Of course today's roster is far better than today's creative team. Absolutely no question about it. Today's creative team can't write for shit. There's a reason viewership is dropping week-by-week, because the product is written terribly. Having today's roster be the most athletic superstars we've ever seen doesn't help very much if there's no clear storyline for them, and they treat wins and losses as being meaningless. I like the chef analogy earlier in the thread. If a chef is given poor ingredients, he can only make a poor meal.
Take the Sasha/Bayley storyline for instance. That should have been such an easy storyline to write. But they screwed it up every single week for months, to levels you wouldn't believe, to the point that even the most engaged Sasha or Bayley fans (myself included) just didn't care anymore.
I saw someone say earlier in the thread that Road Dogg "knows what he's doing". Road Dogg justified the removal of pyro because "we didn't have it before" (which is ridiculous reasoning, we didn't have entrance music before, should we get rid of that too?), and I've seen it stated that Road Dogg was responsible for the embarrassing text on screen for promos and entrances. Road Dogg definitely doesn't have a clue what he's doing, and the sooner he's replaced, the better.

Although I would love a Daniel Bryan showcase, I'm not expecting anything more than them just showing that Bryan does indeed have a new model.

I'd say either Basic 53 AJ Lee, or either basic Nia Jax. Seems there's very few women they could get right. Unfortunately the majority of women figures look awful, and barely resemble the real person.

Fantastic news, I might actually watch for once. Renee was a good commentator for NXT, been waiting for her to make a return to commentary, and I'm very glad she is.

But for some reason it's not giving me my Prime pre-order discount. I'm going to have to contact Amazon. Don't we usually get like 20% off pre-orders on video games? I'm sure I remember seeing them announce that they were stopping that this month.

Personally, I would not. Besides, we already got WWE '13 and 2K16 focused on the Attitude Era.

Around what time last year did 2K start revealing the Roster? Was it in September? I'm excited to see the Roster reveals this year. I was curious about this too recently, so I checked the YouTube channel and saw that Sanity's WWE 2K18 entrance was uploaded on the 20th of August 2017. I think I recall that being one of the first ones uploaded. So we should start to see the roster in a couple of weeks.

Those are no doubt place holders. They will probably have their unique poses and updated attires. From a quick glance it only looks like AJ had an updated model but that little graphic shows him in his new attire so that’s probably why his model shown was updated. Also that’s a new body definition and Nakamura hairstyle on that CAW. They'redefinitely not placeholders, both Roode and Anderson have new attires. Anderson's has the 'too sweet' logos. That doesn't necessarily mean that they're not all placeholders. Roode and Anderson would not have required new models, only slight attire changes, which would be quickly and easily done. Daniel Bryan would have needed a whole new model. It's very possible that either Bryan's new model was not done at the time this build of the game was put together, or they just want to save showing his new model for later down the road.

So, the towers seem like a fun addition. That's cool. Hopefully this means a gauntlet match type will return. My biggest problem with what we've been shown today is this: Daniel Bryan is his 2015 model and attire. It's likely an early build, with just copy and pastes from 2K18 for functionality purposes, so they can show off screenshots. I would be very surprised if they didn't update Bryan.

This is the final stop for WGE before Final Stand. What will happen heading into the show that will host three Elimination Chamber matches?
Following Carmella's attack on Becky Lynch last SmackDown Live, Lynch was said to be furious following the match. Despite this, will Lynch still be prepared for her Elimination Chamber match?
After their formation, tonight we see the first match of Lucha Legion teaming up, as Rey Mysterio, Kalisto and Sin Cara face the team of Andrew Hunter and the Golden Truth. Will Lucha Legion impress in their in-ring debut as a team? And beyond that, will Alberto Del Rio, Brandon Adams and Adam Omega get involved? Del Rio recruited Adams and Omega to attack Kalisto last SmackDown Live. Although Sin Cara found allies, Del Rio has done so too in his neverending crusade against Sin Cara.
United States Champion Jeff Hardy faces Karl Anderson in one-on-one action tonight. With Kurt Angle getting the better of Hardy every week, is Jeff's mind focused on his match tonight?
The participants in the Women's Number One Contendership Elimination Chamber match at Final Stand will compete tonight in a Gauntlet match! Nia Jax, Alexa Bliss, Paige, Charlotte and AJ Lee will compete in a relatively close approximation of what they will encounter at Final Stand. After Nia Jax stood dominant on RAW after the six woman tag team match, will another superstar gain momentum? Who will reign supreme?
We have a huge main event, as the participants in the World Heavyweight Championship Elimination Chamber match team up in six man tag team action. World Heavyweight Champion Batista teams with Daniel Bryan and Braun Strowman to face the team of CM Punk, Baron Corbin and Kevin Owens. Can either team co-exist, or will they take this opportunity to stab each other in the back like the WGE Championship Elimination Chamber participants on RAW?
Match Card:
Lucha Legion VS Andrew Hunter & The Golden Truth
Jeff Hardy VS Karl Anderson w/ Luke Gallows
Gauntlet Match: Charlotte VS Alexa Bliss VS Nia Jax VS AJ Lee VS Paige
Batista & Braun Strowman & Daniel Bryan VS CM Punk & Kevin Owens & Baron Corbin

