Of ALL time? Are you sure about that? Yeah. Except for maybe that one with Miz vs. Cena. That one sucked too. They are tied for the worst. 27 was definitely bad

WM 2000 has always been a very flat event for me.Backlash 2000 was better in every respect of the word.

I loved that main event. The story behind it, all the McMahons involved, the ending.
Then again I'm a sucker for almost anything when Triple H and the McMahons are together.
And it was the first time a heel walked out as champion.

Worst Wrestlemania of all time and I don't care what anyone says. When Trish's tits can't save the show that's when you know that you're f*cked. I'm honestly still amazed you think WM 2000 is worse than WM XI. not criticizing your opinion or anything. just, damn, I think that's the first time I've ever heard someone say they thought there was a Mania WORSE than XI !!

Nah, WM11 wasn't anywhere near as bad as 2000. At least in 11 we got: Awesome Allied Powers themes Owen Hart finally wins a title Bret Hart (granted in one of his worse matches but still...)

WrestleMania 2000 is down there with XI & XXVII as the worst WrestleManias. I liked the triangle ladder match, the hardcore battle royal and trish's "team" but the event was mostly forgettable. I wish Rock and HHH had just been one-on-one.
Was Big Show put in the main event because both Austin and UT were out? I know they dragged Foley back for it. But I've always been curious as to what roles Austin & UT would have been in had they been healthy.

I love this board, but it really shows me I have a strange opinion of wrestling as I really like wm2000 and 27 was better to me than an apparent popular mania in 28 (which I hated). I actually really enjoy 2000, the small arena is bad a they where in those types since mania 8 and most matches, while not classics, entertain me everytime I watch. I think it lacks in not having a singles match to me the same as 21 only has singles matches beside MITB.

Allied Powers match is worth something if for nothing other than seeing Bulldog and Luger team up, plus their theme was so good. Jarrett/Ramon was actually alright, but they'd had a lot of matches during this time so it kinda gets lost in the shuffle. Taker/Bundy was one of Taker's 2 or 3 worst WM matches. Owen & Yoko vs. Gunns was an ok tag match, probably the best match on the card actually. Bret/Backlund was bad as far as Bret matches go, but even a bad Bret match is still pretty good. I always thought Diesel vs. Shawn was mediocre. The only good outing they had was at IYH. LT/Bam Bam was a waste of time. Definitely among the worst, but I'd put it above 2000 and WM27. It had its moments.

Backlash 99 and Backlash 2000 were both better than WM 15 and 16

I just think WM2000 really shows you where we were as a wrestling industry at that time. WWE were still competing with WCW, the Attitude Era was in full swing, and "Shock TV" was the norm. It really puts things in perspective.

It was very poor booking that hurt the event. The main event should have been HHH vs Rock. HHH could have still gone over due to McMahon interference which leads to Austin returning the following month to even the odds.
I've always said that it should have been HHH vs Rock w/ Mick Foley as the special ref. HHH and Rock for the most part have a straight up fight until the McMahons start interfering. Foley cleans house with them. HHH grabs the world belt but Foley takes it from him. HHH attacks Foley and Foley tries to retaliate by hitting HHH with the title. HHH ducks and Foley nails Rocky and is forced to count the three and HHH retains.

I like it, would have made more sense than the Fatal Four-Way we got.

That show had so much potential to be the WrestleMania X-Seven before there was a WrestleMania X-Seven. Oh well. I guess the star power was flawed when Austin and 'Taker were taken out of action.

basically the Main Event of backlash 2000 was meant to be the ME of WM2000.
Austin couldn't get medical clearance to participate in any angles until April/May which ruled him out.so Vinnie panicked and gave us a f*ckin OD of McWrestling instead and put the Big Show and Foley in there.
Foley wrestling in this ME was mistake-both for him and WWF.it reduces the drama & impact of HIAC at No Way Out so much.
thankfully Backlash 2000 had it ALL.
also in terms of WM awfulness there are two I DONT own from WM 1-20.and they are II & XI.WM 2000 is not worse than either of these 2 dog turds.

don't forget - Big Show's contract promised him the Main Event of WrestleMania 2000. of course when he signed it,it was supposed to be against Austin. but still, Vince was basically contractually bound to put Big Show in there. now, I have no doubt he tried to go back on that, cause he's done it before ( Sid in Mania 8 ), and I really don't know if it was Show holding him to it,or Vince just decided anyway to add Wight to it after Austin couldn't get cleared.

I have heard that originally big show was to face undertaker one on one with hhh vs rock as the main event. When Austin couldn't get cleared the idea of a 4-way was presented with hhh, rock, taker, and Jericho. Taker goes down and is replaced with big show, and then they decide to replace Jericho with Foley.
