Anyone else enjoy country music? I feel because im young im in a minority with country music. I enjoy listening to Merle Haggard, Don Williams and Charlie Pride. I dont enjoy modern country, its too contemporary and lacks the raw authentic sound of old. Id like to hear who you listen too.

I prefer older and the outlaw scene. Hank Sr., Jr., Cash, Waylon Jennings, David Allen Coe, Willie, ect. Its funny because while i enjoy music from that era i was never really a fan of any of those you mentioned. Liked a few with Willie but Jennings and Cash never appealed.

I honestly can't stand most of it. There may be a handful of songs I hear and like, but that's it.

I like Johnny Cash. He just has this "eff you" attiude when he sings. And this is a bit biased, but anyone who appeared on the DVD set of Hee Haw that I have. Grandpa Jones, Stringbean, Roy Clark, Roni Stoneman are freaking amazing banjo players. Speaking of Roy Clark, I posted this before a while back. This needs to be heard. This man is amazing. It has been often said that if it has strings, Roy Clark can play it.

I like some of it. Mostly the older stuff. Hank Sr., Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings, Hank III, Shooter Jennings, etc.
I like a lot of country/folk offshoots too. Bluegrass, Alternative Country and such.

It has to be some of the older stuff like "Ring of Fire" by Cash. I used to love that song. Most of it I can't stand.

Garth Brooks melts faces. He's about 90% of the Country I dig.

I hate country music. It's sappy and depressing.

Brooks & Dunn, all day long. My favorite country artists of all-time. I even dig both men's solo work.
I also enjoy Garth Brooks, Billy Ray Cyrus, Toby Keith, Johnny Cash, DAC, Steve Earle, and some others.

I like a lot of older stuff, but I haven't heard a popular country song in a long time that I liked.
Oh well, that happens sometimes.
