well technically speaking, nobody SAW Benoit kill them. There was no witnesses and not really any evidence they pretty much just assumed it was Benoit. It was never reported that any fingerprints or DNA of Chris was shown on either of the bodies. You're questioning whether the psychopathic, murdering b*stard actually did it? No, Im playing the devils advocate role. I have my own personal thoughts and beliefs on Benoit and it will remain the same but some of you kids have to quit watching TMZ and then coming on here goin OZMG hez a KUlleR!!!

He's a murdering freak that doesn't even deserve to be rmembered at all, let alone placed into the WWE Hall of Fame. Whatever his accomplishments in wrestling beforehand, his acts as a murderer completely cancel all that out. He deserves zero amount of respect or sympathy from anyone and shall always be labelled as a killer over a professional wrestler. So, yeah, there you have it Mr. OMZ DEVIL ADVOCATEZ!!!1!

No, I never said "OZMG hez a KUlleR!!!", I said he murdered two innocent people, his wife and his 7-year-old child. All signs point to that being correct. Just like all signs point to Jimmy Snuka murdering his girlfriend. I never said that Benoit did, and Snuka didn't. I was just saying that they are not the same thing. I'm not the conspiracist crackpot here....

Like him or dont, respect him or dont but I dont think its fair for people to be bashed because they can appreciate someones in ring or on the field accomplishments no matter what happened in their personal life

He murdered his INNOCENT wife and son. That overwrites ANYTHING he EVER did in wrestling. No, he must not be inducted in the Hall of Fame. End of discussion. ^ This is all that needed to be said. Thank you I'm not going to flam or bash people, but if WWE EVER inducted Chris Benoit into the Hall of Fame, I would stop watching WWE. Period. Quote me if you want, because that is a fact.

"Over a three day period, Benoit had killed his wife and son before he hanged himself. His wife was bound before the killing. Benoit's son was drugged and likely unconscious before Benoit strangled him. Benoit then committed suicide with a weight machine."
Does that sound like someone who should be going into a hall of fame?

But people should be bashed if they can overlook what he did. That's wrong. I'm not gonna bash people for saying "Chris Benoit was a great wrestler" because that's true. I agree, Benoit was a great wrestler. But that doesn't matter. Like I said before, he murdered his innocent wife and 7-year-old child, that overshadows anything he ever did, and he doesn't deserved to be honored, even if it is for his wrestling skills.

I'm not going to go to the extreme like I usually do with this topic. So I'm just going to say before they are wrestlers, they are human. Chris Benoit did something that was inhumane. When someone takes someone else's life, what they do or even did for a living is a non factor.

I know what ya mean. Trust me I understand the ill feelings towards Benoit. Im not thrilled about it myself but I was a Benoit fan back in the WCW days and I still enjoy his in ring work. I love watching old Nitros and WCW ppvs and seeing him with Pillman and Malenko when they were Horsemen. Do I think he killed his family? Of course. Should he be in the HOF? As a wrestler? Yes but after the murders it wont happen. I just hate the fact that you cant be a fan of someone without getting bashed. I hate you cant be a Benoit fan cause you watched him 10 years but once he killed someone you HAVE to ban him from your life. Its just silly. Im a fan of old NFL film tapes with OJ Simpson. Doesnt mean I condone what he did, but I shouldnt be bashed for enjoying him either.

I think you have to realise that there no way the WWE can publicly show the man any sort of praise or give him any credit in any way.

He took two people's lives. Should we forget him completely? No. But should he be inducted into the Hall of Fame? Hell no. Is WWE right to not mention him? Yes, they are. If I said Chris Benoit was a bad wrestler, that would be a lie. If I said I didn't enjoy some of Benoit's matches, that would be a lie too. But just because he was a great wrestler, people shouldn't overlook the fact he murdered his wife and son.

Dont forget anyway that wrestling is just a job when it boils down to it. Most wrestlers do it to fed their families the same as any normal man or woman.
So Benoit was good at his job yes but I think its safe to say as a person he had alot of problems.

I agree with G2, but I'll just leave with this, it's just the WWE Hall of Fame. One of those W's stands for "Wrestling". This isn't the Nobel Peace Prize.

I understand that but the fact that this place isnt mature enough where we cant pull a 5 star match off youtube with Benoit in it and post it on this board and be like damn this was a great match without someone coming in and making a big deal about how he's a murder and he needs to burn in hell....Ok so he is and he does that has what to do with a match from 1995 in Virginia against Dean Malenko? Ya know?

So what do you propose the Video package is on the hall of fame induction "Benoit put on many 5 star matches in his life and developed many submission holds, one which he used to kill his son in his bed room, ladies and gentlemen please rise and show your respect to 2010 hall of fame inductee Chris Benoit" Can you see why it might not work maybe?

If.....IF...IF you wanted to put him in, then you do it quietly. Not ceremony. No announcements. Just load his picture up on the website and send the HOF ring to his father. That way you celebrate the wrestler without making a big circus of the tragic events of the past. It wont happen though

Chris Benoit the wrestler deserves to be in the Hall of Fame.
Chris Benoit the person does not.
Sadly, I cannot separate the two. I don't see it ever happening.

Inducting Benoit into the Hall of Fame would be like giving Hitler the Nobel peace prize.

Yes he should be inducted. But it won't happen anytime soon. I give it 20 years at the least.
