I posted a private message and a forum message and this is WWE Mattels response:
"Please feel free to post this on any other collector boards...
Long story short, this was a mistake. We're a big company and weird things like this can happen from time to time.
Here's what happened: A very small quantity of Rockers 2-packs were accidentally allocated to MattelShop.com even though the Rockers 2-pack is a MattyCollector exclusive. As part of that error, the item was set up on MattelShop at a $20 price instead of the correct $30 price. As soon as we were made aware of the situation we took steps to take the item off of MattelShop, but by that time the small stock they had was already sold out.
So what does this mean? Essentially it was a nice little Friday surprise for the few people who managed to order their 2-packs early and at the $20 price. An accidental Easter Egg, if you will. Going forward all of our teams have promised to remain more vigilant to make sure this does NOT happen again (translation: don't expect to find Andre on MattelShop!).
For everyone who bought today at MattelShop, our mistake is your gain. For everyone else, we'll see you here at MattyCollector.com on Monday morning at 9am PST!
-WWE Guys"

That being said I am not sure if all of us on back order are still going to get them or not. Still awaiting a answer on that one.

Actually someone asked and heres the response to that:
We (WWE Guys) can't comment for absolute sure on the logistics of ordering from MattelShop and whether specific orders will be fulfilled.
But considering that the initial quantity available on the site was a mistake, if you ordered after they sold out of that small quantity then it's hard to imagine that your order will be fulfilled.

i am very upset about this.. i understand it was a mistake, but as much as i can understand it could hurt business.. the right thing to do is to let EVERYONE now pay $20.. i feel like its not fair hundreds were sold today for $20 (plus a discount code) when i have to spend $30 in 2 days...
i would think the "backorder" customers will end up being refunded, unless they send More to mattelshop which would be another mistake..
i cant use my paypal or my mastercard that is hooked up to my paypal due to sum1 on eBay causing a problem for me, so i loaded money on my Visa but by the time i got home POOP..
oh well, i snoozed, i losed..
picture waitin in Line at Macys with a pair of armani jeans, new popular denim, 10 guys in front of you holdin those same awesome clean denim jeans.. u watch all 10 people pay the $85, then once you get to the register the clerk says.. " that'll be $95 please sir . " .. you feel ripped off, right?
ok thanks 44 lettin me vent, anywhere know a discount code for MattyCollector.com
maybe titled the " i know you feel ripped off since we just sold hundreds of this item on friday for ten dollars cheaper code"

The other thing is matty charges alot more for shipping. I paid $23 with the 15% off where as im sure i would have paid about $40 on Matty. I got lucky. I happened to be up at 7am and just checked the site, I was actually looking to see if a site had Elite 11 Punk at retail price. In the end it was a mistake and not one mattycollector made, so it isn't fair to ask them to take a large financial loss because another Mattel site messed up.

It's awesome that Mattel will honor the price for their mistake.
If you snooze, you lose. Simply as that. That's the real world and reality.
Congrats to the ones there were able to place the orders, most likely everybody on the east coast.

Now when the set doesn't sell at $30, Mattel will realize that $20 is a price people are willing to pay.

I'd say more like going to Macy's at night and finding those jeans at regular price and learning 2nd hand that earlier in the day an employee had marked the jeans for the wrong price and a couple customers were able to buy them for the mistaken price before management could correct the error.

so Mattel "screws up" I order the Rockers while they were in stock & available...
then they decide to put it on backorder and my order will probably get cancelled, even though I haven't officially paid yet. nice.
well I was going to by them on Matty (even before this little situation), now....they can forget about that. Mattel just lost my business for the Rockers and future Legends.

Congrats to the ones there were able to place the orders, most likely everybody on the east coast. How in the world did we "snooze and lose" if we placed an order for an item that was said to be in stock. So it's my fault that they left something for sale on their website that had been sold out for hours? Why should anyone's order be honored then? I know you guys who lucked out won't like this comment, and frankly I don't care, but they should either honor all orders that came in before they were taken down or honor none at all. I wouldn't be upset if it had been taken down when it sold out and I just missed it. Then, the "snooze and lose" comment may apply, but that is clearly not the case in this situation.

Stupid to even get angry over a small mistake like this. It happens all the time on all kinds of websites. Human error. If you don't buy these, now, because you're being a spoiled child, then don't start crying when Mattel stop making Legend figures.

Im not even going too get the Rockers now thanks too those a$$ hole idiots down at Mattel
It was not even a big deal too me about the Rockers, but what pi$$es me off is that they charged my credit card for something they knew they didnt have in stock, then tell me 3-5 business days for me too get my money back. BRO R U SERIOUS?? I'm totally going too miss buying the Rockers now Monday cause of them and thats what gets under my skin the most. Thats a pretty dirty move on there part. Other ppl on this board who may have ordered and only had that money for the rockers, are also now going too miss out cause of there idiotic mistake

I am not mad. They were never supposed to be $20 in the first place. Y'all need to chill. I understand it sucks... that you (and I) didn't capitalize on someone's mistake... :/ I will however be irate if this affects my chances of getting them on Monday. I will riot and destroy everything in my path. *edit* #Heel, I would be pissed about the credit card thing too though. (didn't read everyone's posts in here before I responded)

To be fair, though, it's not like there's someone at MattelShop.com sitting there processing your card details and charging you for backorders. It's all automatic. So it's hardly their fault your card got charged. It's poor system design.

#Heel do you not know what credit card authorization is? they authorize your card to see if you actually have the money to pay for the item, this money is then placed in a reserve. if they don't finalize the charge within a day or so the money is then made available again to your account.
