hogans slightly taller there. irl quake is taller They're the same height dude. In figure form and their billed height. At this stage it just looks like you're arguing for the sake of it my point is for mattel to achieve excellence. if you wanna eyeball it and say theyre the same height. cool. move along but the truth is quake was taller in real life and the hogan action figure is fractionally taller than the old quake figure. personally i'd rather have a taller quake figure. if you want a short quake whatever go nuts

mean mark looks awesome. road doggs head is ridiculously oversized and conveys no good likeness to road dogg. none of his personality. has zombie dead eyes like the hall of champs one edge wore kick pads later BUT NOT DURING THIS ERA

i see what you're saying but doing a direct line, old quake is still slightly shorter than hogan. which isn't accurate, and i'd prefer a monster quake that hogan has to look up to if i have to choose. ideally, mattel wouldve made a new boot mold that wasnt as tall and skinny that gave quake more height, but they obviously didnt cost it out or think they needed to I don't own the figures but asked someone to compare. This guy did a boot swap to make the new one the same height as the older one. hogans slightly taller there. irl quake is taller

What are the 2 steamboat attires from? They don’t seem to match the date on the back of packaging. the yellow one is from spring stampede 1994 and the white one is from 1992 sometime? actually 1993 vs regal i wish theyd done the awesome green attire vs austin, instead they go with boring white and red mattel is such a mess with their releases sometimes. doesnt anyone do a quick google search of stuff? get it together over there

i dont have them in front of me. but i dont think thats true. pretty sure old quakes are shorter than hulk I used Alexwestcollect's instagram comparison post. Both older Earthquake and Hogan line up with the new one's eyes. I also looked to the horizontal lines from the background to check. http://instagr.am/p/CZMhs5-uvWn i see what you're saying but doing a direct line, old quake is still slightly shorter than hogan. which isn't accurate, and i'd prefer a monster quake that hogan has to look up to if i have to choose. ideally, mattel wouldve made a new boot mold that wasnt as tall and skinny that gave quake more height, but they obviously didnt cost it out or think they needed to

Is warlord a good base for a Scott steiner? Might grab one online if so. Tia could be, you'd have to swap the legs or the lower legs to shorten the height

i keep buying warlords and kamas, just because they are still available. i cant stop. it's like some glitch in the matrix--somehow two of the best figures mattels ever released and are exclusive and they are available. like im buying them on principal. id be doing the same thing with zodac and davey boy if it were possible, those are awesome too

TheXtremisT ya but the old Mattel quakes were like 6'3. so those figures don't do him justice on a shelf Actually the older ones are as tall as Hogan figures. Such as the recent Survivor Series one. Both are 6'7 in real life. This one is as tall as the Undertaker. The old one comes up to Taker's eyes. Therefore this new one is about 4 inches too tall in the relative scale. i dont have them in front of me. but i dont think thats true. pretty sure old quakes are shorter than hulk

i wish mattel would make parts more easily swappable. at least the boots like masters origins figures. theres no need to make the peg so mushroom.
i did notice on the new elite flair, boss man, and jake figures you can pop the heads off without heat. Not sure if that's intended, but if it is, i appreciate it

accidentally posted this in legends 13 lol watch any royal rumble. earthquake towers over everybody. earthquake should definitely be closer in height to taker yoko looks up to quake and taker at almost the same angle, and yoko is standing even farther apart from quake in that pic and stands at both quake and takers shoulders pretty much MDT needs to fix yoko's height next

possibly unrelated to the newgen ring, but another thing i wish they'd do more of--those cardboard backdrops or even the package liners like the wm12 warrior and ecw cactus. i'd love to get a cardbaord back drop of these first two pics with the gravestones and beach sand etc, and it would be also awesome to get these old wrestler specific promo backdrops like the 3rd pic

i picked up a legends 13 jake that had black scuff marks all over the face in a sealed package BUT the paints apps were the best out of the other figures there. Like the eyes were the most centered, the mustache wasnt printed up the side of his cheek. So i bought it (the scuff marked one) gambling that i'd be able to use a magic eraser and get the black scuff crap off. And it worked lol
But ya i got so frustrated with Mattel, i decided that they are gonna fck stuff up and to just appreciate the gems. I was running out of space anyway. If Mattel doesn't wanna release a good, well designed, deco'd figure, i'll just not buy it or wait until they do in another 5 years.
It is a constant "serenity now" battle though

awesome bundles would include nwa and wcw ring mats, posts, skirts, and ropes. I'd actually be ok with them selling this ring again in an attitude era or nitro setup but since they'd be reselling it, that would have to be factored into the cost to consumer. Like if they had an awesome wcw entrance set like below, then tossed another ring into the package with differently tooled posts and turnbuckles. i'd buy it. but definitely ya if they drop an awesome ring then walk away from releasing any add ons for it, that would be really disappointing.

horrible walmart experience aka any walmart experience. the walmart company should be classified a criminal operation.
i was at target over the weekend and they recently put out a few boxes of legends 13. so i grabbed orton, blue jake, and triple h and tossed them in the cart along with a neca wingnut pack which i already had in my hands.
Then my wife takes off with the cart while i kept looking at the rest of the toy aisle. and I was like oh crud someones totally gonna reach in there grab those. they looked too awesome. so i double timed it to catch up with her.

oh crud you're right. i thought the new one was 20-21 sq inches roughly. dang. what is the deal with Mattel and huge and small rings. the 20x20 main event ring was perfect except for the low ropes/ring posts and lame light up gimmick. The new dimensions are the actual proper scale to our figures. 20 inches by 20 inches wouldn’t be mathematically accurate. if it's perfectly accurate to the figures, i'm cool with it, but for like toy production variance purposes, slightly undersized would be preferable to slightly oversized. anyway i can't wait for the whole release. And since you're here--i'm staring at the wcw boss man, yellow flair, and tiger rvd on my desk. They are so cool. The double jointed elbows on all the figs are a game changer. They can hold belts over their shoulders a lot more naturally and do so many more new poses. Thx for reaching new heights in the golden age of wrestling figures.

i dropped $250 for the ring, which was promised finally to be a scale ring. Not the ridiculous oversized elite ring. Plus the ultimate diesel. So while i wouldve been enormously bummed to not get that work of art Doink, and awesome Macho, and ring skirts, i still wouldve been happy to finally after over 10 years to have a scale ring I don’t think the New Gen ring is gonna be much smaller than the Mattel/WCT ring. Those were 22” x 22” and this is 21.4” x 21.4” oh crud you're right. i thought the new one was 20-21 sq inches roughly. dang. what is the deal with Mattel and huge and small rings. the 20x20 main event ring was perfect except for the low ropes/ring posts and lame light up gimmick.
