MLK created great change in this country and was as big a Christian you'd ever meet. Malcolm X did also, while remaining true to a controversially "oppressive" religion. You seem to use your hatred of religion itself to hate all people who practice any of it. How is that any better than those who use it to hate and oppress others?

The Knights Templar (Crusades), Westboro Baptist Church, the KKK, al-Queda... Yes, all 16 members of the WBC represent every single member of Christianity. Same with the Templar (20,000 members at peak) and Al-Qaeda (which we don't really know how many there are). The KKK currently has around 4,000 members. Though they did boast much more 90 years ago. You honestly think those groups represent all of the religion they claim to be apart of? Religion does not teach hatred of your fellow man, the people who follow the different religions misinterpret and disobey religious teachings to further their own hate. I guess we can say atheism is bad because of Stalin and Mao and Pol Pot. They all committed mass murder (or had policies that lead to mass death).

Religion is a way of life for lots of people. It effects them beyond the church doors and temple gates. Being told to "keep it to yourself" is insulting.

The Templar were sanctioned by the Pope but that doesn't make it right by the religion plus they were last active 700 years ago. Every human is fallible and everyone is sometimes wrong. People make stupid decisions. I guess going by your logic white people are the worst because of slavery, the Holocaust, raping and pillaging and stealing Native American land, the KKK, WBC, etc. Those things were in the past (just like the Crusades) and we shouldn't ignore what happened but we should learn from it and make sure to never repeat those mistakes. I do like though how you ignored how the three atheists I mentioned killed millions of people.

Gotcha. You should read Phil 4:12 "I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want." Being able to "do all this through him who gives me strength" means to know what is is to be in need and know what it is to have plenty to be content in any and every situation whether well fed or hungry or being rich or poor. He says through God that he can know all those things and be content in those situations. Nice of you to cherry pick what you want from the bible but it doesn't always work.
