In WWE's rich history we have never seen a black man win the prestigious WWE Championship (F*** The Rock for a second, I'm talking full African American). I wouldn't say WWE or Vince are racist since we have had Latino's & Asians win the WWE & World Titles but it does suck that we haven't had a black WWE Champion. I'm not a black guy but I do respect a lot of them and have some good friends who are black so it'll be great to see a black WWE Champion one day.
Do you think we will see one? Do you think there has ever been a Wrestler/Superstar that is black who is/was good enough to be Champion?
Back then I would say Booker T could have easily won the WWE Title. Right now I'd say Mark Henry could easily get a run with the Title. I'd even say Kofi Kingston could if he steps up his in ring and mic work. The guys a talented individual but he needs some mic time. He'd make a good face or heel Champion if he just becomes more serious. Imagine him as a face just knocking people out with his Trouble of Paradise instead of being cool with everyone. Another guy would be Titus O'Neil. Before people bash the guy I really think if WWE pushed this guy and really wanted him to succeed he could easily become a top face Champion or could be a huge heel one day. The guy can work a good match but needs more one on one matches and maybe needs to fix up in the ring a bit, hes also good on the mic and has a ton of charisma.

They shouldn't win the title just to be the first black champion.

Honestly, Booker T should have won it at some point, either like back in '03 (stopped by him being on the wrong show) or when he was King Booker (again, on the wrong show). Lashley was probably the next best bet after him, but we know how that ended. I would like to see Mark Henry get the win, even as the "lifetime achievement" victory it would be now, he could have a decent little run for a few months before dropping it to a face Rumble winner at 'Mania or something.
Among the young guys, Big E and Titus if built correctly certainly could contend. There isn't anyone else down in NXT that intrigues me though.

Forgot about Truth. Hes another talented worker who's OK as a face but gold as a heel. He could still make a good WWE Champion or WHC if pushed correctly. Down in NXT I really think Xavier Woods (Consequences Creed in TNA) could be a big Champion one day, hes like 26/27 so there's a lot of time to build him up.

Shelton Benjamin should've been a WWE champion so should of Booker T.
What Asian WWE champion was there?

Ya know, JTG has been there for a while. It's only a matter of time now I'm sure.

Shelton Benjamin should've been a WWE champion so should of Booker T. What Asian WWE champion was there? Great Khali (WHC not WWE Champion). We've even had Latino WWE/World Champs (Eddie, Del Rio, Rey). Therefore WWE should at least have ONE black and British/English WWE Champion.

For sure as a kid I thought Ahmed Johnson had a shot. Totally agree Booker T should have been a WWE champ at least once. I also was hoping Mark Henry would have won last month just cause in my opinion he is the best heel on the roster. I am huge Titus O Neil fan. He works great matches. He's agile, strong and is pretty good with the mic from what I have seen. He needs a singles push. Instant credibility to the first lower card title he holds.

Well hold on, if Khali counts for holding the WHC then Booker T and Mark Henry count holding the WHC.

Oh well if were counting WHC's then Ron Simmons was the first ever black WHC and Booker T as King Booker was WHC and so was Mark Henry once I thought this was strictly WWE champions.

You can't just "not" count The Rock.

My point about Khali becoming WHC was me basically saying why WWE isn't racist. People think Vince is a racist but he let an Asain and two black guys win the WHT. He let Latinos win the WHT & WWE Title. The thing is he hasn't let any black Wrestlers/Superstars win the WWE Title to this day.

Besides R truth (2011) and Mark Henry (MITB) There's never been a storyline (to my memory) that would've made sense if the Black guy in the feud won the title.
