Just wondering if Mattel will be able to make a Diesel and Razor Ramon figure. Nash is in TNA, and although Jakks made a CS Kevin Nash figure when he was in TNA, TNA is now w/ Jakks and I was wondering if the WWE can still make him in a legends sort of deal. Same w/ Scott Hall, though he is gone from TNA.

I've been thinking the same thing. Would love a clique 5 pack. It could be made. The characters "Diesel" and "Razor Ramon" are owned by Vince and the WWE so I don't see why we won't get them eventually.

I guess Mattel could make both Diesel and Razor if they sign them up.

Doesn't Vince own the rights to Diesel and Razor Ramon? That doesn't mean it includes rights to the likeness of Hall and Nash though.

Diesel, Razor, and X-Pac were all released by Jakks in the WWE Classic line when those men were in TNA. WWE owns the character names and likenesses, so if WWE wants those figures released then they can do that.

Actually Mattel could release the figs because of the names and likenesses are owned by Vince McMahon. I too would love to see a Kliq and Nwo/Dx set released. That would too sweeeeeet!

That would be awesome to get either a diesel, razor, and 123 kid or the nwo version of all three guys!

If they can't, just do a fake Diesel. Kane's in the company, so it works out just fine.

Mattel could make Razor Ramon (Scott Hall) in the legends line but I don't see Diesel (Kevin Nash) getting made anytime soon. WWE do own the Diesel name and likeness but don't own Kevin Nash's likeness so getting him won't happen till he is released by TNA!

unless Nash signed a exclusive deal with Jakks(which I doubt he did)these are totally on that table.
also Hall always needs money!!
and Mattel does need to sign the guy that played the character even though innie owns the gimmick......ie Bill Eadie and Ax.

I don't think Vince owned the Demolition gimmick, Eadie did or does. It's the reason they are able to go around the indy circuit and call themselves Demolition and Ax and Smash. Doink was able to be made because no one person owned that gimmick and anybody could be behind the face paint. If Borne or whoever wants royalties from Doink, first they can claim they own the gimmick and if for some reason that doesn't work, they can always say it's Steve Lombardi. They could make a Kim Chee figure as anybody could be behind the mask. Technically it's the reason they could make a Blue Blazer figure as anyone could be behind that mask.

Im pretty sure Vince owns the name Demolition however Eadie and Darsow cant go on any tv shows like ROH or TNA and refer to themselves as Demolition. It was a whole big lawsuit and I know technically Eadie lost it. As for Diesel and Razor. WWE owns the gimmicks but you have to sign Hall and Nash to use their likeness. If they dont sign, you dont get them.

But they still sold the events on DVD, so you'd think the WWE would not allow that since it's on DVD and they are making a profit off those DVD's.

Someone already beat me to it but, a new NEW Razor and NEW Diesel 2 pack would be a great bizarro-jakks move that Mattel could make.
Those figs, even though I like Hall/Nash are shelf warmers most of the time anyways.

I'm sure you are right that there was a lawsuit between him and the WWE. But I believe that was before Demolition got CS figures. So they could have worked things out. Eadie had always seemed bitter before getting a CS figure. I believe he was always trash talking the WWF/E and Vince McMahon.

I'm hoping that we do eventually get a Diesel figure. I was disapointed by the Jakks one, and I'd love to see a Diesel figure thats actually in scale w/ real tassels on his tights and a vest. I'd love a 3 or 4 pack of the New Generation wrestlers, w/ Shawn, Diesel, Razor, and 1-2-3 Kid or Bret in it.
