Asda Enniskillen, has most of the Mania Basics at £12.50 each.. Slightly more expensive than Smyths, but couldn't say no to the Mojo! It's the first figure I've got with the new articulation, and it's really not bothering me as much as I thought it would. That was the biggest fuss over nothing I've ever seen.
The same people that constantly moan about the quality of DC, Legends and Black series compared to WWE, are the same people that moaned when the arms were made the same as DC and Blakc series...

I, and other smart dudes on here, could have feasibly written that BBC article 4 years ago.
If I worked in retail instead of banking, I could have turned Toys R us around without a shadow of a doubt. When the website was rebuilt 5 years ago, they must have paid a 14 year old kid they found online, 8 bucks an hour to build and design it.

If any of you fine chaps could grab me a booty O's I would be most grateful but only if mint.
I have one, but it got a bit beat up transferring in my suitcase in April.
Cheers

Looks like all the new Battlepacks are down to £19.99 in Smyths (Miz/ Maryse, New Day, Wyatt and Orton ect) For those keeping score, Basics are back to £9.99 and Battlepacks are down to £19.99, which is the cheapest they’ve been for a good few years. Hopefully this is permanent! With the quality of Elite line-ups coming out I could really do with a couple of quid knock down on those too... FX Maske, calls it again ;-)

It's an online only (I think?) store called T0ys and M@sks (I think it comes up as spam if I type it properly) that specialise in wrestling figures and do one or two other bits I believe it's co-run by a girl who used to run a store called sophz on eBay / Amazon and garnered a bit of a bad rep on here for their business practices. However, by all accounts they've got sober and are running a nice little operation now. Not bought anything from them myself though Thanks! I have actually heard of Toys and Masks, just had a brain fart moment! Lol Has anyone bought from them that would recommend them? And what were their "bad practices"? I don't really want to bad mouth a business for things that happened few years ago. Because that's not fair to where they are now.
They use to buy figs cheap and sell them at exorbitant prices. Nothing wrong with that.
But, quite a few of us use to get low ball offers from them, with claims like, "please, it's for my son's birthday." etc etc.
You can see my account is full of wrestling sales. Don't insult my intelligence.
Obviously now they are a full on business, and doing well, and selling new items. And lots of people seem happy. Their ebay rep is very good. So good luck to them.
Rather than the fishing messages on here, which are blatantly from them, I think it would do them the world of good to come on here as a fresh T&M account, state, yes, we use to do silly things when we were new and fresh, and we realise that was the wrong thing to do. And now, we want to run a reputable, customer driven business.
If they did that, I for 1 would give the benefit of the doubt, and have a crack at buying from them. Especially as they are now trying to give competitive prices.
There is another Asian dude that use to do the same thing constantly on ebay. A Sri Lanken account name. I'm sure we've all had bids. After multiple messages telling him to do one, in the end I blocked him. What is the point.

Compare away!! They are fair size firm I think! They have 14000 feedback on ebay, 1500 items for sale, and I may be mistaken, but I'm pretty sure they have had more than one account in the past under the Sopssszzzz name.
When they don't operate out of a warehouse in Swansea, open 300+ shops & when I can buy their shares I'll happily compare them to Smyths or TRU ha
Those firms both have under 100 shops each in the UK I think, and TRU are getting spanked because of it. It's not the model anymore. Retail shops are doomed. I was on my way to a lunch on Sunday and it was cancelled last minute, I went to Lakesides mall for the first time in years, and it spoke volumes. A) its still a carzi. B) it was empty. C) The entertainer doesn't even bother opening on Sundays. I went outside to TRU and SMyths and there was about 4 people in each.
T&Ms stock level is impressive in the photos I have seen.
I'm only surprised that Amazon has been so slow and quite expensive in the UK.

I certainly wouldn't blame anyone for that.
They seem to be a more professional set up now, and free of the cheap tricks they use to employ on ebay.
But they were one of a few back in the day, who had hundreds of figures for sale at ridic prices, yet were trying to tap me up for cheap figures, proclaiming they were skint / it was a their son's birthday, etc etc.
I expect that on insta, from poor kids in India, not a comparatively big toy company.
I appreciate you got burned by them man and listen if they did me wrong I'd hesitate to order from them again if they didn't put it right. I don't think we can even begin to compare them to a smyths or a tru they're still relatively mum & pop but in the UK we don't have the choice our American compadres do so we're kinda over a barrel. I'll not hold them to previous shady business tactics aslong as they continue to be reputable. Compare away!! They are fair size firm I think! I'm too cheap to have company loyalties I'll go wherever the best price is, Incidentally does anyone know the discount code for T&M?! I certainly wouldn't blame anyone for that.

