The Fatal 4 Way from SS is one of the few main roster matches that lived up to expectations, along with Styles Cena. Black/Dream is 1 or 2 just because how much better it was than everyone thought it could be. Legit MOTY contender. But, Bate/Dunne is WWE match of the year.

Anyone know how presale on Ticketmaster works? Iβve never used it on that site and there isnβt a WrestleMania 34 page up yet on the TM site. Ticketmaster is always a crapshow, lots of bots used by scalpers

Did you just say NOLA isn't s big tourist city? It's always a top 10 destination by tourists visits per year. Their entire economy is tourism. I was referring to year-round tourism. The city of New Orleans main tourism grab is the Mardi Gras. Outside of that, they don't get the steady stream of tourists like what New York, Las Vegas, and even Orlando gets year-round. I can assure you, this isn't true. Mardi Gras attracts around a million tourists a year. NOLA does 10 mil a year total in tourist visitors. They have one of the worlds largest convention centers and are huge in the business convention space.

I think WWE has passed on Indy because it's not a big touristy city. I am going to call shens on this. New Orleans isn't a big tourist city. Other than Mardi Gras, the city of New Orleans doesn't see much tourism. The same can be said for Santa Clara, California. What really sways a city's favor to hose a WrestleMania is if the city can give the WWE an offer they can't refuse. It is why WrestleMania XXXIV is taking place in New Orleans. Additionally, when XXX was held at said city, the talent loved it because everything in NO is centrally located. So yeah, a city doesn't have to be a tourist city to hose a WrestleMania, let alone a Super Bowl. Did you just say NOLA isn't s big tourist city? It's always a top 10 destination by tourists visits per year. Their entire economy is tourism.

That may be true, but is it stable? I think for any business to be healthy, they need to attract new fans, and it seems most of the hardcore ones are the older fans who have been fans since the 90's or earlier. I don't think lots of fans (especially the PG audience) are lasting fans. Lots of younger people than me who watched in the mid 00's have fallen out of it, and do quickly in their late teen years. Where most companies go wrong is they focus on the short term gain and fail to acknowledge the long-term implications. WWE can squeeze as much out of their hardcore fans, and there may be a lot of them, but there will come a point where it will no longer be sustainable, and it will no longer be worth it to those fans, especially if the product does not command such a price (cutting pyro is a small example of this for why people may not bother to buy a ticket to a show - a "last straw" from a lacking product, higher ticket price, and growing inconvenience of attending Raw, like the 3 hour format with lots of down time). Just a thought... Bingo, but the problem is outside of Reigns and Lesnar, there is ZERO long term vision for any stars or superstars. Right now WWE is sitting on a gold mine but do not realize it. Strowman, Joe, Styles, Roode, Nakamura, Balor, etc... could be legit faces of the company at once if they just looked longterm and not sacrificed them at the expense of Brock or Reigns or Cena. I am a big supporter of an "All Star Cast" rather than "The Guy w/everyone else." Just makes more sense to have everyone be a main event threat, which makes the product more exciting. When you have a show where every guy has a purpose and things aren't super predictable, the fans will watch more, show up to more shows, buy more merch, etc.... Unfortunately we live in a world we're most people can't handle long term booking. YouTube generation, we want everything instantaneously. We just had a "Braun Strowman Returns!" angle on Raw. He missed 1 Raw.....

WWE is making far more money now than they were when they had sold out arenas and a 9 Nielsen rating back In the late 90s. Why would they change their pricing? We live in a world where people will spend thousands of dollars to go to comicon and meet washed up old actors. A lot of entertainment is moving towards hardcore fans, which is what WWE is doing.

How much have packages gone up by? WM32 the silver package for 2 people was 1500 each. This year it was 2150. You have to factor in that Dallas has an enormous stadium so the tickets were cheaper. Also the package is now 5 nights because of SD Live now being included .

Man WWEs website is awful. Took a half hour of crashing before I got my package. Any thoughts on which hotel they are putting people up at for the travel package ? People are speculating that they will use the same hotels offered for WM 30, assuming WWE's experience went well with them. It took us an hour to get our packages ordered because their payment system was not working. It was so terrible, there was no excuse for it. I had the same issues when I did Summerslam travel packages in February. Only issue was every time I tried to cash out, they hit my credit card even though it said it didn't go through. I had 20k worth of charges on my Amex, and had to call WWE to have them cancel the extra packages.

Here's the difference. In NXT she was booked very well. It wasn't just the smark fans, she had a great underdog story that they built for over a year that culminated in one of the greatest women's matches in WWE history.
In WWE, they book her like garbage. For about 3 weeks they were heavily teasing a "never been kissed" angle, which was horrendous.
As for not being a main roster draw, she should be the female John Cena or New Day. Her gimmick isn't much different from ND, being an over positive geek, and they got over just fine. And she had a leg up in that she was massively white hot coming from NXT. She is just booked like utter trash.

A 2 hour Vince 30 for 30 would be amazing.

Don't think it's summerslam because I don't think they'd do 2 cash ins in a night. Carmella is cashing in at SS, which is why we have the out of no where Natty Naomi feud that no one cares about

Did alacart for WM30 and travel packages for 32, and the last 4 Summerslams
Pros: almost all the best seats are reserved for travel package people, either floors seats or the seats dead in the middle of the ring. Depending on which package you get, other items are included. For example, private meet and greats not open to the public. You get everything at once and don't have to do it separately which does become a bitch. There are 5-6 events WWE hosts that weekend, all with different on sale times and days, some not until January.
Cons: random seat selection, you don't know your exact seat and row until they mail you your package a month before the event. Hotels are sometimes no where near the event. SS, the hotel they use is an hour drive from Barclays, for 32, it was s 45 minute bus ride. Pro is they pay for you to get to the arena (coach bus, subway tickets).

I find it really odd to say not "some 260 pound overweight guy" but then to mention Quake and Abdullah. Those guys weren't monsters.. they were just morbidly obese. No disrespect to either, but Quake wasn't intimidating for anything other than sitting on people, and Abdullah was a maniac; his size had nothing to do with his presentation. Braun and Authors of Pain fill the monster role nicely, but they're in shape and can actually go. Wrestling has thankfully moved past the Viscera/Yokozuna era. Now that everyone isn't a roided up freak, guys like War Machine and Samoa Joe, who're really big guys but also super athletic, fill those monster roles. That's definitely a good thing Earthquake was 6'6 460, he was pretty damn intimidating.

They want to take models like Lana and Eva Marie and try to get them to wrestle. Emma is pretty close to model territory and can actually go in the ring. Makes me wonder what the hell they are doing.
