Apparently the plane hit a flock of geese, was airborne for less than 6 minutes, and made a control landing into the River. Apparently the pilots made a 'perfect' crash landing into the water. There is survivors.

Props to the pilots for being able to 'crash land' safely.

Yeah I just heard about this, my sister called because apparently it happened by her building. Good thing it seems that the passengers survived.

Those Pilots saved a lot of lives with their brilliant flying. They deserve some kind of award or something.
Also luckily the Hudson had a lot of boats around to help these people out.

Damn, I live by the Hudson and I didn't hear anything about this. Whereabouts was this, near the city? I heard them say it was around 42nd in The Hudson, and the Plane has since floated its way down to 23rd and is still moving. The work of these pilots was unbelievable. A lot of people said he pulled the front of the plane up before it hit so he could lay it down and not hit the front head first. Which definitely would of been deadly. Also there was a story that the boats nearby were throwing life jackets to the people from the plane.

I really have to give it to the Pilot(s) on this plane, they handled this amazingly and also to the boats/fairies and all the police and fire that helped in such a short amount of time.