Thurrock had 1 yesterday afternoon. I looked it in the face and didn't buy it. I'm simply not paying that.
I picked up the GM 2 packs for 15 each.
I've always advocated supporting smyths, but no one else is so I've given up the fight.
Pound is strongest it's been for 2 years. Elites should be 17 quid again.

Borderfree? Never heard of them before They're crooks and swindlers who WWE Shop have started using for international ordering. I only got my money back because I went to trading standards. If you use PayPal or Visa, they won't ever have a leg to stand on.

Just managed to order the Hardyz 2-pack. The borderfree stuff sounds quite worrying! Paid with Paypal so hopefully it will be easy enough to get the money back if they start messing around. Borderfree are fine mate. I've used them loads.

The pound has had a pull back vs the dollar.
The only reason that prices are moderating again.
Look at a 10 year graph of GBP vs USD.
It is a perfect inverse correlation of Elite prices since 2010.
I expect Elites to drop back to 18 within 2 waves. Depends if they already ordered 55 and 56. Probably did.

Revans have been picked up across the country.
Some nice people on Echo base on Fbook, sold them on for good prices. I paid 25 for mine, which I was happy to as all my entertainers has come up short, according to others.

As someone from Northern Ireland (the UKs armpit) where we only have 4 TRU's & 6 Smyths in the whole of the country I wish we'd all stop the bishin and moaning. That's far to kind to some of the shyteholes in England!!

This has been the same for 7 years. Hands up who bought Defining moments 1,2,3,4,5 in England? Legends? Original entrance greats? Then now forever? Build Jim Ross, Ricardo, Johnny L? HOF 1 and 2? Oh, no one. That's what I thought. (...those 3 BAF series and HOF 2 were actually available in the UK - but I get what you're saying!). To be fair though, the original EG, DM and Legends figures were all during the first 2 years of Mattel having the licence, when the line hadn't really caught on here and wasn't as popular. And they weren't store exclusives either, so were much easier/cheaper to get on eBay and the secondary market (...I remember buying full sets of the Legends figures and including shipping/fees, it worked out around £12-£15 each!). These days, people seem to be charging an arm and a leg for the figures... especially store exclusives. And the fact that all these exclusives are Flashbacks (that have all but disappeared from the main line) just adds salt to the wound. This is solely down to exchange rate, and oil prices.
We weren't complaining when Elites were 12.99 and the rate was 1.80 to the pound.
...I know the exchange rate is poorer now - but how come we (UK) still have to pay much more than the equivalent US price for figures? I mean, the Entrance Greats figures are $24.99 in the US - which is about £18 with the current exchange rate... so why on earth is the RRP £32.99 (almost double) here? Who actually "recommends" or comes up with these prices? I know Steve, this one seems to have taken on a life of it's own. I'm guessing that Smyths have started to be a bit more dynamic with their pricing. high to start with, so that that catch the NOW generation, and then quicker reductions. There is no way I will pay 32 for this.

I was referring to the entrance greats Kurt angle, and the and the entrance greats line in general Whilst that one has a life of it's own, Network spotlight, DM's, Elites, have all been pretty much 30% more expensive than in the US.
Hopefully this little bump back to 1.42 will have a knock on effect within 2 months.

Interesting points raised. Mattel's main market is the USA. It's USA stores that show interest in exclusive lines. It's a shame that since elite 52 the amount of flashbacks has decreased in the regular elite line, Undertaker and Scotty 2 Hotty the only two up-to elite 57, poor previous sales on other flashbacks ?. The removal of the flashback logo on the regular elite line is an attempt to not identify them as flashbacks in hope people will pick them up. Dude, you are mainly talking sense, but I have to say there are a couple of BIG caveats here.
"It's USA stores that show interest in exclusive lines." - its USA stores who DEMAND exclusives. When you have 6000 stores in one country (Compared to say Smyths 100), you can make these demands. i.e . "We sell so much product, we want some figures that only we can sell. "
In the case of Walmart, who own Asda, they tried to send some TNF basics. And they were very soon 2 for 15 quid. supermarkets do not do toys well.
In the case of Target, after some poor sales they were not taking up the full allocation, we got late offerings, like HOF 3.
TRU are TRU, and hence we get TRU exclusives, most of the time.
With regards to Flashbacks, you have to go further than that. I've posted lists before, showing just how FEW new flashbacks Mattel can make, due to legal issues, people that wont sign, etc etc. And when you look at early 90's midcarders that aren't selling, it's no surprise we are not getting any new ones. They have literally run out of people that they can both make, and sell.
I called the sharp decline of figures 18 months ago, and it's no surprise it has arrived.
The UK facebook group has become the new home of figure sellers that can't sell at previous high prices.
