why on Earth would you come in to this thread then?let alone post in it? to see what it was, thought maybe someone was talking about it....turned out to be a bunch of fanboys in the thread. So instead of asking about the show, you just come in here and act like a jackass instead. How hard was it to go, "Hey, I don't watch this show but could someone tell me why so many people enjoy it? What's it all about?" We actively talk about each episode as they happen, and we are 3 seasons deep. So unless you ask, nobody is going to be talking about "what it's all about" for new viewers because everyone here already watches it. And now back to the show... This Jon Snow thing is pissing me off. He better be marching them all into a trap because Ygritte is annoying and the wildlings are a pack of scavenger animals. Everything Snow said about their discipline was spot on and they have no loyalty within their ranks. The only character in that entire angle I'm sympathetic to is Snow, and that's because he should be the hand to a king, assuming one of his brothers ever gets to the throne. Unless, the wildlings are going to stand with the Nights Watch against the white walkers then I'm good with all of the wildlings dying and Jon Snow finding a new path. Arya and the Hound is where I expected those two to land personally, that being together. We will see how that progresses but the Hound seems like a man on his own, even if he is threatening Arya for the time being. So I don't see him taking her back to Kings Landing or anything along those lines. I think the Hound may end up serving as her next mentor as she learns to become a more skilled warrior. Maybe I'm way off but the Hound is a sympathetic character because of his past. So I can easily see them bonding. I have no idea what is going on with Theon. I hope he didn't really become a unick last night. Hopefully we see someone pull back the curtain soon. Robb Stark now has a heir to the throne. Talisa being pregnant makes me nervous though. It feels like one of those foretelling things where it's good news that foreshadows bad. After Ned, everything makes me put my guard up. I think we have seen over the course of this season that Jaime has a sense of right and wrong away from his family. Had he not pushed Bran out of a window, I think he would even be considered a hero. I think he's now more protagonist than antagonist at this point. I think they just need to have a blacksmith make a sword that attaches to his stub, like in Willow, so he can feel like a warrior again. He's obviously growing closer to Brienne, which is whatever to me. I like their banter so I hope we keep getting that to some degree. And lastly, Daenerys needs to be careful. The idea of 200,000 slaves is exhilarating. If she can take that battle then she could have, or build to, the largest army in the realm, and they would be completely dedicated free men. At the same time, she risks losing many of her soldiers in the name of her ideals. She continues to grow as someone I want to see take the iron throne. She's hard but understanding, she's bitter sharp but has a morale compass. I think she needs these men to take her place as queen and I think she knows it. She could have warriors and all the ships she needs if she wins this one battle. It doesn't seem like it's going to be easy though.

Again, then why are you commenting on it?

Again, then why are you commenting on it? Just trying to get a reaction from someone or trying to seem cool by acting not interested in something that's popular.

Another amazing episode. Such high quality programming, you'd think you were watching a film the production values are that high. I too am hoping for Jon to screw over the wildlings. Jaime is winning me over too, especially after insisting that he'd help get the Stark girls back to Lady Stark. I'm desperate for Robb to be King, but at the same time I love the Daenerys character. Maybe they could marry each other and sack off Talisa?

Maybe they could marry each other and sack off Talisa? In a perfect world, they would both rule in the 7 kingdoms. Robb in the north and Daenerys on the iron throne. I don't expect that to ever happen, but of all the characters, those are the two I could most see living in the same kingdom without killing each other. Maybe Robb could be Lord Paramount exactly like Ned, which I think Robb would be content with if I were to guess as long as his family was left in peace.

Jamie Lannister is my new favorite character. Still doesn't top Tyrion for me, but it's amazing that someone who started the way he did has turned out to be one of the most decent people around. Talk about character development

Talk about character development Yep, I hope when he makes it back to King's Landing he doesn't go back to his old ways. I also like Tyrion and Bronn, they are great together. Jon Snow's alright too. I think all the stories are developing nicely and it's going to be a great last few episodes. Looking forward to it.

The entire Lanister family is running the show this season. Specifically Tywin.

Jamie Lannister is my new favorite character. i like him a lot more too after these recent arcs, but the guy is a sister er. i can't let that go. this season has been less exhilarating then the first two hugely imo, but still solid episodes with their moments. the whole john snow thing has more than tired me though, i hate his little wildling fling and hope that wraps up soon

I know I'm in the minority, but I don't really get all the Jon Snow hate. I find Robb Stark far more annoying.

I really like everyone on the show and especially like Robb Stark [happy he is going to be a dad] and Daenerys' storylines. I was really happy Jamie saved Brienne from that bear. Their likely relationship is so random but I like it. I lose track of time watching the show when this past week's episode ended I was like that's it? I didn't even notice that 50+ minutes passed already..

I was one of the "never watched it, don't like it" people at first. What got me into it was when I went to MovieStop one day, I can't remember what it was that I bought...I think it was Dredd 3D, not sure. There was a stack of DVD's that had Post-Its that said "free" on them. They were the first episode of season 2. I asked if I needed to watch season 1 before I watched it and the employees unanimously yelled "yes". So I asked my friends to see if anyone had season 1 and sure enough he had both seasons on Blu-Ray. Needless to say I was hooked after the first 2 episodes. Tyrion is arguably my favorite character. I haven't read the books although I am very tempted to.
