For sure! They could throw him in a 2 pack with Randy Orton since he does the Garvin Stomp occasionally. I think we all know there is absolutely zero chance of Garvin being made.

Always wondered why jakks didn't do one, but I would sure as hell buy one if mattel did. He's a really big missing piece in my "history of the World Heavyweight Championship" display shelf. Between mattel and jakks, most of the 80s -current era is represented well. Garvin,Tommy Rich, Muta, and Chono are really about it.on the "to be made" list. And I realize none of those 4 are likely from any company, but I'd take any if ever made.

Crazy to think one of the biggest names today (Orton) does a move named after Ronnie Garvin in every match, plus Garvin was a former World Heavyweight Champion and yet...nobody knows of him. Jesus people do some research...not to necessarily educate yourself but just to entertain yourself. There's so much more to wrestling then spot monkeys and light tubes.

Sure, why not. But he's scraping the bottom of the barrel. Still, I'd take him over another Cena, Orton, Sheamus, Mysterio, Del Rio or any other current chode we have 100 of.

Damn, you cats are on some old-school sh*t. Well said. I think Mattel has made it pretty clear that the only legends/flashbacks that make sense are the big names. Big names according to whom? Ron Garvin was a big name and had big runs in every top promotion during his career.

Nope. Garvin's a "Legends series 87" type name. Way, way down the list.

While I did like him and would buy him he would be way down on my list of wants.

I still have a Ronnie Garvin towel I got at a NWA tv taping. The only figures I have bought have been old NWA guys.

I would want a Basic 2 pack with Greg Valentine in their yin and yang red and yellow outfits and the two shin guards from the submission match as accessories. They wouldn't even need knee pads. I think it would be more of a risk than a good idea though, but if they shortpacked them like divas then they wouldn't be a problem at retail imo.

I would love a Ronnie Garvin figure. I would also love the Freebirds to go along with the Von Erichs.

Who in the blue hell is that? It is actually possible to Google something besides "Dean Ambrose GIFs."

I'd most definitely buy it, but it's too obscure for Mattel, unfortunately.
Ronnie Garvin would have been a perfect candidate for the deeper roster and riskier retail choices of the Jakks CS line. He's one of those guys like Dino Bravo where I'm afraid that if he hasn't had a figure by now, it might never happen.

It's a shame that people don't want to know about past stars who paved the way for today's wrestlers. Because they are missing alot of great matches and moments. Who in the blue hell is that? It is actually possible to Google something besides "Dean Ambrose GIFs." lol.

I think Big Show should be paying Hands of Stone some royalties using the knockout punch and open hand chops.
