I disagree wholeheartedly. The match quality in general has gone up so many notches it's not funny. The only thing that needs to change is how everyone is presented, because there are parts of every show where they are begging us not to give a crap when they ought to be really getting us too. And the never-ending stream of random matches, albeit fine and often great matches, people find themselves in whilst not being involved in an engaging storyline does grow tiresome. That sums up my feelings on it, kind of. I don't see it as a positive though. For me, going to three hours has led to them putting on too many decent matches with no storyline and no freshness, so everything has already happened. We're getting PPV length, PPV quality matches but no PPV quality build-up... Which makes the matches just come off pointless and random. And then we get that same match twelve more times. They're wasting all the talent by having them wrestle each other on TV too much instead of concentrating on characters and stories and building to important matches. But I think they'd be doing that if it was two hours anyway. Even when the brand split was still in effect, Smackdown was wasting talent like that since 2009. But contrary to that, they should be able to find ways of making everything compelling to watch even if it is somewhat repetetive, it can be done. They really shouldn't shy back away from these matches they are putting on, it is becoming the making of all 3 guys in The Shield, with more affirmative booking Cesaro would be well imprinted in people's minds. Unfortunately with guys like Sheamus & Orton whilst being really GREAT enhancement, really, for up and coming guys, they do not often lose, not that they ought to too often but it makes the whole process feel very unfulfilling at the end when there isn't an end game in sight for either man or their opponents that fail against them, it's like they are not moving forward to anything by winning all these matches. Before 3 hours, matches lasted 5 minutes, it was terrible, nobody benefits from those matches at all. Do not want. Wouldn't rent.

it has it's ups and downs, but overall i just can't put aside three hours for wrestling all the time. two was reasonable.

It's a keen idea, but as long as Raw is three hours, they're still going to spend the first 10 minutes of the second hour recapping the first, and the first 20 minutes of the third hour recapping the first two. Brand exclusivity won't change that part of it. Not to mention they'll still dedicate a half-hour of Smackdown to recapping Raw. That Raw recap on Smackdown has to ing go! I went to a SD taping in February, and I sat through like an hour of Raw recaps... There were maybe 4 or 5 matches the whole night. I not only felt ripped off, but swore it was my last SD how I would go to. That blows, I agree with A brand split and keep the roster exclusive except for ppv's. I would also like to see Smackdown get rebranded as WCW and bring in a cruiserweight division for smaller wrestlers who get no exposure like Tyson, Yoshi, Sin Cara, Justin Gabriel etc.

And the concept of a cruiserweight division in 2013 is stupid when so many smaller guys are pushed as heavyweight champions and contenders. Bryan, Punk, Jericho, Miz, Kofi, Ziggler, Rollins etc don't need a cruiserweight division, so neither should any other wrestlers their size. Wrestling has evolved past weight limits. A cruiserweight division just for guys who suck too much for the US/IC title scene makes no sense.

WWE wont go back to 2 hours, their ego wont let them, despite most of the fans complaining that 30-45 mins is re-caps, advertising etc etc. it'd be a step backwards, and no company ever wants to go back it makes them look weak.

Cruiserweight Division would be a great spot for some fast pace intense matches. This would help show off WWE talent that would normally not be on TV. This would give them a reason to be booked on the card. Lets not forget guys like Eddie, Chavo, Rey Mysterio, Malenko, and Jericho were all springboarded through the Cruiserweight Division. WWE needs some diversity in the wrestling styles. Why not showcase a new division? Cause the Tag Team and Diva divisions suck big time right now. We can expect a long feud with Kane/Bryan vs Shield or the tag straps, and the Fandango-Miz- Barret will last atleast until Summerslam. The US Title is meh... Ceasaro was doing it some justice, but now with Kofi, its become a kids prop again. So yes, another title, another division. Buisness wise its smart. Thats one more replica/kids belt that will sell with the backing of kid favorite Mysterio/Cara, and why pay guys salary when they aren't working? Bingo!

Wtf? Why are WWE fans complaining about an extra hour of TV on Monday nights? That's just ridiculous.

Add me to the group who don't mind three hours. Yes it could be used better, but even when it was two hours people bitched about names not getting used. No one is happy.

Cruiserweight Division would be a great spot for some fast pace intense matches. This would help show off WWE talent that would normally not be on TV. This would give them a reason to be booked on the card. No it wouldn't. What a stupid thing to say. Actually think about what you're saying. If WWE doesn't deem guys worthy of being on TV, a Cruiserweight belt isn't going to magically change that. A belt for the NXT/Superstars guys (whether you call it a cruiserweight belt, a European belt or whatever) is still only going to be defended on Superstars/NXT. In the nineties, when smaller wrestlers didn't get as many opportunities. And all of those guys that were any good helped evolve wrestling to guys that size being able to compete for heavyweight titles... And that's where we're at now. WWE has plenty of diversity in the wrestling styles, and a cruiserweight belt wouldn't add any diversity to the wrestling styles. Justin Gabriel vs Yoshi Tatsu is Justin Gabriel vs Yoshi Tatsu. They don't magically do seven more flips just because there's a cruiserweight belt. Because it wouldn't be a new division. It'd be an old division and a pointless division -- smaller wrestlers can compete for the existing titles. Daniel Bryan is just about the smallest active wrestler on the roster. He's been US champion, World champion and tag team champion, and could compete for any of those titles at any time. So why does someone his size need a cruiserweight title? What's the point of it? I know what you're doing to say: "Because dirtsheets in 2003 always used to talk about pushing the cruiserweight division and I'm just repeating that opinion ten years later because I don't know what I'm talking about." But it's nonsense. If you actually read any of your posts back you'd realise that that's the dumbest crap you have read this week. Cesaro is a non-entity who does nothing justice, and Kofi isn't even the US champion. What do you even mean by "kids prop"? You are just mixing up words you've seen used on wrestling websites, aren't you?

Thank you for breaking my post down. No I'm not pushing a 10 year old dirtsheet conversation. I'm also not saying the division is needed for "small guys"! Daniel Bryan is over, and is used on every show, so obviously he wouldn't need to be in this, and I never mentioned he should be. It's not exclusive for "small guys" and not a circus act for "flips", but a way to showcase the unused, yet extremely talented talent in a way that they haven't done in awhile.
And yes, I do know what I'm talking about. Go back through WWE's Cruiserweight division. Look over some of the fueds they had, the crowd was really into them. Chavo-Rey, Matt Hardy-Rey, Kid Kash heel champion was a sick run. WM XX's Cruiserweight Rumble was awesome. The adults and kids alike get into matches like these. Can the be spot fests? Sure, but thats what brings the pop. Hitting new moves, or moves the "WWE UNIVERSE" hasn't seen in awhile. Bourne's SSP, and Gabriels 450 Splash get huge pops.
I think you nees to go back, and read through you're posts. Cause truthfully, I think you just don't like the Cruiserweights regardless. Which would nake your opinion a biased one.

The problem with them going back to two hours is that we would STILL get 30 minutes of video packages, and WWE app and Twitter on top of it. The quality of matches has, for the most part, improved given more time. And that, I'm not complaining about. I'd rather put up with the annoying crap and get at least two good, 15-20 minute matches a week, than go back to two hours, still have to put up with that, and get maybe one 10-minute match the whole show.
