So is TEW 2016 good? I remember having a lot of fun with EWR, and I assume TEW is the successor? I did try demos of earlier TEW games (TEW 2013 I think), but the game was not formatted for modern screen resolutions, and so the buttons were all out of place, making it unusable, so I couldn't really try it. Is TEW 2016 worth playing in comparison to EWR?

They definitely should name it the Mildred Burke Memorial Battle Royal from next year.

I am so excited for this WrestleMania! Such a stacked card, full of exciting matches. I don't think there is a single match on the main show that I'm not excited for in some way, so I think WWE have done a great job this year. The only match on WrestleMania 34 that I wholeheartedly don't care about whatsoever is the Cruiserweight match, so I'm glad it's been relegated to the Kick-Off show. Not a WrestleMania worthy match at all in my opinion.
However, I think WWE have done a terrible job with theme choice this year. 'Let the Good Times Roll' is terrible. It's only fit for promos, really, at the most. 'Celebrate' isn't bad, but it's been used before.
As for Braun's partner, I love that they've deliberately kept it a surprise. I feared they might reveal it beforehand on RAW, but I'm glad they chose to keep it a surprise. I love surprises, the return of the Hardy Boyz last year single-handedly made it one of the most memorable WrestleManias of all-time for me. I think there are 4 superstars that may be Braun's partner: 1) Neville 2) Rey Mysterio 3) Samoa Joe 4) Kane
Honestly, definitely not a popular choice I know, but the match I am most excited for is Nia Jax VS Alexa Bliss for the RAW Women's Championship. That's the match I am most invested in, for a few reasons: 1) I am so ready for Nia Jax to finally be given the spotlight! From following her social media, and listening to her on Lillian Garcia's podcast, she comes across as such a kind-hearted, passionate, genuine, likable person. Right from the start, Nia has always stood out in the women's division. She is truly unique, and she's been chasing the title long enough. It's finally time for her to be given a run with the RAW Women's Championship. I really, really hope she wins. 2) It's time for Alexa Bliss' dominance over the women's division to come to an end and finally get her long-awaited comeuppance. Just like when Charlotte dominated the women's division from late 2015 to early 2017, it just felt like a drag to see her constantly come out on top. Especially given that every woman that Bliss feuded with came out looking like crap afterwards. It's time for that to stop. 3) The story between the two just adds a lot of depth. Nia needs to get her revenge on Bliss for the way she has treated her over the past month, and Alexa needs to get her comeuppance for treating the rest of the women's division like crap for the past 18 months. That's just good storytelling.
Really, I don't mind them putting both battle royals on the kick-off. With battle royals having zero story behind them, and being basically just a way to shove as many people onto the card that otherwise wouldn't be on it, there's no better match to relegate to the kick-off. The only thing that disappoints me is that a big moment of Sasha/Bayley going at it at WrestleMania won't be on the main show. That is definitely a singles match that the creative team absolutely should have reserved a spot for, and I'm still really disappointed that they did not do so. But whatever, at least they're doing something rather than leaving them off entirely. Better than nothing.

If the match does end up happening (and if it doesn't, this whole "rivalry" was a complete waste of time), I think it would only be fitting for the Undertaker to have one more match as Biker Taker. He had his big send-off with the Deadman gimmick last year. What was the point of the big send-off if that wasn't his last match as Deadman Taker? Returning to WrestleMania as Biker Taker would solve that problem. As it's a different gimmick, it wouldn't negate the big Deadman Taker send-off from last year. And he would have had two last matches for two different gimmicks. Everybody wins.

Last year I did a marathon that lasted a good couple of months, watching every single WrestleMania. Given that before that point I'd never watched a full WrestleMania prior to WM24, it was a good historical lesson for me, and I highly enjoyed it (though I think it's only worth doing once). WrestleMania 1 was much better than I expected, and I thought it held up quite well. WrestleMania 2 was horrendously bad with the arena switching, and just a gigantic cluster . I don't think they pulled it off at all. Those were the two biggest things I remember thinking.

I just find it so odd that WWE are happy to go and put on a show in a country that has it's values stuck hundreds of years in the past, at the exact same time that they're trying to champion equality. It's incredibly hypocritical, counter-productive, and outright disgusting to say the least. I get that they're a business and have been paid a significant amount by Saudi Arabi's government to put on this event (at least, that's what I've read), but if they felt so genuinely about equality, they should have made a stand and refused to go to such a country.
Personally, I just don't think those countries who's ideals are stuck 2,000 years in the past deserve entertainment like pro wrestling. My viewpoint basically is screw them, only go there when they catch up with the rest of the world. They don't deserve the WWE with the laws they have right now. WWE say "we have to respect the culture", but why on earth should their culture be respected when they view women that way? It's just disgraceful that some countries still have these views.

