I picked up a set of Monster HDMI cables at Wal-Mart and WOW, they're unreal. They work great for my TV and what I didn't know was they work for the 360 too, which now looks amazing compared to before. Anyone else use these? I'd recommend them for sure!

I bought all my HDMI cables for less than £2 and they compare just fine to anything else I've seen.
A HDMI cable is a HDMI cable, the only difference is price.

Is there really no difference in HDMI cables? Not one that I can thing of. Just bought one from Amazon for three bucks, and it's no different from the one I spent thirty on a few months ago. Just read any of the hundreds of user comments about HDMI cables in general. It'll make you angry that name brands try to charge upwards to $50 for just one.

Price doesn't matter as long as they are the same version (1.x) they're all going to work the same. You either get a picture/sound or not.

Monster is insanely overpriced, but if you got them for $15 that's not bad.
As far as difference goes, there's really isn't when dealing with cables. the higher priced ones will often have a thicker insulator, but that really doesn't make any difference at all.
I need to find the HDMI that came with my bluray player. I misplaced it when I was moving. Having the bluray hooked up with AV cables and that works fine. I'm not sure it brings it to full hd though.

You can use component(green/blue/red) for picture but HDMI is the best way for a true HD experience. Try monoprice.com if you don't find your HDMI cable.

Is there really no difference in HDMI cables? Not unless the cheaper cables are damaged.

I feel stupid for payin 50 bucks for mine. Honestly man, it's a price one could pay for not looking into things. I did the same thing man. I bought mine for $34, not knowing that cables even existed for a price under $10. I felt so stupid when I found out that you can get them for so cheap, and that there was no difference between the overpriced ones and the $2 ones.

there is a difference in HDMI cables. i've been working in sales for about 5 years in an electronic store, and have owned about 25 different hdmi cables. each has different speeds that they transmit, some have different color bits that they pass through, ect ect ect. i've set up 3 televisions, all the exact same model, one next to the other, all hooked up to the same blu ray via receiver, using different cables. each was a 1080P 240HZ LG 42" LED. you could see the difference as if it were night and day. i brought over at least a dozen different customers to check them out, and they could even see there was a difference. anyone who says there isnt, is a ing fool

Also, I would put more stock in claims made by people whose job it is to review, test, and try home theater equipment over a person whose job it is to sell home theater equipment. That's just me, though.

I got the cheap ones and don't really care. They do a great job and its better then throwing away like 50$ for one, when they do almost the same thing.
