Did it ruin CM Punk when he lost the title immediately? No. He won it back. He held it for 400+ days. He's the best in the world. Did he elevate the title at all in the eyes of the fans? No. He remained the #2 guy behind Cena and his PPV matches went on before matches such as Cena/Big Johnny and Cena/Kane. In the end he was basically just one long transitional champ until Rocky returned to set up "Once in a Lifetime: Part 2"

I've argued that point enough though in the past on this very forum. Someone said 'Bruno held the title for 2,000 days and the next guy held it for 30. It happens.'

Bruno wasn't going on second to last on every big card. He was the main attraction. Hey I'm a fan of Punk but I'm not gonna pretend that he was the top guy in the WWE. That was and still is Cena. Going on before Cena/Big Johnny proves that. Punk didn't really do anything to elevate the title besides holding it until Rocky returned. Never getting a clean win over Cena and constantly being the #2 guy proves that.

Actually its WORSE. While both play corporate heels. Dixie has come out on the short end with both her major stories. First with Hogan and then with AJ. HHH has done nothing but bury their most OVER babyface, while making himself to be strong over and over. It became less about the WWE Title and less about Bryan/Orton as it did about HHH vs. Bryan. Orton was an afterthought. Compound that with the fact that the only person HHH has remotely put over was Big Show and that was after countless weeks of complete and total burial...having him cry week in and week out, making his babyface look foolish by not being able to handle his finances and finally going as far as to talk about him dying and his fear of dying b/c he happens to be a giant......just makes HHH an utter buffoon. Shane McMahon needs to come back Would LOVE to see Shane come back. Not sure how well he would do creatively. But he has a great mind for business. I am sure he would at least get the damn stock price out of the toilet.

I can't believe any one is surprised lets take a look at Bryans run in WWE first. He was put on a show with rookies. Then he was buried by Michal Cole. was fired for a bullcrap reason. lost his world tile in 18 seconds at WrestleMania. And was stuck in a tag team with Kane.
