I believe that while Mattels sales may remains high, the shelves are clogged because there are too many figures out right now. Rereleases Network exclusives Regular DM's, More figures in basic waves, A flood of Elite waves recently, Walgreens, Then Now forever, Hall Of Fame SDCC
even the most diligent of collectors is struggling to keep up. There has simply been too much in the last 2-3 months
The weakened pound has pushed the prices up as well. 24 quid for a 2 pack. They simply won't sell at that price.
My ebay sales have fallen sharply as well, and I've seen lots of large collections auctioned off individually lately. Figures that rarely appear, like Kevin Von Erich , has been on 4-5 times in the last few weeks.

I can't even take advantage of the 3 for 2 because of Bubba not being online. Might have to give in and get someone else with D'Von and Seth then find Bubba later on. I bought a Jim Neidhart, then remembered I already had 3 of them.... doh

Yep, I looked at global numbers.
6429 vs 80.
Or a store for every 47000 people, vs a store in the uk for every 750,000 people. They need more because they are serving more. Goes back to my quality over quantity mention. Smyths has less and does more...far more. We should call these stores directly and strive to be like that. I don't get what you mean mate? Smyths has 750,000 people per store to tap into. They are going to sell more in the right areas. Smyths still distribute more to certain areas. My Locals in North East London have MUCH bigger action figure sections than a store just 9 miles south in Central London.
If you get a Walmart, in a town of say 40,000 people, and they haven't sold a figure from Elite 36 or something, they are going to say, "Wait a minute, why should we stock wrestling figureS? We don't sell enough. Lets fill those shelves with guns/reeces pieces/ twinkies/whatever."
It's also economies of scale. You get these single stores with 100 Warrior DM's on the shelf. But they are looking at the bottom line. They may have ordered an extra 10000 figures, and sold 5000 more than they do for an average Elite, they have made their moeny, the rrest is the cherry on top. But the customer doesn't see the bottom line, they see whats on the shelf. They don't have the capacity, and nor is it worth their while to micro manage every single product they sell. They look at WWE Elites - DONE. Not, the 4 Elite Rick Rudes that happen to be left in Arkensas..... they don't care. They are too big for that. As are Mattel.

They are going to be constantly disappointed. In tiny towns, where figures aren't selling, stores aren't going to stock them. and who would blame them?
For some perspective, Texas is 3 times the size of the UK, and Smyths only have 80 stores across the whole UK. And they are almost all in or around MAJOR cities, or tightly packed densely populated areas.
Walmart and Target have over 8000 stores in America. They aren't going to sell what doesn't sell in all of them.
There you go, this has become a decent conversation!!! ![](http://www.mememaker.net/static/images/memes/4284987.jpg) One thing I'd counter argue is the number of stores: For Wal-Mart corporate.walmart.com/our-story/our-locationsThey mention 4,629 stores. For Target - corporate.target.com/press/corporateThey mention 1,800 stores. Together that's only about 6,429 stores, so Smyth's isn't too far behind. Yep, I looked at global numbers.

Unfortunately a huge % of my posts aren't moaning at other people posts, sorry kettle. More jokes, or attempt at jokes than anything else. The argument presented is about being able to walk into a brick & mortar store and buy figures. I get that you're trying to say that since you buy from a bunch of states often enough that it helps you, but that wasn't the point. Its about people here being able to walk into stores and get what they want and not rely on mail order. People here want to be able to walk into a store and have it look like a typical Smyths. Give it nine days and the forum wont be so quiet. We always hit quiet spots around here between big reveals. We're going to have a big set of reveals at Ringside Fest (hopefully) and then we'll start seeing posts about new waves of exclusive figures and then get excited on the next Ringside exclusive. We should fill these quiet spots with quality, not quantity. They are going to be constantly disappointed. In tiny towns, where figures aren't selling, stores aren't going to stock them. and who would blame them?

