I was wondering if any of you guys get stage fright? I used to have it really bad, like couldnt even stand in fron of people, but now its gotten kind of better for a few reasons: I play tuba in marching/ concert band, so i am usually in the back whenever we're doing a concert, and alot of times i have my friends in the audience who cheer for me(even though i have trouble performing in front of family), but I'm also in a metal band and we dont have a singer so me and the guitarist (i play bass) switch off vocals, and for some reason i cannot sing in front of people. i'm fine playing, but i shake and get very warm whenever i try to sing in front of anybody. except last year we did our first full set of songs basically and i sang about 2/3 of them, and for some reason i had no trouble singing, even though we did really really bad. any ideas? i was just wondering if you guys get stage fright and what you do about it?
(waiting for 'imagine them in underwear)

You know I really have no problem in my head beforehand...but going to group interviews a few months ago, I started shaking for some reason when talking in front of everyone. It was weird because in my head I wasn't even nervous.

I've never been on a big stage, but I'm sort of shy so yeah, I guess I do.

No, i'm very shy when i'm in a room with people i have no idea who they are. But i have no problem with stage fright, i've done plays and musicals and chior and all. Only thing i do get nervous about is my singing, cuz i'm not the best singer nor the worst but i am always afraid someone is just gonna be like you suck! Then before i go on stage i have little butterflies but as soon as i'm on it they are gone.....but what i usually do, is tell myself i am gonna do amazing, everyone is gonna love me, and if something goes wrong, MAKE IT WORK

I would get butterflies in my stomach and stuff before going on and performing a skit in Drama, and before my old band would play a show. But, you just gotta power through it and go on.

No, not at all. I've been part of an improv troupe for years.

I had stage fright once when I was younger, but after years of being in chorus, drama class, and taking public speaking the fear is gone.

I haven't had it in a while. The last time I had a bad case of it I was in fifth grade and new in my schools band. That was becasuse I was new to middle school and all. But since i've pretty much grew out of it. But, playing in a smaller place is the worst. I hate seeing people's face's while I'm playing my drum.

I get it because I don't do it very often. My group communication class made me a lot better though.

I only get stage fright if I have to talk, especially if I don't know the people I'm talking to. Personally, I love entertaining crowds, and I can just block pressure out of my head.

It's funny, I feel comfortable in front of a large audience but giving a speech to a small classroom makes me nervous as .

I like talking in front of large crowds. It makes me feel important. Haha.

I've never really done it but I think I'd have an easier time in front of a large group of people than a smaller classroom. I've always, always hated giving presentations in class and hate being the center of attention for things.

I do, but (i dont mean to sound egotistical here) i have really good comedic timing, so if i start off by saying a joke or something, i get really relaxed and can usaully go no problem.

Public speaking has always been really really hard for me. I shake really bad and get really nervous.
