Just had an email from Mattycollector.com regarding 2012 subsciptions being on sale now - I know that the fact Legends are being sold on there is hot news however the details state - 2012 Subscriptions On Sale Now! Sale Starts: 7/22/11 2 p.m. PT Sale Ends: 8/5/11 2 p.m. PT For 2012, subscriptions are available for DC Universe, Ghostbusters™, Masters of the Universe® Classics and Voltron®! Please read the details for each subscription, then return to this page to make your selection. DC Universe: Club Infinite Earths Ghostbusters™: Club Ecto-1 Masters of the Universe® Classics: Club Eternia® Voltron®: Club Lion Force If you've read all the details and you're ready to make your selections, choose the quantity you want for each and click the "Add to Cart" button. Remember, you can buy as many subscriptions as you like in any combination and they'll all ship together when purchased in the same transaction! So no WWE subscription..... yet. I won't lie - when I read the heading 'Subscriptions Available Now' my heart was in my mouth - my credit card was at the ready! ;D I'm guessing once the dust settles they may give the option to join subscription for WWE. Bearing in mind they have subsciptions for these key lines i'm sure it won't be long before they do have a WWE one. I will be purchasing for ease of getting figures - will anyone else?

I'm just unsure as to how much it costs. Sounds like you pay $30-50 for the subscription, and then get charged for every figure that comes out. Kind of risky if you're a "cherry picker" collector.

If it's subscriptions then that's it for Legends for me. Too bad too, but I want to buy what I want, not just buy everything in a set.

Get ready for a nightmare with out a subscription option. Digital River who runs Mattel's distribution is crap. I have spent 45 minutes to an hour and a half trying to order. Sometimes the item will sell out in minutes. I can't imagine adding the WWE Legends line to it now. They better sell subscriptions. The subscription fee is normally 20 bucks but you then get a free exclusive figure.

I don't think there's going to be a huge following for the WWE Legends like there is for He-Man and DC.

I don't think there is a sub option for WWE in 2012. 2013 maybe...

I would join for sure and just eBay the ones I don't want...my buddy does this with motu and it works out well he never has to hunt figures and he makes money on the ones he doesn't want

I don't think there's going to be a huge following for the WWE Legends like there is for He-Man and DC. I have to agree. Plus I'm guessing the amount of figures they make won't compare to the DC and other lines. Plus we don't know how many of each figure they plan on making. I can see them limiting them to some extent. But they might keep them stocked year round for all we know. So I'm not going to worry about it too much until we hear more on how it's going to work.

oh and once mattel sees how much interest there is in the wwe legends line then they can determine if they should do subscriptions or not. with how long it took them to sell last years comic com undertaker i would think subs are not going to happen..

Yeah...but weren't they selling the Undertaker figs for like $35 each? Or was that just what everyone was charging for them after they sold out? I don't remember anymore.

Wish I had the money to subscribe to them all...
Though you don't even get any discounts. The subscription is the price of ever figures plus a registration fee, which takes care of the subscription exclusive figure. But whatever, I'd want them all anyway if I could get them. Especially since the DC subscription figure might be Metron.

So I can't buy any legends unless I subscribe? What a TERRIBLE idea this was.

no you can buy them without the subscription. You just have to make sure you get one once they go on sale or else they tend to sell out quickly. The subscription just gurantees you the figure. You don't have to go to the site when its available, you'll just be automatically charged and sent each figure. Also they won't have a subscription for Legends just yet. Motu and Ghostbusters both didn't get a subscription option until almost a year later. They have to see how well the figures sell. So if they do, most likely the subscription will be available at next years SDCC.

Yeah...but weren't they selling the Undertaker figs for like $35 each? Or was that just what everyone was charging for them after they sold out? I don't remember anymore. It was $25 for Taker + Shipping and mine came out to $36 and some change. And he was sold out within 2 days I think. I'm sure there will be a subscription, but I'm not willing to spend $20 + (more likely $30) on a membership and then another $35 for each figure to risk getting Doink, DDP & Vega. Because all three are figures I would never buy if given the choice. So unless they announce who won the poll before they offer the subscription I'll be passing on any subscription. Unless 4 of the 5 aren't those three. I can live with getting stuck having to buy one of them, but not all three of them. And hopefully it would be DDP, because even though I thought he had very limited ring skills I did think he was good on the mic....while the other two had nothing I found entertaining.

Two days is equivalent to two months in Mattel time.
