alexa can beat one of the greatest female superstars of all time, woo....
Interest just dipped considerably for me with that announcement. With WWE's persistent, seemingly never-ending obsession with Bliss, there's no way they'll have her lose. And I have no interest in seeing Bliss win.

I was excited for it before it started, but three episodes in and I've already lost interest. I don't care for most of the roster, the camera work is atrocious, and it just feels like a caricature of professional wrestling, rather than a pro wrestling show. I know it's light entertainment, but I expected more from it.

Ugh, sadly it feels like I'm back at square one, thanks to the introduction of the women's division. Sure, they give you a free gal to start out with (Alexa Bliss), BUT she's a 1-star-bronze, which is the absolute lowest rank. And they modified their VS. mode and daily color tour so that you have to use a mixed tag team, so the upper-level teams will crush you immediately once you tag Alexa in (unless you have enough color posters to drive up her rank right away. I don't; I was only able to get her up to 2-star-bronze, and that's still fairly weak). Yeah, same situation for me. I got her up to 2 star bronze, not sure if I wanna waste tokens on upgrading her to 2 star silver, and I don't think I'd have any tokens left beyond that either for a 2 star gold upgrade. I'm just disappointed that they've included so few women, and only made one easily obtainable. When they announced the introduction of the women's division, I expected most of the active women's roster, rather than just 6. I hope more are coming soon, because that's a very limited selection. And what makes it more of a joke is that the "Women's Superstars" lootcase mostly consists of MALE superstars! Why on earth would male superstars be in a Women's Superstars lootcase at all, let alone outnumber them to such a ridiculous degree? So if you wanted to try and get another star for the women's division, your chances are very low.

Would anybody be opposed to the idea of DLC adding updated versions of characters to the game? I love that idea, and I continue to be surprised every year that they don't do it. Easy way to make a bit more money, and I'm sure it would get a decent amount of sales. But then like you said, it reduces incentive to buy the next game for some.

I just loaded this game back up, having not played it all year, after seeing the announcement that a women's division mode is coming tomorrow. I just hope it's a much better game that isn't 100% pay to win as it was when I last played it. That's the reason I stopped playing. It became pay to win. Pay to upgrade wrestlers to anything worth a damn. Every time I got a premium crate, it was ALWAYS someone I already had, but was never using. Darren Young, Stardust. The likes. Yeah, exactly why I finally gave up on it at the beginning of the year. Got sick of having a bunch of guys stuck and unable to progress, because the required tokens were always only obtainable through the missions that my superstars were not high enough level to complete, which completely defeats the purpose. Oh, unless you were willing to spend lots of real money for a random chance crate that COULD give the token you need. And as you mentioned, the premium crates repeatedly just gave the same superstars that I had no intention of using, because they're all 1 star. And the 2 star superstars were always already the ones I have. But, I'm willing to give this game another chance, because of the introduction of women superstars. For some bizarre reason, it seems mobile WWE games always forget that WWE has a women's division. Tap Mania is the only recent one I can recall having female superstars, and that's now dead. Until now, WWE Champions and WWE Mayhem were male superstar-only. Mayhem have acknowledged that there's a demand for female superstars to be included, and indicated that they're working towards introducing them in the future. But for now, at least WWE Champions are bringing them in.

Although it would probably be best for no one to be called up, based on how the post-WrestleMania call-ups worked out, we know that WWE will continue calling NXT talent up and make them a shadow of their former self, regardless of what the fans think.
So I think we'll see the following called up post-Summerslam:
Aleister Black Nikki Cross Shayna Baszler Undisputed Era

Well I am very surprised. I didn't expect 2K to deliver such a great reveal. Fantastic to see Showcase mode back, and I love having one revolving around Daniel Bryan. I'm surprised at some of the confirmed unlockable items through showcase. I wouldn't have expected Velocity to be involved. Guess they're starting as far back as they can.
