^ I just don't want someone poking their nose where it don't belong in other people's business, that's all. I guess that's too much to ask for these days....

Unless you do something illegal you should have no problem saying what your general field is. You don't have to say where you work just the general field. You can say you are in the restaurant business, you don't have to say Joe's Taco Shack at 123 Fake Street.

But it's okay for you to openly criticize what multiple members here do for a living, and that's supposed to be okay because it's your opinion? Absolutely not. You've been talked out of every baseless point you've tried to even make in this entire thread, so like a true coward who has nothing left to worth while to say, you just start attacking senselessly.

^ Keep blabbing on. I don't care. I ain't gonna tell you guys jack sh*t 'cause it's none of your damn business what I do for a living.
And I can assure you it certainly isn't nothing. All my dozens and dozens of posts in the "I just bought movies" thread would prove that, if you ever cared to venture that far on the forum....

Or the Jay Sherman?

There's a reason he's not responding, it's because this thread has gotten embarrassing. Let's leave it at everyone is entitled to their own opinion. Also keep in mind, you know who hates dirt police officers the most ... officers who work hard, are honest, and want what's best for their community. People don't see an individual officer, they see the uniform and lump us into one category. Is that unfair? Yes. However is that the reality? Yes.

As for the original clip (before this thread is locked)...
First & foremost, no link was posted to the accompanying news story, so I can't be certain that she is, in fact, "brain dead." The fact that she was moving & responsive afterwards, however, suggests to me that any injuries that she may have sustained weren't that severe.
Now, without going into personal details, I have reviewed several incidents where a police officer's discretion when using force was alleged as being excessive & unnecessary. My first questions would pertain to the events that occurred prior to what we see in the clip. The clip itself is only 48 seconds in length. The suspect is tased & the pursuit ends 10 seconds into the clip. The facts about the events that occurred leading up to what we see are crucial.
What happens after the taser is deployed is of equal significance. Once the suspect is on the ground, the officer contacts his dispatch to notify them that she was tased & requests EMS to respond. This should be common practice in all police departments when a suspect is tased or sprayed with a chemical agent. Most departmental policies, however, would also require officers to secure suspects as soon as it is safe to do so. Even after two other officers arrive, there's no "snatch-n-grab" to roll her over & handcuff her. The suspect begins to move 30 seconds into the clip, & the responding officer goes so far as to issue her verbal directives to "lay down" in lieu of using any more force to affect the arrest.
I'm not making any judgment as to whether the officers were justified in applying the amount of force used or not. Again, with so little information, it is impossible to do anything but 'assume.' Speculation is guaranteed to run rampant anytime something like this is posted, whether it be on a message board or on the local news. What I am sure of is that incidents like these should be (and typically are) taken seriously by departments & city councils alike, & I trust that the proper decision will be rendered.