Of all the social media platforms out there, I only use Facebook and Twitter. On Facebook, I only add people that I know/used to know in real life, that I actually like. So people from family/school/work/college/university. I'll only keep them friended as long as I like them though. If someone turns out to be a bad person, I'll just unfriend them. If someone regularly posts/shares stuff that I don't care for or stuff that I disagree with, then I'll either unfollow or unfriend them. I would never add someone who I don't know, and it's always bewildered me that plenty of people do. I just don't get it. But to be honest, I rarely use Facebook anymore. I'll maybe go on for a minute or two a week.
As for Twitter, I only really use it to follow things that I'm a fan of. I rarely tweet, and all of my followers are just accounts who started following me randomly and don't appear to engage with any of my tweets.

And really, the amount of Americans that routinely show up in these threads just to gloat about the fact that they have easy affordable access to these exclusives, is really not helpful. Isn't there a wfigs uk board on here. Complain over there if you don't want our opinions. Somehow, on the off-chance that someone from Mattel was looking on here, I don't think they'd bother to check the UK board. This is the Mattel board. If anyone from Mattel wanted feedback, this is the only board on here they'd look for it. Moreover, I just don't think that gloating serves any purpose whatsoever. If you want to provide valid reasons as to why Mattel doesn't sell half of their lines in the UK, then go ahead. Debate is healthy when conducted in a civil manner. Simply bragging is not civil. If you don't want to even try to understand why this is an issue for us, then perhaps it would be better to ignore it rather than to simply gloat?

It's honestly just ridiculous the amount of lines they're making and then not selling overseas now. Hall of Fame, RSC exclusives, Flashback line, Walgreens Women Superstars, Hall of Champions, the list just goes on. Really, all we get are just the core lines.
Anybody complaining about these threads clearly just do not get the issue, yet continue to ridicule it. There is a very good reason for these threads: we're fed up with the complete lack of distribution, and it is a definite issue that is worth complaining about. If Mattel don't see the complaints, then why would they try to change it?
I understand the concerns about the cost of transporting the goods to the UK for them to sell, but if they can afford to ship over basics, elites and battlepacks, then what's stopping them from throwing in some of the other American exclusive lines? To me, that just makes it a non-issue, unless there is something I'm missing.
If they're exclusive to one particular store in the US that does not exist in the UK, then the solution to me is incredibly simple. Mattel should offer it to another store in the UK! It's such a simple concept to grasp, I can't understand why it is not being done.
Yes, we can order them from the US, but as others have mentioned so far, the cost is simply ludicrous, always at least double the cost of the figure itself, and you'd have to be very well off financially to afford it. The cost just isn't feasible to normal people, and surely Mattel should try to solve that. I believe there is a big enough market in the UK for these figures, and I'm sure that they would sell if made available to normal people.
Anyone that tries to claim "they're not American exclusives" is just simply hilarious. They're sold only by American stores in America. How on earth does that mean that they aren't American exclusives? If someone bought a SDCC exclusive at SDCC, and then sold it on eBay UK, would that stop that item from being a SDCC exclusive? No, of course not! You'd have to be stupid to think it would.
And really, the amount of Americans that routinely show up in these threads just to gloat about the fact that they have easy affordable access to these exclusives, is really not helpful.