What shall everyone talk about then dude? Lets talk about nothing... in a Mattel Wrestling forum.
The other day I went to the nothing toy store. They had nothing on offer. And nothing in stock. So I bought nothing. The quality control was nothing. And the manners of the staff were nothing.
I travelled home with nothing. And then came on here to talk about nothing.
Don't forget, be a nothing poster, and make another nothing post. As someone who is in the United Kingdom, are you really jumping at the chance to talk to everyone about U.S. distribution problems? Thank god we have you around to add to that then. You know, shame on me right? I tried to move the topic somewhere that actually helps get figures in peoples hands, but if you want I'll make sure I shut everyone down if they try that. This way we can keep these distribution threads going since they're the only thread topics possible around here and it will keep you happy. Wouldn't want to see threads of people talking about what they bought, that might get your knickers in a twist. A huge % of your posts that I see are moaning at other peoples posts. Pot calls kettle black.
As for the sweeping, you are not from here point , I BET I have bought wrestling toys in more US states than 90% of American Wrestling figure fans. I would stake big money on it.
The forum has been extremely quiet lately. Probably because talking has almost become an offence.
You do have a valid point though. Somebody should call out a company. Maybe get to the head of distribution on LinkedIn.
I did something to Toys R US UK, because they used old stock photos for new figures, and never said what series a figure was in. Now they use the photo and the series of the actual figure they are selling. I doubt I was the cause, but every little helps.

You guys know that instead of making these threads, you can search out the stores corporate numbers and make complaints or ask questions and try to actually get something done? Let's start there. What shall everyone talk about then dude? Lets talk about nothing... in a Mattel Wrestling forum.

Every store/region is different. Always posts about finding new things. This isn't the reboot ghostbusters merch, mattel has a feel and knows how well wwe figures sell. You all are over thinking things. Over the last year and a half I have sold over 1000 figures and accessories. I'm an analyst for a bank and paid to over think......but sometimes, you can't beat just having a good feel for things.
In the past there were decent explanations for certain figures not selling. But I genuinely believe sales are down from having a good look everywhere and hearing the story in the OP more and more.
In the UK an Elite is now 19 pounds. You buy the set that's the same as 137 dollars.
We've had the spotlights, 3 quickfire Elite series + lost legends. and Not even had the TNF. About 30 figures in no time at all. Nearly 700 dollars, JUST on Elites. Plus the readily available Basics, 2 packs and DM's which have been abundant here recently. It's TOO MUCH for your average buyer

I said to someone last month, I think the arse has fallen out of it.
they are releasing TOO MANY figures. Too many Store exclusives.
I'm lucky to have Smyths......but no one is buying. They have a 3 for 2 on now. And you can still buy most of the figures from the last few series.
The Flashbacks from the last 8 series have failed to sell in the UK at Retail price. This was UNHEARD of previously.
I see lots of people selling their collections. I see prices on ebay lower. And I have sold a LOT less loose figures on ebay over the last 4 months, while moving prices down a touch.
Ditch the ".5" series. Ditch the "Network exclusive" Ditch the "You can't buy this unless you live in the good old US of A. Make a DM a DM quality figure. The Warrior is a fantastic figure, but it's too expensive for JUST a figure. As is Cena, as was Razor, etc.
I have to say, the quality of Elite 46 is OUTSTANDING. Accessories. Collectible parts. A return to Cloth clothing in the Elite series. Fantastic.
But people simply can't afford to buy SO many figures. It's Saturating the market.
Hence, in your regional/local US stores you are seeing a backlog. this is the fault of their dated stock keeping systems and distribution, and NO fault of Mattels.
It's also why I badger on in the UK board about supporting Smyths. If a store doesn't shift product, it won't keep stocking it. If you support your local stores, you will reap the dividends. we know Smyths will get it in, so why pay more to get it from Amazon a week early?!?

Hey all, just ordered another Elite 29 CM Punk, so I'll have a spare hoodie going How would I go about removing the logos off it? Was gonna put it on Ziggler I had some Rock trousers where the striping had mostly fallen off, I peeled the rest off no problem. They are just iron on transfers.
You could use an Iron to soften the glue, but be careful with too high a heat as it's a synthetic material.

I know this is not the place but has anyone got a sleeved Bradshaw loose? I would like to attempt to do a 2000-01 era Bubba Ray and need the arms from Bradshaw as per Joshua's suggestion. TIA! I have a MOC one that I would swap for a Farooq sleeveless. MOC or loose.

Figures are always worth as much as you are willing to pay for them, or sell them for. I hate when people say, "go to eBay and check it out." Because at times, people on eBay are jerks and sell things for way too high of price, and people look it up, notice they too have said item and think its actually worth that much, when its really not. And that's why you look at Sold listings....

Whoever reported it first was right, Basildon Tesco superstore had the entire line up of elites. Bradshaw, Farooq without sleeves. Seth Rollins, Stephanie, Brock, Dean Malenko, Adam arose, Macho Man. All £24. :( Blimey, I could do with 2 Farooqs without sleeves but I'm not paying that!!
