Haha! I've went "back in time" to see these old threads. You see many opinions change.

im pretty much done with WWE figures after jakks ends their production i highly doubt mattel is going to produce such quantity & quality that jakks has for the last 15 years if jakks keeps the same "Style" for TNA figures ill probably pick up a few here and there of the guys i like in TNA like daniels, styles & lethal but after jakks is done with WWE im going to spend the rest of my time "catching up" and getting figures i want that i missed This right here... holy balls im an idiot

This makes me so mad,but when there is no more Jakks WWE Figures,im done collecting, after all of these years,just....wow,this sucks.Because we all know Mattel is gonna make the figures so stupid, and I will have to start collecting all over again if I bought them.So I will not buy Mattel's stupid figs, and I might buy one TNA Jakks fig,....Christian Cage. mattel makes stupid figures alright

This is the kind of thread bump that I'm actually glad to see. I can't blame people for worrying that the new company was gonna suck, and I can't blame anyone for being bummed that the collection they started has turned into a dead end. When toy lines die, they inevitably become in the mind of the collector a series of missed opportunities.
However, I'm glad Chip decided to stay, and I'm glad Mattel has won so many over. Of course there are still Jakks loyalists but not in these numbers.

I wonder how many people voted after the bump. Interestingly, not enough people to actually let Mattel beat the ''I'm done with WWE after Jakks'' category.

This is pretty funny actually... Worthy of being bumped haha. Agreed. At first, I thought "Okay, what bunghole bumped a thread from 2008," but then I started actually reading some of what was said. It's like a time capsul from a time of bomb shelters and communism paranoia, only it's about toys. Still, I understand why everyone was upset/worried.

Long time ago I worked in a store that sold the CS line & always thought they where cool but I didn't collect at the time & was just starting to watch wrestling again. I got the want to collect just as the Mattel line was about to come out. I picked myself up a MITB elite scale ring at retail along with 6 RA styled figures of Jakks. I also planned to buy the Jakks TNA line. When I saw the quality between the 2 lines I knew it was Mattel all the way. Definitely feel for the guys that had a huge Jakks collection to be told everything is changing.

I still have close to a hundred of my favorite Jakks Ruthless figures, and some TTLs. I did get the Jakks UFC line when it came out and still get the TNA line. By no means am I bashing them, but it is very interesting that our standards have changed so much that if Mattel pulled the shizz that Jakks did, people would riot.

I wasnt collecting during the Jakks Classic Superstar time. I hadnt actually collected figures since the BCA days when I started buying Mattel's. I wanted to start buying Jakk's CS ones but the thought of catching up overwhelmed me. I hope one day to maybe buy peoples collections of Classic Superstars, Deluxe Classic and LJN figures as well but that will probably be after I'm done collecting Mattel's which will probably be when the contract ends which aint anytime soon!

The Classic Superstars line is still cool. What I'm doing is everytime somebody gets a new figure I throw the old one in a bin for my cousins to play with or to sell on ebay. I still have quite a few Jakks because Mattel hasn't made them yet. People like Hardcore Holly, Simon Dean, Kenny Dykstra, etc are still on my shelves. If they get the Mattel treatment their Jakks figure will go into the bin.

What a cringe worthy post I had lol. Mattel makes pretty good figs for the most part, but Mattel taking over was pretty much the end of me collecting figs so I guess I stood by that. I've only bought a handful of Mattel figs over the years. I think a part of it was me also losing interest in collecting figs period though.

I don't mind having a huge classic superstars jakks collection at all..I only collect legend/flashback wrestlers from Mattel & I'm not replacing (except for the occasional disaster that Jakks had, like big bossman)... I think they work ok in one big collection, plus, the switch got us surfer sting & almost got us Scott Steiner (so close)..then we got ones Jakks wasn't allowed to do (Tornado, Steamboat, Savage)

Love this bump! Jakks has such great nostalgia, but Mattel has proven themselves 100x over. Love looking at my collection and having Rey be shorter than everyone else.