Really disappointed with the Collector's Edition. Never been a fan of Ric Flair. Hoped it would be a Women's Evolution Collectors Edition. Or another NXT edition. Or at least something current, like based around AJ Styles or Daniel Bryan. Ah well. Saves me some money, now I know I don't have to spend an extra £60. That's 2 years in a row that the Collector's Edition has not interested me in the slightest. Hopefully next years does.
At least now we know Roddy Piper is back in the game (provided you at least purchase the Deluxe Edition). Really happy to get an extra Charlotte attire too. It's really good that with these Collector's Editions, they include the bonus in-game content with the Deluxe Editions. So that if the physical bonuses don't appeal to you, you still don't have to miss out on in-game bonus content.

"GamesIndustry.biz are reporting that 2K Games plan to "expand and grow their portfolio", and this means the developer's WWE series will become an even bigger priority than before. That's great news for anybody who believes the WWE 2K franchise has become little more than a hollow annual update, one devoid of any significant change that relies on a tired gameplay engine. 2K Games President David Ismailer specifically name checked the WWE IP as one 2K are keen to take to a higher level, and he said that 2K were "stepping up investment" in the series overall. That, theoretically, means the company are ready to stop rehashing that aforementioned engine, come up with something new and give pro wrestling games a fresh feel for the first time in almost two decades. The fact WWE 2K18 had similar, creaking graphical elements and animations to the very first SmackDown title (released way back in 2000) is not good, and it's expected that 2K19 will follow suit. If Ismailer's words ring true, then we could be getting a very different WWE game come next year's 2K20. Anyone who has followed the series since its infancy will agree that it's about time." whatculture.com/gaming/wwe-2k-franchise-set-for-overhaul-2

YES!!! Brilliant news! Cannot wait for 28th October! The women of WWE deserve equal treatment, and if WWE are happy to run all-men shows, all-women shows are only fair at the very least. But even if GRR hadn't taken place, the women still deserve their own bright spotlight, and this is a crucial next step in WWE Women's Evolution. Perfect name for the PPV. Hopefully this is a prelude to an all-women's brand, because the women still play second fiddle to the men, and quite frankly I believe they deserve the same amount of time dedicated to the men to showcase what they can do.
Although WWE has largely booked the women horribly (though to be fair, they book the men horribly as well), I trust that they view this important enough to not make dumb mistakes. The fact that NXT, NXT:UK and MYC2 is a part of this tells me that they know how important it is that they make it work. And given that NXT and NXT:UK are involved, I assume Triple H will have a significant say in the running of the show, which would obviously be a fantastic sign that they're going to do it right. Then again, it could end up as a colossal failure like RAW25 where they just book too many superstars. I really hope not. I really hope it's a big success.
I'm so excited, so much so that I cannot even adequately put it into words! 28th of October cannot come fast enough!

I wonder when we'd get the reveal on what the Collectors Edition theme is going to be. I remeber we got it revealed for 2k18 late July, so maybe this week or next If they're following the exact same day for information drops this year for 2K19 as they did last year for 2K18, and so far they have been, we should get the Collector's Edition reveal this Thursday. They released the cover star and pre-order bonus on the exact same day this year as they did last year.
