I'm not talking about the Attitude era, I'm talking about the WWE before 2008. There was a time when the rosters, shows, and PPV's meant something and felt more special. I think the product started going downhill around mid-2008, around the time it went PG. I'm not blaming the rating, but I'm saying that after that things seemed to get bad. First of all, the Raw roster right now is a complete joke. You got these guys like MVP, Mark Henry, Evan Bourne, Primo, Chris Masters, Chavo Guerrero, Hornswoggle, etc, who are a joke. There was a time when MVP was amazing in every way, now he's hideous. Nobody seems to be given a push, nothing. It seems like everybody is thrown into matches and means nothing. Smackdown also seems to be a disaster, but at least somewhat better than Raw.
I don't know, but everything seems to get worse...
I miss ECW too, as that was easily the best weekly show... now we sit through this garbage show "NXT"... which I don't even bother to watch.

Well, I do miss it, but I don't think you should say NXT is garbage if you haven't watched it.

I feel it went downhill around the time the Michaels Jericho program ended in 08. Raw and Smackdown haven't been good together on a consistent basis in a long time.

The "Ruthless Aggression Era" from 2002-2008 was great, but it went downhill in 2009 with the PG Era

Absolutely not.
IMO 2003 through 2007 were the absolute worst years in WWE/F history. Worse then 93-96. They were in like an awkward stage between the "Attitude Era" and the current Era. Sure some of todays biggest stars were being groomed, but my God was there a glut of garbage.
Too me, WWE finally started hitting it's current stride when it went HD. So basically from Royal Rumble 08.
I have been watching for the better part of 25 years and 03-07 was the suck.

I don't think 2006-present have been as bad as people say. With the exception of 2007. What a ***tacular year.

MVP, Mark Henry, Evan Bourne, Primo, Chris Masters, and Chavo Guerrero are a joke? Really? Just reread it and think I may have misinterpreted it. But still. I personally have been really fond of WWE the past few years. As E&C said, it's not nearly as bad as people make it out to be.

People definitely exaggerate the quality of today's product. It's as if the shows are booked by a WCW-era Vince Russo to some people, but it quite clearly isn't.
The product of today is definitely more entertainment than wrestling, but that may be a good thing. It's not as if wrestling has gone completely. They are simply moving with the times, and entertainment is definitely the way forward coming into the new decade.
Would I like to see more wrestling? Yes. But do I think the product of today is terrible because of that? No.

I will say though this guest host thing is kind of ruining RAW for me on a weekly basis. They're having some of the best shows in their history lately, but they bring it down due to a leperchaun giving two has beens his "magic" cereal.

I like it. Sure I might not agree with every decision they make, but I'll take the good with the bad.

Well, yes and no. 2002-2005 and even 2006 was a decent year. However, I really enjoyed 2008. 2009 was pretty horrific, on scale with 1995, imo.

I don't think WWE is that bad the only think i miss and want from it are lower card feuds. It seems like the only real feuds and focus is the heavyweight title. I mean you got tag teams bein thrown together to go after a belt, the IC belt i don't really know b/c its on Smackdown and i don't follow it, The US title Miz has and hasn't defended it in a while. It just needs more feuds imo.

Boy, who DOESN'T miss the days of great storylines like Vito in a dress?
People like Ashley Massaro, Orlando Jordan, The Basham's and John Heidenreich? Man, those were the days.

The older you get, the harder it is to enjoy wrestling. I don't think its a product related argument, just an age one.

The "Ruthless Aggression Era" from 2002-2008 was great, but it went downhill in 2009 with the PG Era Indeed, it was an amazing era, but In June 2008 around when Punk won the World title, it ended(imo), and became the curent era. And I am not blaming PG, because it was PG since May 2008, and May 2008 was alright, but all of 2009 sucked in my opinion.

Yeah, Summer of '08 was not good for WWE. They changed so many things(Ratings, GM's, Commentaters, storylines and rosters) and I don't think that has worked for the most part. RAW's been down mostly since then, ECW was good and became better and for some reason they cancelled that and put on a show with the same rating and SmackDown has been back-and-forth.
Boy, WM24 sure seems like a long time ago. Hopefully WM26 and the impending Draft bring back some major excitement to WWE.

Really? I thought RAW in the summer of '08 was great. It had a lot of guys that were in the RAW main event for the first time ever, or in a while. But there were a main seven guys, Punk, Cena, Jericho, Mysterio, Orton, Batista, and Kane and whenever one of them did something, it had some kind of rammifications on the other two, and then it culminated with the scramble match.
