Like most people I never saw the original Flashback Harley Race (or any of that set) in stores, so I was excited about Harley being released again in the Greatest Hits line. I didn't preorder him from Ringside but assumed I could get one later, and sure enough it sold out before I grabbed one. I was worried it would not come back in stock, so I preordered from another site and was content to wait a little longer for it to arrive. I saw it briefly come back in stock twice on Ringside but didn't order because I had one coming and thought I was set. Wrong!
Just got this notice from the site I ordered from:
"Unfortunately, we're sorry to report that the manufacturer has notified us that we will not be receiving any additional shipments of the WWE Elite Collection Greatest Hits 2023 King Harley Race Fig you ordered, because they have discontinued production of this item."
So my Harley was cancelled and now Ringside no longer has him up. Guess I will have to take my chances at retail, although I have never seen a Greatest Hits figure (series 1 or 2) in stores. Serves me right for not preordering from Ringside!

(In the UK) I found Harley pretty difficult to obtain too... Smyths - in their infinite wisdom - chose not to stock/order him and he seemed to sell out very quickly at on-line places too. I ended up paying just under double for one on eBay... 🥴

What is up with Mattel lately I feel like I’ve seen a ton of stuff being cancelled or production runs being cut or misc weirdness. These should make it to retail eventually tho, don’t spend big on it

I think he was short packed in the side cap shipper. Idk why Mattel does that Saw 2 of those displays yesterday and they both had the SummerSlam figures in them. So some stores may not get the Greatest Hits wave at all?  |

Greatest Hits 2 weren't packed in the Summerslam shippers as far as I know. I never saw any and I never heard about anyone else finding any in the shipper. I have found GH 2 twice in stores, both times they were on the regular elite pegs, and both times Harley Race was the only one gone. I have 2 preordered from EE, so hopefully they don't get canceled and will arrive later this month as scheduled.

If you can get him for a decent price online, I'd go for it... especially after what happened with his first/original figure 🥴. |

Other than RSC and other online retailers I haven’t seen a single Greatest hits figure at mass retail. So I certainly would have preordered it from RSC once they listed it if I didn’t have the original already. And RSC had him for a while between PO1 & PO2 so there was no reason not to order it. You need to realize this isn’t a normal line of Elites so it’s not getting a production run that the standard Elite line gets. Especially when you consider they are basically rereleases. And this is just speculation on my part, but if Mattel produces a new wave of Elites every other month I would think this line’s maybe produced for half that time.
In this day and age it still baffles my mind that retailers still oversell product. They know what inventory they’ll have of something yet they oversell what they are going to receive. That’s one thing I’ll say about RSC they never over commit on their sales. That’s why if it’s a wrestling figure I “must have” I preorder from them. And not an online retailer that sells more than just wrestling figures.