With Royal Rumble 2 now in the rear view mirror, the blue brand rolls on towards the final CPV before WrestleMania 2, Final Stand. Following a successful title defense against the United States Champion Jeff Hardy, World Heavyweight Champion Batista will now prepare to step inside the Elimination Chamber at Final Stand with his title on the line. We have two qualifying matches tonight, will Batista have a close eye on the action? Surely the ever-lurking threat of SmackDown Live's Mr. Money in the Bank, AJ Styles, has got to be in the back of his mind as well. With the Elimination Chamber being such a dangerous structure, is that the most opportune time to cash-in? With Becky Lynch qualifying for the Women's Championship Elimination Chamber match on RAW, two other superstars also have a chance to qualify tonight. Carmella made her debut on RAW with a heinous assault on the newly crowned Women's Champion, Sasha Banks. The question is why? Why did Carmella choose to arrive in such an underhanded way? Either way, she's drawn attention to herself, scoring an Elimination Chamber Qualifying match tonight against Paige. Will Carmella qualify and get her opportunity to become Women's Champion? Will "the Boss" show up to look for retribution tonight? The Big Red Machine, Kane, is back. After being burned alive in an Inferno match at Avenged by his brother, the Undertaker, Kane disappeared. However at Royal Rumble 2, Undertaker was found incapacitated backstage, making him unable to compete in the Royal Rumble match. However, when it was time for Undertaker's number to be called, we heard not Undertaker's music, but Kane's. Although he did not end up winning the Royal Rumble match, Kane replaced his brother, making a statement that he is back. What does the Devil's Favourite Demon have in store for SmackDown Live? After forcing Alberto Del Rio to tap out at Royal Rumble 2, is the long-standing rivalry between Sin Cara and Alberto Del Rio finally over? Del Rio has made it his mission over the past few months to expose, embarrass and ultimately rid WGE of Sin Cara. With Del Rio having suffered such a defeat, has that humbled him in any way? We find out, with Alberto Del Rio requesting some time to speak tonight. Having defeated Brandon Adams and Adam Omega in a Steel Cage Tag Team match alongside his mentor William Regal, the leader of the Yes Movement, Daniel Bryan, has got to be feeling at an all-time high. Adams and Omega plagued Bryan for months, and now having bested Adams multiple times, surely that has to be the end of the feud? However it comes at a price. Unfortunately William Regal suffered a career-ending injury in that Steel Cage, and now Bryan goes back to fighting alone. On the positive side, Daniel Bryan has a chance to qualify for the World Heavyweight Championship Elimination Chamber match tonight, as he goes one-on-one with Seth Rollins. Can Daniel Bryan continue riding this wave of momentum? Confirmed Match Card:CM Punk VS Andrew Hunter Open Challenge:Nikki Bella /w Brie Bella VS TJP VS Braun Strowman Elimination Chamber Qualifying Match:Apollo Crews VS Baron Corbin Elimination Chamber Qualifying Match:Carmella VS Paige Elimination Chamber Qualifying Match:Daniel Bryan VS Seth Rollins

Budget cuts man. They’re gonna have some rookies from NXT run around with sparklers on the stage. I hope not. It would be weird to not have pyro at mania. 😢 I still find it weird that we don't have pyro on a weekly basis.

I want Nia Jax to have a good long reign as RAW Women's Champion, so I don't want to see Carmella successfully cash in on her.

Big E is my favourite. He's just so fun to listen to on the mic. Though I completely agree with McBlake. There is no wrong answer, all three are fantastic.

I'll just say that my interpretation of this thread is that it's intended to be a non-argument thread, where no matter how much we may disagree with opinions here, there is no need to dispute them. Anywhere, here's a few of mine:
- Blading is a barbaric practice, and there is absolutely no need for blood in wrestling, at all. - Asuka is horrendous on the mic. - Bret Hart and Ric Flair were both dull in-ring performers. Flair flopping on his face was incredibly stupid. - The bad segments of the Attitude Era by far outweighed the good. When I think of the Attitude Era, I think of Mae Young giving birth to a hand, Triple H committing necrophilia, Val Venis having his dick sliced off, etc. I think of the bad before the good, because the Attitude Era was home to the very worst segments in wrestling history, even given that it also had some of the best. - Today's product is my favourite era, even given how poor the creative team and camera operators are. - Sasha Banks is incredibly misunderstood by those who genuinely hate her as a person due to her no tolerance level with stalkers, and she seems to genuinely care about her fans. - Stalking a wrestler at their hotel or airport is not okay at all, and is shameful. - Nia Jax is great. - AJ Lee was the forerunner of the women's revolution, and made the biggest single-handed impact of any woman in WWE history. - Ronda Rousey should not be a heel, and should not ever dominate the women's division. - Baron Corbin is good. - Roman Reigns is great and decent on the mic. - Alexa Bliss is good, but should not be the face of the women's division. - WrestleMania 33 was one of the best. - Undertaker should have retired years ago.

