Not sure if this has been brought up, or why it hasn't been if not, but I absolutely lost my mind when I saw Joey Ryan be the new guy for Gut Check. To top it off, he worked with Aries, who he has been in the ring and friends with for years. Any thoughts on Ryan?
Like this was the type of guy I desperately wanted TNA to bring in personally. Joey Ryan can work the mic, he has an awesome character, and he can work. He has easily been one of my favorite Indy guys for the last several years so I am really hoping that he is going to stick around and work for TNA. From WSX, to ROH, to PWG, I just think the guy has been entertaining as hell for years and I hope he is here to stay.

Better get tweeting then my brother! I hope TNA Sign him. As well as the Rockness Monsters to rebuild the tag division.
I hate Joey Ryan. But that's because he is a effective heel. Aries/Joey's match wasn't as good as their PWG BOLA2010 opening round match, but was still pretty damn entertaining. Can anybody stop Aries's roll that he is currently on? Undefeated this year on PPV? I Think so!
I'm not entirely sure who exactly Joey Ryan would work against in TNA, or what division. Perhaps the TV Title will sit nicely around his waist.

He looked awful out there. Something just seemed off and it showed. Maybe he was nervous, or something... but the guy has much more potential than what was shown in Impact.

I don't think he actually has anything to offer any promotion. To me he just comes off as being annoying.

I don't know much about him however he seemed to be a good wrestler and I wouldn't mind him in TNA going after the TV or X-Division belt.

I thought he did a decent job in his match against Aries. He definitely has a unique look and personality which is always a good thing. I wasn't impressed with Silva but once I saw some of his other matches I warmed up to him and I believe if Silva got hired, then Ryan has a good chance of being brought in as well.

Yeah, I'm pulling for having him mix it up around the TV Title. The Sleazy Heel FTW. I think he automatically becomes the most interesting midcard heel TNA has out of pure default. I'd like Silva to work a program with Ion and have them shake up the X-Division a bit and have some fun matches.

I feel like Joey Ryan is COMPLETELY wasted in this current gimmick. The sleazy sucks. I love his down to earth - reading promos off his Iphone app - awesomeness.

I am a major Joey Ryan fan and have been for years. The dude needs to win the TV title and go on a 4 month reign defending against more credible opponents then Robbie E and Devon.

If Ryan not getting a contract the question must be posed.....Who Did Silva Blow To Get A Contract?

I think the only reason they said no is because they said yes to Silva last month.

If Ryan not getting a contract the question must be posed.....Who Did Silva Blow To Get A Contract? Well... "According to Wrestlezone, Ric Flair went off script during the Gutcheck Challenge a few weeks ago. It is said that Ric Flair went off script when he said yes to Alex Silva earning a contract. The story notes that Alex Silva wasn't scripted to earn a contract and because he did, it is causing a bunch of problems with TNA. Alex Silva apparently doesn't have a US Visa as he is from Quebec so now for him to work for TNA, the company has to work the travel issue out." Take that for what you will..

If i remember correctly, that show wasn't live. If it were my choice, I'd have cut the in ring promo & re-shot it in the back with them saying no.

I think the only reason they said no is because they said yes to Silva last month. Pretty much thinking this, or at least hoping this tbh. Not sure if I believe that Flair story. Didn't Silva already have 2 "yes" votes from Pritchard and Snow anyway after he re-cut the promo? I thought you only needed majority, so the first two would have been enough without Flair saying yes. I don't remember though. Regardless, Joey Ryan is lightyears more ready than Silva and I thought his confrontation with Taz was fantastic, not to mention he made Al Snow laugh his ass off as soon as he got in the ring. I'm hoping this leads to Ryan doing a run-in or forcing a match against someone for a job.
