Scurll/Sabre could be amazing or it could be a dud like their BOLA match a few years ago. There is no in between. Zach hasn't really worked for me as PWG Champion. If others feel that way, giving it to Marty is the way to go. I feel like PWG is better when the guy on top is a bad guy who can't be beat. Definitely. Adam Cole's run with the belt was the last time I was truly invested in PWG. Roddy was close but it was just too much of a revolving door booking wise.

That's one of the biggest reasons I've eased off of PWG. That and they're only booking SIX ING SHOWS THIS YEAR. Their refusal to go to a slightly larger venue and run more frequently have all but killed my desire for them. AAW is my local promotion (five hours away) and they run far more often and use similar talent. I'm much more likely to be giving them my money going forward. The independents are just as stacked as ever and so many guys are probably willing to take a pay cut just to BE on a PWG show.

The vibe, aura and atmosphere of PWG is as important as the talent half the time; there's something about that little Legion Post much like the ECW Arena had a certain vibe to it...one of its greatest strengths yet also one of its biggest drawbacks...no growth. It's clear they just want to keep doing what they're doing based on the association made with 'PWG'. Which I totally get and they have every right to run their promotion the way they want to. I just get frustrated with it. I'd love to see them move their shows elsewhere and run the legion hall on the anniversary show.

I would PWG has grown over the years even within the confines of the legion hall, well the ticket prices have skyrocketed anyways...

They just don't because they're so damn stubborn. In case anyone missed it, the event on 12/18 will be Mystery Vortex IV.

I don't know if they announced Cole vs Candice or Strong vs Bailey, but Steen vs Cole and Sabre vs Scurll were announced ahead.
This is an awesome chance to bring in new talent, I'm eager to see if they do.

As far as I remember the Cole/Candice match was expected but not announced. I definitely remember the fans chanting for her before she even came out. Man I miss that stuff. PWG doesn't build to anything anymore. It hurts their product.

Everyone they use aren't local and have to be flown in AND having a show every 2-3 months kills any momentum that's built. I think the only way they can shake things up is to make Marty Scurll their champion and have Sabre start from scratch. My interest will probably be depleted if The Villain doesn't walk out as champ.

Yeah I want Marty to win the strap as well. EVOVLE is running a similar story though of Sabre having to re-prove himself.

Realistically, Sabre should be a bigger heel than Scurll. Even though he's a sweet guy in person, his ring character is a dick head. Speaking of heel, I've only watched Night One of BoLA, but it seems like Hero's being turned heel. He hasn't been boo'd like that since he returned to PWG...if PWG/Hero is smart he needs to go full blown bad guy.

He's damn good in general the past two years.

Watched BOLA 1 and 2. Pentagon and Fenix vs Heroes Eventually Die and the Six man tag was insane. Just wow.

Nice! Are there any local indy promotions there? Cheers. To my knowledge there are, but the indy wrestling scene is very small...can't think of any promotions off the top of my head, but I'll check out what I can when possible. I found one off the interwebs melbournecitywrestling.com.au/
