Well, apparently, the idea for the longest time was to say No to Alex Silva and Joey Ryan. But Ric Flair went off script and said Yes to Silva, reversing the whole damn thing. Which in my mind, is stupid.... So that's why TNA hasn't used him.
Least if you believe F4W like me.

I listened to most of the interview but when he started ranting about how ECW was a territory and the ECW title was a regional title and he was a bigger star then Taz and that if he was around in the 80s/90s he would be Main Eventing MSG with Hogan......I had to shut it off. That guy is a buffoon if he thinks he would Main Event MSG or any big arena with Hogan. He couldnt carry Hogans jockstrap. FFS, he couldnt carry Taz's jock strap. He looks more like a guy I would take to get my brakes changed then a pro wrestler.

Soooo... it was a work? Joey Ryan is going to sleaze his way into TNA. I got so pumped to see him during the Gut Check segment at ringside.

seeing Joey tonight was great.
I really can't wait to see where they go with this. I'm not sure about Taz being the object of his aggression though, since Taz can't wrestle anymore.
Either way, I'm excited to see him on TV.

I'm hoping that Devon, who will still be the TV Champion at the time, gets involved. Obviously, Taz and Devon have the history and it would make sense for him to step up and be sort of the "who the hell do you think you are baby-face."

I wonder if the Joey Ryan thing started out as a shoot but then they realized the fans wanted him in Impact Wrestling so they worked it out to make it a work now.
Who knows anymore when it comes to wrestling.

I wonder if the Joey Ryan thing started out as a shoot but then they realized the fans wanted him in Impact Wrestling so they worked it out to make it a work now. Who knows anymore when it comes to wrestling. I don't know, it sounds like they wanted him to be the first guy to sign a contract via Gut Check if Flair wouldn't have ed it all up. So I think this story was what they came up with in order to still get him on the roster but not make it look like they did it through Gut Check. He is making a way bigger impact doing it this way than he would have just being selected. I will say, the backlash on Twitter must have been decent if Hogan said he was working on it. So I suppose it may have been a situation where they said we want to bring you on, we can't now, sorry. Ryan shoots, the fans lash out, and now TNA is fixing the problem. Whatever happened, I like what they are doing with it.

I'm still holding out that it was all a work and Ryan's going to be a loose cannon showing up whenever he wants. Called it!

I just got around to watching Impact earlier and had no prior knowledge that he crashed the Gut Check segment. Joey Ryan on my TV is just glorious.