I really enjoyed last night's RAW.
- The opening Heyman/Lesnar/Reigns segment just dragged far too long for my liking. - Nia Jax VS Mickie James was a good little match that served to further the Jax/Bliss storyline very well. Really excited to see Nia finally become champion at WrestleMania. - Miz TV was great, and I honestly thought the Miztourage had legitimately turned their back on Miz. Loved the fact that they played up Mr Perfect in regards to Curtis Axel. - The brawl between Sasha and Bayley was awesome, and it was so satisfying to finally see the blow-up between the two. It makes me so disappointed that they didn't reserve a spot for a one-on-one match between the two at WrestleMania. - The whole Braun/Bar segment was pretty good. Sheamus looked pretty good against Braun. - Despite being made to look incredibly weak, it was nice to see Absolution involve themselves, with Paige trying to get Ronda Rousey to join Absolution. I only wish Mandy and Sonya were able to put off more of a fight. Wasn't Deville an MMA fighter before becoming a wrestler? Shouldn't she be able to be presented as legitimate competition for Ronda? - WE FINALLY HEARD RHYNO'S THEME PLAY ONCE AGAIN!! - Honestly, I'm just bored of Cena calling out Taker. I just don't have any interest in an Undertaker match anymore. WrestleMania 29 was his last decent match. All of the following matches tarnished his legacy, in my opinion. Cena VS Taker is a match that would have been great a decade ago. But now it's too late. Besides, he went as far as he could without actually announcing that he was retiring last year. Why do that if it wasn't the plan?

Honestly, I do care. Which was a surprise to me, given how opposed I was to the idea of her coming to WWE prior to her debut. WWE have made me care, through giving her a babyface character (which is the complete opposite reaction to most people in this thread, it seems). As a non-MMA fan who honestly doesn't give a crap about what she's done prior to WWE, I wanted her to have a babyface character earning respect, rather than demanding it. If they had given her a heel gimmick and made her a female Brock Lesnar, I'd have zero interest in her, and I'd want her gone for the good of the women's division. My only concern is that they don't have her destroy the rest of the women's division on RAW. They've already had her make Dana Brooke, Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville look like crap. I don't want them to do the same with the rest. Hopefully with her babyface character, that won't happen. Either way, 'Bad Reputation' is great, and I love the Roddy Piper tribute.
On the negative side, she is atrocious on the mic, and I don't think I've seen anyone wear worse makeup, shy of being a clown. But I'm happy to give her leeway in regards to her mic skills, given that she's brand new to performing in pro wrestling. I only hope that she can develop her mic skills to at least a decent level in the future.

- Personally, I think the Bludgeon Brothers are working great. I gotta admit I haven't paid attention to the crowd reaction for them, but I think now that they've made themselves relevant to the title picture in recent weeks, the crowd should be giving them a reaction. If they were indeed getting a quiet reaction, I'd attribute that to their irrelevance to the title picture before Fastlane. I think the Wyatt Family ran it's course years ago, and I'd have minimal interest in them coming together again. - Dana Brooke and Dolph Ziggler sounds like it could work. - An absolute YES to Goldust and Mandy Rose. They were just perfect together in the Mixed Match Challenge. I think at this stage in his career, it would make sense for Mandy to be the wrestler and Goldust to be the manager, rather than the other way around. Goldust would work as a mentor, as he did in the MMC backstage pairing interaction videos. - Usos and heel Roman Reigns definitely sounds great. I doubt they'd ever go fully for Roman as a deliberate heel though. - An absolute yes to Rusev and Lana being together full time again. - Reforming the Lucha Dragons sounds great to me too. Neither man is really doing anything at the moment, as far as I am aware.
Earlier today I saw someone suggest Neville as Braun Strowman's tag partner for WrestleMania, and someone else in this thread suggested that the two team together as well. That sounds perfect to me.
I've thought for years that Miz and Ziggler would make an excellent pairing, with both as arrogant, cocky heels. Given that they're close friends in real life and have had similar characters, I'm surprised it never happened.

I've been to a couple of places on holiday (Turkey, Tenerife), but to be honest I'm just not a fan of holidays in general. I've been to numerous places throughout the UK before (London, Scotland, Cardiff, Isle of Wight), but I don't really count them as holidays.
I'll be honest, I just don't see what all the fuss is about, and why most people depend on holidays. For me personally, I'm perfectly happy to just stay at home. I just like being at home. Laying outside in the sun just doesn't appeal to me.

Recently watched Breaking Ground on the WWE Network. And I gotta say, it was really great. Very interesting. I just found it fascinating to see how Regal, Brookside, Amato, etc train their recruits. It's also interesting that the majority of Performance Centre recruits that the programme focuses on are clearly either didn't last, or still haven't progressed very far, judging by the fact that most of them don't have a Wikipedia page.
On a negative note, disappointed to find that WWE Network periodically removes Collections. Had no idea they did that. Just a tip, I found that if you add a collection to your watch list, it stays there regardless of whether it gets removed. For example, I can still access the Four Horsewomen collection through my Watch List, despite the fact that it's no longer there in the Collections section.
