I stopped collecting figures nearly two years ago now and I never got a chance to buy any of Mattel's WWE products. I've been looking at some of the latest releases and I'm really impressed with the quality of figures such as The Miz Elite Series, Randy Orton Elite Series 9 especially with the coloured title and t-shirt. I just wanted to hear how people have taken to Mattel and whether they are happy with the products or not

Mattel is amazing, plain and simple. I have no problem spending $200-$300 a month on their products. They've made figure collecting a blast!

I absolutely love em! I collected Jakks for many years, but Mattel crushes them in all aspects. I can't even look at my Jakks collection the same way anymore.
Now when Mattel first started there were some scans that weren't very good, but in the last couple of months they have been getting better & better.
And it is so awesome to have finally scale. No longer do I have to worry about my Evan Bourne being taller than Taker. So in my personal opinion Mattel are way better than anything we have ever had. And well worth the price.

The Elite/Legend figures are pretty much what I wanted to have growing up. It's sad in that way, because it's too late to really enjoy them with a child's mindset, but it's also really nice at the same time. Overall, I'm very happy with them. Plus, they made Hart Foundation '97 Bulldog and Pillman. I have the softest spot imaginable for that time period, and I never thought I'd see the day where higher-end figures of those particular attires from that particular time period would be made. If we're able to get Bret (highly likely) and Anvil from those days as well, I'll be set.

No, their figures aren't that good but the accessories are.

They started out great with all the new characters, new sets, and everything being new. Now we are getting a lot of repaints and its losing its luster imo. I started out collecting everything 2 packs, elites, legends, basics, now i am down to legends if i even find them. It was really fun when the started but now they are slowing it down and the fact that i can't find half the new sets hurts it too.

I really like the Mattel stuff.
love their Legends line and some aspects of the modern stuff.need to see some more Tag teams for them in the legends line though.
their should be 6 figures in each wave-a tag team and 4 singles guys.

The Best Wrestling figs Ever Made, I used to think jakks csda was pretty good, r.a's always looked like crap to me, but i cant look at jakks figures anymore. Mattel just hands down beats the previous figs before them.
I love the new scans and elite bodies, The scale is a dream come true, the accessories rock!
only complaint i have is lack of info lately, seems like we've been in the dark on some issues latly that should have been addressed. but regardless id rather a dozen mattels than 100 jakks figures

Mattel has the best wrestling figures so far - I've collected since the Hasbro days and I have never seen them better than Mattel.

I just wanted to hear how people have taken to Mattel and whether they are happy with the products or not I have to be honest. I'm 21 now.. I started collecting at 6. Over the past few years Jakks MURDERED the kid in me that had me collecting since square 1. They had there moments when I was growing up that made something inside of me just LOVE collecting.. Figures like Ripped and Ruthless Kane. Double Slam 4 Hardy Boyz... Unchained Fury RVD and Helms. There's a billion figures to list.. Especially in later days when RA came around.. Yokozuna. Undertakers. Etc.. But eventually I got so bored with their CRAPPY repaints. Bulky bodies.. Etc. Jakks went into a sh*t hole. Majorly. However.. Recently I started collecting MATTEL figures. The kid in me is alive and kicking STRONG! With figures like the Comic Con Undertaker. Entrance Greats Taker. Defining Moments Rock, warrior.. Etc. Even Elites and that super sweet exclusive masked Kane.. How can you NOT continue collecting when you have these types of masterpieces being produced. Off the Charts detail. Ring gear. Articulation.. Mattel has seriously trumped Jakks to a point where, hate saying this, but Jakks should hang it up. It's really DISGUSTING to see reused parts of WWE figures. I mean really disgusting. Just a new head scan on an old WWE body... I loved Jakks in my heyday but I'm stoked with the way Mattel breathed new life into a great hobby!

Positives: Great detail, awesome that they are in scale, and the clothing accessories are really top notch.
Negatives:
-Price. These things are just too damn expensive and it seems like they are going up in price every few months. Forget about buying on the internet because you'll end up paying at least double the already too high store price.
-Quality control. Lot's of error figures, paint smudges, black marks on the figures...you really have to hunt to find one that's in acceptable condition. I found Basic 10 Wade Barrett today at TRU and had to compare 3 of them and they all had some black marks on the arms and some paint missing from the hair...you just gotta pick the best one.
-Playability. Jakks DA figures seemed a little more sturdy and were easier and more fun to play with. Mattel elite figures seem really rigid, the legs have NO backward movement, and if I play with them I always feel like they are going to break.
All in all, Mattel easily makes the best and most detailed wrestling figures out there. However, I feel for the HIGH PRICE of these figures that there are a lot of areas for improvement.
I just don't understand how they can make Elites for over a year and not fixed the fact that the legs can not move backward!

The products Fantastic but I have been losing faith in Mattel and there commitment recently.
Especially with the Legends line and lack of information/communication with the fans.

Any company that takes the time to make two headscans for Primo is A++ in my book.

Collecting Mattels Legends Line reminds me so much of when i was young and i would go to the mall and find Hasbro figures of Jake the Snake and Macho man on the shelves.
