I don't know if they still do this on TNA or Impact Wrestling or the Hulk Hogan and Friends Show. However, I remember when I was watching it and Rob Van Dam was the champion there was a post-TNA show that sort detailed the after events of TNA Impact. I think it may have been called Impact Reaction. It was a really cool, almost paparazzi like look into what happened after Impact. Regardless, I liked it, and I thought it was one of the positives of Bischoff and Hogan moving to TNA. It reminded me a bit of Confidential.
The WWE has taken this, and adjusted it so that it isn't taking up another timeslot, but rather making use of the growing social media. On YouTube (and WWE.com) they've been posting videos of what's going on not only after RAW, but before it and during. For example,
Jim Ross leaving the show. Obviously, they've been doing WWE.com exclusive segments for years, but now they're doing it a whole lot more and some of them from a sort of similar paparazzi angle. "J.R. can we have an interview?!" "J.R. how does it feel to be fired by the man you hired?"
I just think it's great, and I don't know that WWE necessarily saw TNA Reaction and thought, "Let's do our version of that!" but what from Paul Heyman has said about McMahon is that he sees things he likes, and tells his staff to immediately do their version of it. So perhaps he could have. I dunno. Thoughts? Do you like what they're doing with this?

TNA still uses this format on iMPACT, which is the logical thing to do. It makes it feel more "real" thus if WWE adds this aspect to RAW/SD (instead of online), good. I don't think it matters who did it first. If it works, why not use it?

WWE has turned into a "reality" era. With constant social media updates, garbage like this and them redoing their site to confuse you if you're on WWE.com or TMZ.com.

Would you rather it go back to like the 80's where Superstars had ridculous, over the top gimmicks? Or even the 90's in everyone's precious attitude era where things happened like Triple H getting dropped off of a forklift in a car and surviving it? Yeah, I'll take reality.

Like I've said, TNA did not invent this...WWE did this style every once and a while long before TNA...and it is done a million time better. Watching TNA's backstage stuff is painful!

Tevelision today is nowhere near the way it was in the 80's and 90's. You have to move with the times, and not only is television itself evolved, but there are also so many more shows that WWE has to compete with now then they did in the 80's and 90's. WWE has tons of competition on television, just not from another wrestling company.

WWE does it in a cool way, cheaper cameras bad lighting, make more realistic. Unlike TNA which is so fake looking, yet still is considered reality type.

I don't think they had TNA in mind one tiny little bit when they started doing these.
