Am I the only one that thinks Cains should keep it standing. I think Mir can drop him if he connects though.

Cain will win by just putting pressure on Mir. Mir falls under pressure.

and why does Big Country keep getting fights with top 10 guys? Give the guy a gimme fight.. sad to say but Silva pounds him out to a lopsided decision.

I like Cain...I just never understood why people think the guy is unbeatable...who has he beat? Brock, Kongo, and Big Nog? mmm'kay...so did Mir...and more impressively, might I add. I am not a fan of Mir either...I just think this is a horrible matchup for Cain.

Cain will win by just putting pressure on Mir. Mir falls under pressure. You thought Cain was gonna win last time and look what happened there... 64 seconds later, Cain was napping inside The Octagon and we had a new UFC Heavyweight champion of the world. From what I recall, you said Cain was going to run right through JDS and put him away and it would be over by the 2nd round....Man, what a terrible prediction. I wish I could've been there to see the look on your face when JDS dropped Cain. You must've been stunned. Anyway, we all make bad calls from time to time, some worse than others. I can't talk, that's for damn sure. We all remember when Forrest was going to KO Anderson, right?? LOL...Wow...I was smokin' somethin' that night...Hilarious. ;D Back on topic though, Mir/Cain will be a VERY interesting fight and no fight is a sure thing, no matter what we may think. We could think it can strictly ONLY go one way, but the tables can turn in the blink of an eye and it can go the exact opposite. We just never know. If Mir connects, I think he can drop Cain. He's certainly got the power to and so does Cain himself. He's a vicious striker too. It's a close fight. If it does go to the ground, I'm sorry, but I've gotta give the clear advantage to Mir there. If he gets a hold of something, he's not letting go and he'll snap it if need be. We've seen that on a few occassions now. I think Cain's best chance is to keep it standing if he can and slug it out with Mir. I'm leaning towards Mir, but I could be way off. We'll just have to wait and see how it goes down.

I knew Cain would lose if he didn't use the right gameplan. No one has ever even tried to put pressure on JDS. Cain was very silly to stand with him.

What the is with Old School's compulsive obsession with bringing up "bad calls" others made in pretty much every MMA thread he posts in?

probably because many people including myself call him out on his past 'bad calls'....
but he does seem like he would be extremely annoying to watch a fight with...he is the type that if he calls a fight right he would be the loudest guy at the bar saying "MAN I KNEW THAT WOULD HAPPEN. DIDN'T I CALL THAT? MAN, ANYONE WHO SAID THE OTHER GUY WOULD WIN IS AN IDIOT. JEEZ HOW COULD ANYONE BE SO STUPID."

Yeah, Mr. Old School constantly annoys me with his my-opinion-is-fact-yours-is-wrong attitude in relation to MMA...
Card is absolutely amazing now. I predict Mir, Dos Santos and Silva winning.

I heard they were trying to get Johnson/McCall 2 to be on this card, but I think the card is stacked enough.

It's been announced that it will be an all heavyweight main card, with the addition of Mark Hunt vs. Stefan Struve.

My advice to everyone on this board is just act like Old School's posts don't exist.
Great card. I'm inclined to give Mir the advantage in that fight just based on his improving performance as of late.
I want to take Dos Santos, but I fear he won't be able to stop Overeem from clinching up with him when Dos Santos comes in close.

He needs to be careful. Maybe let lure Cain in by letting Cain taking it to the ground. Then tear his arm off.

Funny thing, when guys well over 200lb throw bombs and they hit, people have the tendency to get rocked. Any guy in the HW division can get KTFO any time unless your Roy Nelson, it's as simple as that. As we saw Cain Velasquez got dropped JDS with one punch. Either way I see this fight going to a finish, someones getting KTFO or tapped.

Is this the UFC #146: Dos Santos/Overeem thread or the trash Mr. Old School thread, 'cause I really don't know at this point...
I am flattered that you guys have nothing better to do than talk about me all the time, but let's keep it on topic, PLEASE...
If you guys feel the need to trash me, go ahead and PM me or somethin'. Just keep it out of this thread because it's really not needed.
Back on topic, I love the addition of Hunt/Struve. That one is gonna be a doozy. I'll lean toward Hunt, but you never know. It could go either way. I think that one is gonna be a scrap for sure.

If this card stays in tact (no injuries, etc.) that all HW main card gimmick will make it one of the most purchased UFC events in history.

Just to clarify the rules guys, you can't criticize Old School or his opinion in this thread but he can criticize yours. Glad we got that out of the way. Surely I can't be the only one excited for Ludwig vs Hardy? Hardy's back is against the wall on this one, and Ludwig......well, he will probably knock Hardy the out.
