You Aussies have it even worse right? Or can you get stuff direct from China? At the moment, the stage is about $650au shipped (a little over I think when I backed it and got the pending charge). So it’s not too bad to be honest. I’ve always found Mattel creations shipping extremely reasonable. I think they’ve “over cooked” the estimated VAT and customs charges for countries outside the US. My advice to Mattel would be to simply charge what they are “required” to, and put a disclaimer up that any exported items MAY be subject to import fees as per your country etc. 👆

I really wanted an NWO Hogan -- because it's something new, and would have been amazing a few years after Hasbros stopped. I don't want a Hogan from any previous period. We had 4(!) in the Hasbro line in a similar attire, and you can probably buy one loose for not much more than the brand new Hogan that won't even be as good...what if you're a MOC collector though? (which I expect many are). I'm not saying to make hundreds of Hogans/main guys again... just put a few dotted throughout the line. I think the sets need them as anchors too.

What could they include in his ultimate to make it worth the price? Exactly Really? It would pretty much be the same as the new AJ Styles Ultimate: cloth shirt, waistcoat, 2 or 3 extra heads, extra hands. Plus a rib-wrapping. That's plenty for an UE. You could even include the US title too.

It's a retro line though, paying homage to the original Hasbro line... not a direct continuation of it. A lot of people don't have any of the original Hasbros (🙋♂️). So far, we've only had 2 Hogans (neither of which have been released yet), 2 Savages, and 1 Warrior. If anything, the line needs MORE of these guys. But it’s a continuation of a hasbro line, I would gather that more than 85% of the people buying these are people who already have hasbros. The reason the line failed the first time is the inclusion of newer stars ( which don’t fit in with hasbros). A hasbro hogan or warrior can easily be bought on eBay for less than $10. I would gather if there was a vote less people would want a yellow/red hogan then would be in favor. I didn’t include Brutus because that’s a figure that a lot of people want since it was canceled by hasbro, which would make a retro version desirable. It's NOT a direct continuation of the Hasbro line... I believe Steve himself even said so. It's a homage to the line, with a few highly-requested figures that never got a Hasbro release. I disagree that more than 85% of people collecting the line already have Hasbros... there will be a fair few, no doubt - but a lot will collect it because they like retro figures/stuff or it reminds them of their childhood. So you have to cater to those people too. And even those that already have the Hasbro figures... how many actually have large or complete collections? Very few, I'd wager... especially MOC. That's why it's nice to still have the big names like Hogan, Macho and Warrior released with new and mid-card guys.

Would anyone else be up for a 4-pack of Warrior, Savage, Hogan and Brutus all in their red and yellow gear? From summer 1992 and early 1993. I feel like that’d be the ultimate retro Survicor Series team. I personally would have 0 interest in this. We have tons of hogan, warrior and savages. If we were to get another savage I would prefer a long tights with a iconic look (mania 7 or 8) We have plenty of people who are signed that fit the hasbro criteria that haven’t been made in retro/hasbro form. I would rather new people be made It's a retro line though, paying homage to the original Hasbro line... not a direct continuation of it. A lot of people don't have any of the original Hasbros (🙋♂️). Ultimate or Elite...Doesn't matter to me. The real question is: light jeans and white rib tape, or darker jeans and black rib tape? Might make for a good chase variant in the Legends line. Definitely light jeans and white rib tape.

I'm not sure, to be honest... the prices Smyths charge (£26/27.99) are outrageous though. No wonder they have to reduce them. Ah yes, I remember that Ricardo Rodriguez BAF... I think it was the first ever Mattel/WWE BAF(?). Just think about that 🤭. Michael Cole was the first BAF. Unless you mean that was the first one the UK got. You're indeed correct... Mr Cole was the first BAF. And you're correct, Ricardo was the first one the UK got. I think I ended up putting a Bobby Heenan head on Ricardo's body and painting the bow tie... poor Ricardo. 😄

This. And even if it DOES hit 5k, it probably won't reach any of the tiers. It's such a simple solution too: like last time, just charge everyone the same ($400) and add the shipping for their country. The bank or credit-card company will sort out the exchange rate - and you'll get a charge (depending on your country's import/customs laws) when the package is ready to be delivered. It's not rocket-science. 🤷♂️ Some credit card companies won’t even charge you for foreign exchange purchases. Mattel have done absolutely everything wrong where international has been concerned. Like I’ve said. Let me pay my own customs next year. I don’t need to pay that money until it’s ready to be delivered. I’ll back 2. Yep. Plus - at that time, you're so excited to be getting your set delivered soon, you're past caring about the customs charge 😄.

