Just saw this today, Long read...
This was the absolute worst wrestling experience I have had in my life. When I found out about the show, I was excited and purchased a pair of tickets for me and my best friend. We had never attended a Raw show before but have attended many house shows over the years. On the seating chart, our seats appeared to be halfway between the ring and the Titan-Tron and stage in the lower bowl. We booked a hotel to stay overnight because we traveled out of state about three and a half hours to the show.
When we arrived at the arena and found our seats, we were extremely disappointed, along with everyone in our section. The arena staff informed us that earlier in the day, WWE changed the stage configuration because the arena had not sold out, and they moved the stage area and the Titan-Tron forward to compensate how the show would look on TV, and completely blocked our section of the entire stage and walkway to the ring. WWE then had a few relocation tickets that fans in the section could exchange and move to an empty seat, but there were many who were turned away, myself included. Families of five and six were so angry they left. My friend and I left after trying to find seats there we could watch the show for two hours.
Part of attending a live show is the experience and to be able to participate. If you cannot see the show, why stay? I could have stayed at home and saved some money by watching it on TV. The only way we could really see what was happening was by craning our necks upward to the arena display.
After complaining to numerous staff officials trying to get better seats, we were informed by an arena supervisor that WWE made the call that morning to push the stage forward to make the arena appear to be a “sold out crowd” on television. WWE had also given 70 people special status to be “seat fillers” for the night. If a seat filler saw an empty seat on the side being filmed, they were to immediately fill it to keep up the appearance of the “sold out jam packed arena.”
They also had forbidden the arena to sell any tickets for several sections and boxes, because it would have spread the crowd out more than WWE wanted. There were three entirely empty sections on the hard camera side of the arena that could have been filled by everyone from our section that was affected by this change. Instead, WWE chose to ignore their fans to protect their take at the gate and present the illusion of a full show. I am completely disgusted.
And the best part, the arena supervisor informed me that the WWE rents the building. They also collect 100 percent or all merchandise sales, ticket sales, and they receive 50 percent of all concession sales, even though they do not provide the concessions. He explained that they can actually lose money if enough food was sold. On top of that, even though we could not see the show from our vantage point and could not be relocated, we were denied a refund. Thank you WWE for the worst wrestling experience for this lifelong fan.
This makes me not wanna go to a live show..

I've been to many live events and never had this problem.
I'd gladly go to another because the experience was amazing.

Been to Hall of fame 2013, WM29, Raw after Mania. Row 1 at HOF, Row 5 at Mania and Row 6 on RAW. Was actually Row 7 on RAW but the mother and kid infront asked if we could switch because her son was short and couldn't see so good from that seat so we gladly moved a row ahead. No bad experiances.

IMO if you buy a seat near the stage then you should expect a somewhat possible obstructed view, nonetheless though its still not fair.
That's why I never buy seats near the stage.

I've been to RAW at the height of the attitude era, Smackdown during the Brock Lesnar era, Wrestlemania X8, Summerslam '04 and a few RAW's after that and I must say I like watching it from the comfort of my home much better.

I went to Smackdown during the height of Brock Lesnars championship reign as well. I have to agree, I would rather watch it from home as well. It's exciting, and the experience is amazing but I don't think I would go out my way to do it again. I would however like to attend a WrestleMania and no matter the experience I would get, I would just be happy staring up at the ceiling knowing I was there.

