I'm always asking myself how is one story is better then the other one in religion. So, I started thinking and I came up with a theory. Here it is:
The earth started out as Pangea. Human life spawned from one area and expanded <- this is proved. So, therefore with all of the similarities between the stories I believe they all came from one place and as people expanded away from that area the story altered little by little with new names as new languages coming about. Its like a big game of telephone.
What do you guys think?

Doesn't explain how life began, which is the real question.

We'll never know how the Universe truly began methinks. I agree. There are some questions that simply cannot be answered. No matter what current scientific theory is believed to be true, it will forever be just that; a theory.

If it can be proven that matter can be created from nothing, "god" can be disproven.

If it can be proven that matter can be created from nothing, "god" can be disproven. But isn't it believed that God created the world from nothing?

Doesn't explain how life began, which is the real question. Doesn't explain what happens after life ends which is the really, really, really big question.

If it can be proven that matter can be created from nothing, "god" can be disproven. Not necessarily. You'd also have to prove that matter WAS created from nothing. Furthermore, all you'd prove is that "god" didn't create anything. Doesn't mean he/she/it doesn't still exist.

If it can be proven that matter can be created from nothing, "god" can be disproven. But isn't it believed that God created the world from nothing? Exactly what I was thinking. That would probably only serve to strengthen most religious peoples' beliefs. And besides, how would it be possible to "disprove" a god? I mean, how do you certifiably disprove anything that's supposed to be completely immaterial?

But from my knowledge of religion God can't be proved nor disproved there for God does not play a role in society. Yes I know a bible might be considered as something which proves his existence but that book is mainly speculation, no one can truly no for sure.

God has a father. You just never hear about him because God moved out of his parents home when he was 16.

If matter can be created, there is no logical reason to believe that there is a God.
Then again, that's never stopped anyone before. People also still think Elvis is alive... Meh.

If it can be proven that matter can be created from nothing, "god" can be disproven. Actually technically that could be how "god" himself was created. BUT THEN WHAT WAS BEFORE GOD. Unfortinately no one will ever be able to prove or disprove if god exists. You couldn't prove or disprove that I was sitting on the toilet while I was typing this but you'll have to accept my word for it as the truth, and because people are liars you could never believe me. We are going round in circles my friends, laughing and singing while we dance under the moonlight.

I think God replaces question marks in what we don't understand. I think Dr Neil Tison DeGrasse termed it "God of the Gaps". Like when we figure out something with science, God isn't needed there anymore but He fits in when we don't understand something.