They can shift around the tiers a bit and include Steiner with the base but for most non Americans it still won’t be worth $626 plus shipping Unless they roll out this change WITH an international fix it still probably won’t hit 5k This. I'd definitely like Bruno, sooner rather than later. Then maybe Orndorff or Hacksaw. I'd love Steamboat too... but if we're only getting one UE Steamboat (which is possible), I'd prefer him in his full dragon gear in the UE Legends line. Is there going to be a UE Legends line?Piper is getting a CC and UE release so Steamboat in CC and the Dragon in UE is certainly a possibility. Yeah, it's the Target one: Batista, NWO Savage, all-pink Bret, The Rock (upcoming). I *think* it's continuing...

Are the PPV/BAF series much more in the US/Canada - or is it (as usual) just in the UK? I thought they were always more expensive because of the BAF parts? I remember the BOPPV figures in Toys R Us being about £5 more expensive unless there was a multi buy offer on. And that was about ten years ago now, I’m thinking specifically the Ricardo Rodriguez series because I remember going to TRU in torrential weather looking for it. Although nowadays, not all of the figures even have accessories besides the BAF parts. I'm not sure, to be honest... the prices Smyths charge (£26/27.99) are outrageous though. I mean, if I’m not mistaken, it’s from the Spring Stampede match with Randy. That could be considered the biggest match he ever had. And it was only done once that I can remember in a Legends online exclusive. wasn’t it elite 36 also? Yeah... the exact same figure, just with pink trim. It's kind of like you're getting the same figure for a 3rd time (...WM 6 Warrior says hello... 🤭).

Okay and who should be second?! The billionth warrior?!? The DDP is unnecessary true but it’s ultimate and the heads are better and the hands. The Hogan is cool it has new parts but nowhere near as good as the early bird last time Warrior. The other WCW Warrior is extremely hard to find and going for well over $100 on the secondary market. It’s a unique look for the character with an awesome duster that has been heavily requested. It will also produce jeans that tuck into cowboy boots tooling that will also give us SS02 HBK down the road. Disagree... I'd rather have a new/first-time Ultimate of someone like DDP over someone who has already had 3 Ultimate figures (or more in the case of Hogan). This goes for the regular, Legends, MNW and Coliseum Collection UEs too.

I could have sworn I didn't get charged any customs/duties fees on the New Gen arena. The base price on the website was in US dollars when I backed it, and then the charge appeared on my card it was in Canadian dollars. This time around, dollar conversion is factored in, and a bunch of duties/customs fees are already applied which is odd. Why didn't I get charged for those last time around but am being asked to pay them (by Mattel not the courier in my country) now? If this thing was available for just conversion, after shipping costs and tax it would come out to about $625 CAD which is a lot more palatable. As of right now, the crowdfund works out to just over $800 CAD after shipping/tax. This exactly. We (UK) were also charged the base dollar price for the New Gen set, plus shipping. Then we paid a Customs charge - as expected - when the set was being delivered. No hidden costs... we knew exactly what we were paying for. It really does seem so easy/simple to fix: charge everyone the same price ($400), plus the shipping to their country. Your card/bank will convert the currency, and you'll be charged a Customs/Import fee (according to your country's laws) when it's being delivered. That's it. 🤷♂️

Steve, don’t listen to anyone. Keep Rey right where he is. Unless I'm misunderstanding things, Rey will stay where he is... the poll is for another (guaranteed) figure to be added - so you'll get that figure, Rey and the stage for $400.

True…and surprised a little but it is a ftitl figure he’s up against I'm surprised the Warrior marks haven't backed this set just to get him. There was a point in time where people were paying about 1k or more for his exclusives. Jakks I believe made this attire as an exclusive too. This Warrior has grown on me, I'd like to unlock every single tier. The more people who back this the more influential it becomes imo. I think people/Warrior marks were paying through the roof for those figures because there were only 20 made... not because of the attire (let's be honest... it's very plain - not a patch on his previous WCW UE).
