Yes it does. Faarooq Asad should never and I mean NEVER been made and put into the main elite line. There are thousands literallly rotting in England now - Iโve no idea what Smyths were thinking but theyโre gonna have to sell them for a quid to get shot of them. But Mattel putting that figure in that slot and chucking much more popular acts/looks into niche niche US store exclusive slots is insane. Next to that, they could have had someone new in Ron Simmons space - anything would sell better. I've no idea who decides what to stock at Smyths - but I HATE the way they don't order full sets of figures: eg. ordering the Royal Rumble BAFs except for Brie; ordering the Legends 19 figures except for Brother Love; ordering the Greatest Hits 2 figures except for Harley. It's SO frustrating... |

What is up with Mattel lately I feel like Iโve seen a ton of stuff being cancelled or production runs being cut or misc weirdness. These should make it to retail eventually tho, donโt spend big on it That's what I thought... but our stores here either didn't get any, or he sold out very quickly. If you can get him for a decent price online, I'd go for it... especially after what happened with his first/original figure ๐ฅด. |

(In the UK) I found Harley pretty difficult to obtain too... Smyths - in their infinite wisdom - chose not to stock/order him and he seemed to sell out very quickly at on-line places too. I ended up paying just under double for one on eBay... ๐ฅด

Personally, I don't really mind... mainly because there's very few FTITL left that are "must-haves" for me - and secondly because I'm mainly collecting Ultimates now and selling off a lot of my earlier Elites.
I would like them to re-sign guys like LOD, Demolition, Dudleys, STING(!) etc., as they'd all make great Ultimate figures.

Anyone know if the bangs on "Jimmy" can be cut? I'm thinking of trying it (for Jey heads) - then getting the long-haired Uso's from a Battle-pack for Jimmy. Not to mention, buying 4 shiny/VAC tag titles too...

ETA: It's unfortunate if these don't come with the actual shiny belts but, funny thing, I keep staring at the belts on Sami and Kevin and somewhere along the way, the belts lost their shine (if they ever had it in the first place, I forget). If the belts are 'partially shiny' then they would be accurate... which would be wild if they chose to make specific new belts to reflect that accuracy but just completely ignored including two Jey figures in the same set.
Thankfully, I grabbed a Battle Pack basic that has probably the last good Jimmy head they ever made. Already have him painted up ready to go, just need to swap him on.
...which BP head did you use? (I think I might do the same!) |

Before you eat your sandwich...whats going on with this belts? Are they shiny or what? ๐คฃ The belts are not VAC'd. This was a surprise to me upon opening the package. Sometimes budget adjustments are made that include our exclusives and they are at Mattel's discretion. I would have obviously preferred them to remain how they were. For what it's worth I think they look great in person and I don't really agree with/see the Jimmy face issues. If anything I think the shape of his head could be a little bit rounder and maybe that's part of where the criticism is coming from but it looks better to me than when the protos were first shown.  I don't know... regardless of the hair (which neither of them have, lol), this is clearly Jey to me. |

They havenโt made the dime tag belts shiny for the last like three years Money. Figures have retail price points and they have to pinch every penny to make record profits again and again. Just wish premium figures came with premium accessories. Weโre paying extra for articulation hardly anyone uses and giant boxes. I understand that and know that it unfortunately comes down to budget. Doesn't explain why Randy Orton UE has the non VAC version of the Raw tag titles. They still make VAC titles in the Elite line. I'm pretty sure the UE Orton has the shiny/VAC version of the tag title... |

The more that I look at the Uso Ultimate Edition figure heads, I'm fairly sure that all of the heads are Jey Uso heads. The faces all look more like Jey. They gave "Jimmy" longer hair in the back, but when has Jimmy had bangs?  His hair is always slicked back. Any other thoughts on this? Lol... I said this in the other Uso thread: I think they must have actually mixed the heads up by mistake or something during production... the Jimmy heads are CLEARLY Jey (they actually look more like Jey than his own heads!). And Jey's heads - with the correct hair - would be far more like Jimmy. |

If it was a question of budget, then they should have just charged more for the set - I wouldn't have minded... I'm sure most other collectors out there wouldn't have minded either. Having dull belts with Ultimate Editions though is unforgivable(!).

Why make the chase figure so weak though? Why not have white tights Yoko - or black tights/red sash? ๐ง Weak?! Fans love debut attires and the chase is his debut attire for sure (and his Rumble win that made him #1 contender at Mania 9 if I'm not mistaken). Nah, it's a weak attire for probably his only Ultimate figure... I don't care if it was his debut attire - it should have been something far more iconic like his white tights/black sash look. |
