Watched Coppola's Dracula film. I'm not sure why this film is so well regarded. The set designs are impressive and the cinematography is brilliant. Gary Oldman and Anthony Hopkins are great. But everything else is a disaster. Keanu Reeves and Winona Ryder are terrible. They're more like glaring distractions. The plot is bloated. The tone of the film is in a perpetual state of flux. It's such a wreck. Oldman despised the divatastic Ryder to the point where he insisted a stunt double be employed for the kissing scenes. They hated one another from day 1.....its a miracle the movie seen the light of day with the descendants of Vlad taking Universal to court etc etc. People always miss Monica Bellucci in this one too..... my last was Age Of Ultron on Blu. Even better on repeat viewings!! Interesting! I had no idea. I'm glad Oldman and I share similar sentiments.

The Incredible Hulk
It wasn't near as bad as I remember it being.
That being said I wish Mark Ruffalo would do a stand alone film.

The Incredible Hulk It wasn't near as bad as I remember it being. That being said I wish Mark Ruffalo would do a stand alone film. Its too complicated with the rights being at Universal and all man.....pity though. I have always enjoyed TIH since the first time I seen it in Cinemas.....I feel its chronically underrated and I always think the Hulk looks better in this movie than he does in the Avengers movies. Delighted that Ross is returning for Cap III: Civil War

Child Of God.
Expected a bit much with this and while very good in places, was not as riveting as I was led to believe...

Indiana Jones: Raiders of the Lost Ark
It blows my mind that this movie wasn't rated R.

No Country for Old Men. One of my favorite movies, been awhile since I've seen it. Fantastic storytelling.

Just finished Braveheart. A true epic......McGoohan really was total bastard as Ol Eddie the butcher. Never tire of this one.....a truly deserving Oscar winning best picture movie....something that's getting increasingly rare with the dreck that's winning lately. Apollo 13 should have won Best Picture that year, in my opinion.

I really enjoy Apollo 13 too and certainly think it would have deserved an Oscar too......had it not been up against Braveheart. Since I last posted here I have watched Superman Returns HG: Mockingjay part 1 RIPD Colors The Package

Back to the Future
This has always been one of those movies I turn to when I'm stressed or feeling down. It has, in a way, always been by my side. We, the movie and I, are the same age.

I've been watching Red vs Blue on Netflix. I know that isn't a movie but each season is shown as a movie. I don't know if that counts. But I will be watching either the original Dawn of the Dead or Lost in Translation later tonight.

So since this set of days off happened to land just before my birthday (on Thursday) I decided today I really wanted to have a marathon of my favourite movie series, Rocky! Started it at about 6 am and just finished.