My Dad and uncle went to Raw at Nassau collesium and they put the cameras in their seats so they said sorry and they were moved to the top. Someone from WWE, a production guy took our number and said next time we are in town we will give you tickets. It's like 6 months later and they were at MSG so they gave them first row tickets on the hard camera side. They have a tape and they were drunk as hell pissing off the wrestlers. When Al Snow yelled What does everybody Want?? They yelled for you to die and you can hear it on the tape.
I went to Raw 2x and WM 29 and had amazing experiences

When I went to night of champions some fat kid next to me was forcing his legs out so that he would have more room. Thus literally hurting me in the process. I tried to stand for the main event but I got yelled at by a security guard and he tried to pick a fight with me. Even insulting wrestling fans in the process. He said people behind me with families were complaining. Well HELLO. HOW ABOUT YOU STAND TOO ITS THE GOD DAMN MAIN EVENT. Low and behold just minutes later everyone else is standing. I have been to dozens of house shows Raws SDs ppvs and have never had a worse experience. It's seriously making me reconsider going to survivor series. This whole PG thing has really taken a much worse effect on the entire company than I originally thought. Even live events are tarnished now. You can't chant a$$ hole at HHH because some mother will yell at you for cursing around their children. It's looked down upon to drink ing BEER.

He should consider himself lucky that he didn't have to stay for that abomination of a show anyway.

Sorry to hear you did not enjoy yourself. But this is a typical move made in wrestling. Certain sections can be relocated, etc. to make the show look sold out. Seat filler is a WWE thing. They actually pay people to come and be a seat filler. The pushing of the titan tron is new to me. But I get it.

If what the guys is saying is correct, the section wasn't going to be near the stage. It only became a partially obstructed seat when they moved the stage forward to accommodate the lack of sales. If that is, in fact, the case, and WWE was unwilling to even attempt to remedy the situation, it's flat out inexcusable. The best thing for this person to do would be to file a complaint with WWE, the arena, and Ticketmaster. Ticketmaster can often be a terrible company, but sometimes they'll go to bat for the customer in a case like this. That is, of course, if the tickets were purchased from them.

Damn that sounds miserable, I haven't had anything that bad, the least fun experience I had was the second half of the DX Invasion tour in 2009. After intermission I had to move a bit further back as I had actually been in the wrong seat all night(lol), and when I got there, I had the most foul mouthed, annoying kid right behind me screaming and yelling abuse at wrestlers for the final 3 matches, Miraculously I bit my tongue through all the ear piercing. Sorry to hear you did not enjoy yourself. But this is a typical move made in wrestling. Certain sections can be relocated, etc. to make the show look sold out. Seat filler is a WWE thing. That sucks for the person it happened to. I got lucky on 2 occasions. 1st was at Survivor Series 2011 in MSG. I had bought really cheap crappy seats, cause I couldn't afford better ones. My brother and I got there and were told we had to go to the box office because they used our section for a camera. We ended up getting seats right next to the hard camera in the lower deck. It made the experience that much better.
The 2nd time was actually earlier. I went to a Smackdown in 2009. When we got there, there was this huge spotlight taking up half of one of our seats and our view was completely obstructed and our tickets did not say limited view, which we expressed. We got to the arena early enough that we had enough time before the show to talk to some people. We tried talking to a couple of people and they said, they couldn't do anything about it. But we didn't want to leave and the seats were awful. Finally we went to a 4th person at the box office and told our story and asked if we could upgrade our tickets and pay the difference. The guy said he was sorry, but the show was sold out. He then got on his radio and told us to wait for a moment. A couple of minutes later he comes back with 2nd row seats first section lower tier and gives them to us and apologizes for the inconvenience. He ended up getting us 2 comps that WWE would give out to family and friends of the wrestlers. We ended up sitting with Shad from Cryme Tyme's family and had an awesome time at the show. If anything don't just talk to one person, because they might not be in the know, you have to find the right person and they will help. Luckily I did that day.

I read this online earlier at prowestling.net. I don't quite understand it, though. Was his view obstructed and they wouldn't give him another seat?
"and completely blocked our section of the entire stage and walkway to the ring. WWE then had a few relocation tickets that fans in the section could exchange and move to an empty seat, but there were many who were turned away, myself included. Families of five and six were so angry they left. My friend and I left after trying to find seats there we could watch the show for two hours."
So they couldn't see the stage and walkway? WWE wouldn't move them elsewhere so they could see? They couldn't find seats? Something about this is either worded wrong or just doesn't make sense.
