I'd be inclined to nominate Bret Hart circa 1997 for this award.

As long as the Ziggler/Cesaro rematched is saved for PPV and not next week's Raw I'm all good.

Got rid of Angle, HHH, and the HiAC. Rough vote.

too many ex-WWE stars coming in as upper-level heels in too short a time span for my taste.

Tough choices.
vs. Diesel vs. Undertaker (HIAC) vs. HHH vs. Razor

Edge should be #1, Lesnar should be lower.
Not even gonna comment on the Punk snippet because this thread's gonna go down the sh*tter fast because of it.

I also like how they're keeping the Takeover name, like the In Your House events with a different sub-name each event. I came in to say this too. It'd be cool if they went down this route, like they're "taking over" the WWE Network one night every few months. And the event was fantastic. So's KENTA's new name.

Why does the cage need deadly foot-long spikes anyway? The old one didn't require them...

It's a shame that the Triangle Ladder Match from WM2000 gets overshadowed by the two TLC rematches because IMO it's the best of the trilogy.

Wrestlemania XXIV is so sorely underrated. Great MiTB, fun Belfast Brawl (with the funniest spot of all-time: JBL tossing a trash can at Hornswoggle), fantastic main event.
Cena's return at the Rumble was insane--as an adamant Cena jeerer I still get chills watching that return. Not one soul on the good green earth expected his music to play at the Garden that night, you're lying to yourself if you knew he was gonna return.
Jericho was on his A-game throughout...first full year back and he's shooting out classics with HBK. Their Judgment Day encounter is an underrated one, the GAB match solidified the feud, and while Unforgiven shoulda been the end-game no doubt the Ladder Match was the kicker. The last great moment of the year.
Summerslam was another underrated one in the lineage. Epic encounter in HiAC, the perfect end to an Edge/Undertaker feud that went on an old-school, long feel. Cena/Batista was a cracker and HHH got a decent match outta Khali.
Punk's rise, Flair's last run, the mini-Batista/HBK feud, Kofi's first reign, and Glamarella all add to the good that 2008 brought.
As I said earlier, after Jericho/HBK the year just flatlined. Kane changed his theme & entered that garbage feud with Mysterio. They had nothing for JBL so they made him own MIchaels in a stupid way to capitalize popularity on the stock market crash. Punk's sudden drop back to the midcard was awful, as was the WHC situation, with Jericho and Batista playing hot potato until Cena took it. And don't get me started with the WWE Title. Hardy's out cold, Edge wins the belt, only for Jeff to win it back. Confusing and atrocious. The first 9 months were severely underrated but it's the last 3 that were so bad, it stains the memories of 2008, and plants the seeds for how god-awful 2009 was.

Speaking of Darren Young where is he anyway? I haven't seen him since the PTP broke up. He tore his ACL early this year I believe. And yeah, all this is just dumb. Sam doesn't need to be in the spotlight and the WWE should just concentrate on making their own product better with better storylines and matches, not necessarily bigger names.

I'd like to see one-off defenses on Raw, with a challenger that you know won't win but would put on a good match. It'd elevate the title (being defended in high-quality matches), get the champion over as a fighting champ, put over the underdog challenger, and get people to watch because some would say "that would be a good match" and you'd get a few that'd say "I wanna see [this guy] win!" I doubt it would happen during Lesnar's reign but if we got Lesnar/Sheamus or Lesnar/Cesaro, people would tune in.

The consensus seems to be face Cesaro with no Heyman. Fair enough.
Personally, if WWE had gone down that route I'd have Cesaro go over Swagger at ER, then enter a strong feud with Bad News Barrett. Barrett wins at Payback, Cesaro wins the belt in a Street Fight at MiTB.

I was reminiscing about Cesaro post-Wrestlemania, mostly about his alliance with Paul Heyman. Now the bulk of the forum (from what I've seen, plus myself) believes Cesaro should have sprung out of 'Mania as a white-hot face and beaten Swagger at ER, setting up a summer push. A lot of people also agree he needed a mouthpiece and Heyman was his guy. My question to you is:
Would having Heyman be Cesaro's mouthpiece work if they ran as faces?
I would doubt that Heyman wouldn't be able to convince the fans that he's righteous and a good guy, but I'd be afraid the fans can't get past the "one behind the one in 21-1" and would be booed instead of cheered. Although I can't think of any examples off the top of my head, I'm sure it's not unheard of a manager working as both a heel and face. Would it be effective? Would Cesaro be better off?

Then there was the final match between Austin and Taker. Austin hit Taker with a low blow before giving him the stunner and after Austin wins, the Undertaker gets up and shakes hands with Austin?? Your not going to shake hands with someone and show them respect after they give you a low blow. Hate to bump this but I'm rewatching the event right now and I may have an answer for you. Early in the night Cole was interviewing Austin about the match and he says something to the gist of "I respect you (Undertaker) more than anyone else in the business but I won't hesitate to cheap shot you or use a dirty move because I don't want you or Vince to have the satisfaction of seeing me lose my title." So it does make some sense, but I agree from a psychological standpoint it is baffling. And the event is just Attitude Era hype and nothing more. Even the ladder match was bland, not in the top 5 Rock/HHH matches IMO.

I want this to be a grudge match at Survivor Series with Rollins going over. Make the title bout for Summerslam '15 and give Reigns his crowning achievement then by going over Rollins.
Worth noting I'd set the Rollins cash-in sometime after Wrestlemania.
