I still can't believe that people think HBK and Vince were f*cking. There's a lot of sh*t that HBK did, but it just screams of being made up by bitter wrestlers who HBK leapfrogged or hurt somehow. I personally don't think it was a sexual relationship. I DO think it had to do with a lot of ass-kissing on HBK's part

I just find it ridiculous that some people think he literally kissed his ass.

there does seem to be a procession of HBK being able to get away with stuff/get his own way, starting all the way back to 1993:
1993 - Tatanka as supposed to win IC Belt at Mania 9,until HBK keeps telling Vince and upper management that Chris has a "bad attitude". Tatanka wins via DQ instead.
tests positive for drugs. refuses to give back IC Belt even though he's officially stripped of it.
1994 - Shawn and the Cliq maneuver the IC Belt between them all year long.
1995 - outshines and outperforms the World Champ at WM 11 in a losing effort, making Diesel look weaker by comparison.
Cliq starts to maneuver themselves into all the top spots backstage, while also directly influencing Vince on the career path's of the other wrestlers.
1996 - disrespects Bret Hart right after the Hitman drops the title to HBK.
The Curtain Call incident.
TWICE pitches a hissy-fit and gets Vader's WWF Title reign cancelled.
1997 - has his "career ending injury",in order to avoid having to drop the WWF Title to Bret Hart.
with Hunter,as part of the booking committee, tries to bury the career of Dwayne Johnson
openly professes he won't job to anyone
the Backstage Brawl with Bret
The Montreal Screwjob
1998 - threatens to no-show WrestleMania 14
- threatens to not do the job for Steve Austin at the same Mania

He gave up the IC Belt cause of testing positive for drugs He and Diesel gave up the Tag Titles without ever being pinned He gave up the IC Title to Dean Douglas cause he didn't wanna job to Douglas (there is also talk that there was no huge brawl, I am sure he got punched out but not by 10 guys like they said) He gave up the WWF Title cause he didn't want to lose to Bret He gave up his half of the Tag Titles that he had with Austin He really was the biggest diva in the 90s for the WWE.

I like the undercard quite a lot. 6 man tag was fun, Warrior/Triple H was AWESOME to see as I was someone who was a Warrior mark when I was a kid. Piper/Goldust was pretty cool and UT vs. Diesel is one of my fav WM matches of all time.

that's cool man but I think the card blows and is one of the worst WMs of all time.typical of the New Generation WMs to be honest.all had promise but ultimately fell flat.

I think the 60 minute iron man match made the show seem bad. I am a fan of both Bret and HBK, but that match is the most boring match I have ever sat through for an hour. If both men would have even had 1 fall a piece to go into over time, it would have made it better. But the fact that it was just rest hold, after rest hold, then a big move, then rest hold, after rest hold made that hour go so long. Vader vs. Yoko should have been a one on one encounter at WM 12. Bulldog and Owen should have been in the finals for the tag titles. Razor Ramon vs. Goldust would have been nice. It's like they had a good Royal Rumble, a good In Your House in February, and then Wrestlemania XII just didn't live up to the hype that was built towards it.

the two IYH events on either side of this were vastly more entertaining to me than WM12.the egos of both men torpedoed any shot they had of having a good IM match

I believe that they'd planned for Razor vs. 1-2-3 Kid but Razor was injured. If Bret/Shawn had a normal 25-30 minute match it would have allowed for a few more matches on the undercard. I had the VHS as a kid and would watch it all the time, I'd always fast forward to the last 5 minutes of the Bret/Shawn match when I got to it.
That being said I still think it's a good mania (apart from the Iron Man match).
Yoko vs. Vader should have definitely been a singles match with the way it'd been built, although I'm not sure if Yoko was in any condition at the time to be in the ring for very long.
I think that Billy was injured too right? That's why there were no Smokin' Gunns.

I had always heard that Hall was scheduled to regain the IC strap from Goldust at WM12.then he was suspended and the whole leaving for Atlanta thing hoved into view then.

I did hear Razor vs. Goldust in a Hollywood back lot brawl. But he failed a drug test so they took him off for 30 days. 123 Kid had a broken neck again too I thought during this time. I don't think he wrestled at all during this time until he jumped to WCW as Syxx.

I do believe you guys are correct about it originally slated to be Goldust vs. Razor Ramon in the Hollywood Backlot Brawl.
Piper replaced Razor when we was suspended.

Hmm, I always thought it was going to be Razor/Kid. Must be getting my wires crossed here.
I wonder what role Luger would have had if he had been around at this point.

Lex Luger vs. British Bulldog would have already happened.
Maybe Lex and Ahmed would be a tag team...?? Ahmed Johnson and Lex Luger vs. Owen Hart and British Bulldog could have easily been a WM XII match.
There's a lot of 'what if' things here.
Like what if Sid stayed till Wrestlemania. Or King Mabel. And if the Kid was healthy, or Razor didn't get busted.

Yeah I think Lex/Ahmed vs. Bulldog/Owen may have been plausible.
