We will try to do everyone on the current roster. There is really only a handful left we haven't done. Not Bad for a year and a half into the line. Have we been a bit contradictory? yes!! But we are trying to give you guys honest answers to these questions. The strategies do evolve though and it is getting harder to justify weaker offerings now than it was in the first year. so, things change as the line progresses. On the other hand, we have a terrific tool bank built up now and it is much easier to justify a figure when all we have to make is a head or partial tooling. So, be patient, there are a lot of figures in the works and some of the guys you are referencing are on the list. Bill

the super lower mid carders that only really dedicated fans would want should be short run mattycollector exclusives.

The funny thing is at every wal mart and TRU I have been to since January has atleast 5 Elite CM Punk's on the shelves, and he is on TV all the time as a main eventer. I never have seen Primo, Maters, and I only saw Yoshi once when they first got basic 7. The only low carder that I have seen that has been on shelves for awhile is William Regal, but it was only 1 figure, not like the 10 Punks(Elite AND basic) at my wal mart.

For some reason Mysterio Orton Cena and Taker basic figs are clogging the shelves at my local wally world... I thought they were the biggest sellers lol... hardly any elites tho except the same 3 takers for the last month lol
And didn't tarver and sheffield get figs and I don't see them on tv and haven't in a very long time so again that TV time explanation is a lil flawed

My response would go something like this: Battle of the Bands: 75% of the guys on this board must think we're really old.

In all fairness to Mattel, they lost a lot of my respect when they told us that their goal was a complete roster... and instead we got the Gobbledy Gooker, a totally botched Legends line, Flex Force and Rumblers.
So, in other words, they thought it was a good idea to give us perhaps the lamest, most underwhelming character (that would be high cost/low interest) ever over guys that would actually sell (low cost/low risk.) Don't even get me started on the Legends line. How that was botched so badly makes me wonder if Mattel has accountability at the higher levels of their management.
Although, they've given us the best wrestling figures ever made so I will still buy and support their product. Talk about a catch 22. It's like fast food. They're bad to us, but the food tastes so good that we keep coming back for more.

Bill Yet prices continue to go up...I kid, I kid... Still the best deal at 6 to 8 inches on the shelf!! And, as I have said many times on here, basic figs are being sold to the retailers at the same price today as in Jan. 2010. You figure out who is raising prices.

I was just sayin how the Mattel TV exposure thing is a lil flawed and scewed IMO

No it's not because the retailer want heavy case mixes of Rey, Cena, Orton, Taker over these guys who have no exposure. because they are the wrestlers that the parents/casual fan know and have a better chance of buying. And around here other than the Rey set at TRU none of those guys are on the pegs. Yet today I saw 3 Eve, 4 Sheffield, 8 Sheamus & a few Bryan's today between the Monroe & Nyack NY Targets. Retailers know more people will want the main guys than the obscure wrestlers.

And yea, right after I posted that link I thought to myself, "wow, there are gonna be kids on this board who don't even know who the rolling stones are."

The Gooker was just for show and to guage interest, it is not ined up and there are currently no plans for a gooker fig. I agree, they were extremely short sighted in their production of the nexus figs. It might have been a big storyline but I knew none of them would stay in a main event position and I knew some of them would get released. Why they have no problem producing figures of absolute nobodies and not divas I will never know.

[/quote ]You havent gotten the gooker yet, the legends line is not botched just over shipped , and Flex force and Rumblers are hot, selling extremely well and are targeted to by far our largest market,KIDS!! As far as accountability goes the WWE line has been a huge success overall. So, the only accountability issues we currently face is justifying collector only focused product that sells to under 5% of our total market. Having said all of that, believe me, we think the collector market is important and we fight every day to continue to support it in the biggest way possible, but our business is toys. I hope y'all can keep these things in perspective as you discuss these issues. We are on your side.

I would love a Tyler Reks, Brodus Clay, Curt Hawkins, Husky Harris, Jinder Mahal, Mason Ryan, Michael McGillicutty, Trent Barreta, and even a Johnny Curtis. Any new faces are a welcomed sight in my eyes and hopefully we get all of these eventually.
