lost interest shortly before HD started... And imho you cant beat the 90's, wcw and wwf, even ecw was ok but nothing special, i feel they're stale, too kid based as ufc and mma has taken their older spot, sad really,

UFC/MMA did not take any spot the WWE once had. I love the current WWE.

RAW is substantially better than it was last year, but that's not saying too much.
PPV's seem to get worse as the months roll by though and that's probably the biggest indication of the lack of the overall of wrestling talent on their roster. I'd rather have better PPV's than a better TV show.
There's a lot of things that still irritate me about the current product, but it looks as if they have some direction now at least more than they did 6 months ago.
Eh, I'd give it a C+.

I believe WWE right now is just way too safe. Not in a PG way or chairshots, blood, etc way but in a risk way. I mean look at Miz/Morrison, though I havent seen the match yet, there has been good reviews about it. So why not put that on PPV as opposed to Miz/Orton?
Then you look at the Cena scenario. You "fired" him. Why not give the guy a break from all the travel and whatnot, give him a chance to collect himself. Cena wouldnt have gotten injured if he was actually given time off. But no, they NEED to keep him on TV. That I just dont understand.
But some things they are doing are indeed quite interesting, just I personally dont have faith they will take the big risk. Everything just seems too, I dont want to say predictable, but I guess.. they arent taking as many chances as we all would like them to. Miz as Champ was a first risk in a while.

RAW's gotten better, SmackDown's gotten worse, the loss of ECW is tremendous (to me). There's more than enough guys that I like to keep me interested but overall the product still lacks good writing.

It's better than 2009 but the loss of HBK, Jericho, Batista, Jeff etc. has been a huge blow imo.

I couldn't have put it any better myself. I miss the awesomeness that SmackDown used to have. I think an addition of Jericho, when he finally returns, would be great.

It's not bad, just not exciting. Sometimes I get that small glimmer of hope that something cool will happen... until they go the predictable and safe way. Sometimes I feel force-fed and sometimes I feel as if I'm watching a kid's show but at the same time something will always keep me hanging on. As far as the wrestlers are concerned, I'd say that a lot of them aren't too special either. There are some and them there are a lot...that's basically the best way to describe it for me As far as today's WWE I'd rate it a 5/10

i used to be a hardcore wrestling fan but started using intrest in 06, the lack of talent and people being pushed too much (cena) that should be. i cant hardly stand wwe now only watch every once in a while the falls count anywhere match last night was good but ended to fast
i think if wwe wasnt so kid friendly and they retreated to the attitude way of entertainemnt itd be much more entertaining

I lost a lot interest in the latter half of 2010, I rarely bothered to turn RAW on, and only knew what was going on from reading this board. 2010 wasn't even a bad year, it was great, but I guess I just lost the passion I had for the sport.

I have been more interested in wrestling the last year than I have been in over a decade.

I sorta feel like some members of this forum and other internet fans have lost the point of the WWE today. When people complain because it's "a kids show" I really wonder what they tuned in for. It's WWE in 2010, not the attitude era, nothing of the sort. It is a kids show.
WWE isn't trying to entertain the wfigs demographic, the older male. Sure, it did in the past, but not really these days. If you took the entire audience at a WWE show, a large majority would be kids. While people that aren't kids enjoy it, they are not the target audience. All of my non-wrestling watching friends can name maybe 3 wrestlers in WWE today. Cena, Orton and Miz. Which is why when people complain about Cena I am flabbergasted. If i was 8, I would be a huge Cena fan, shirts and all. WWE is a perfect entertainment for a kid, and WWE knows this.
Just some thoughts i've had recently.
