"I want a refund because I assumed wrongly"!!
I'd be too embarrassed to even say that to a real person.

Curtain Jerk must have a completely different meaning now than it did when I was a kid. I thought it was a very competitive match that they booked very well. It felt like it could have gone either way. And for all we know, maybe Batista was promised the WM main event when they were in contract negotiations back in September? And maybe that is why they rushed the title unification so quickly? I dunno, just a thought. Curtain jerk means opening the show in the first match. Booking 101 says you NEVER put your hottest act or the show stealing match our first. This will wreck the rest of your show. Oh hey their train wreck of a show! Perhaps Batista was promised this. But thats insane. Batista isnt The Rock. He isnt generating more ticket sales, PPV buys, merchandise sales or ratings. I think its smart to bring him back. I think its smart to put him in a premiere match at WM. I dont personally like him....but its smart booking. Whats not smart is sacrificing, not only a hot act, but a guy who has been proving his value, marketability and staying power for nearly a year now.....all in the face of WWE's misuse of him. Tell that to the .34 higher rating that his return show drew than the week before.

Besides Brock/Show & Cena/Orton I wouldn't say the show was a train wreck. The Rumble was as good as one could expect it to have been. Personally I'm glad Brock & Show was short. And Cena vs Orton would have been better had we not seen it so often. And I know Batista may not appear to be as big as the Rock. But if Guardians of the Galaxy is a success I'm sure WWE would love the fact that a current talent is a main star in the movie. So I could see them doing anything/everything it takes to bring him back before the movie was released. Again... just a thought.

personally i'd like to see 3 hours of nonstop Daniel Bryan, Yes and No chants from the crowd just drowning out anyone who tries to talk on the mic.

Last time I checked it was the Royal Rumble event, not the Royal Bryan event. If you expected Bryan vs Wyatt to go on last you're even more of a fool than the people who thought he'd win the rumble. The numbers don't lie, and even though Bryan is up there he is NOT the top draw in the company. He was placed exactly where he should be out of the 3 matches that were on the card. Brock and Cena are both FAR better draws than he is.

Exactly. I did send them a message expressing my displeasure and requested a refund of the ppv though. On what grounds? Will they refund purely on the basis of "I didn't enjoy the show"? I expressed my displeasure with the direction of the company. They offered refunds for fans who were upset over the SummerSlam ending.

Might as well pull the same trick for Elimination Chamber before the sweet $9.99 deal kicks in for WrestleMania.

Brock and Cena are both FAR better draws than he is. They are but I would eliminate Cena because he will always sell because of the kids. The adults and pro Wrestling fans not so much. Brock will sell because he is what he is, a Killing Machine, even in real life. People love him because there is no one tougher and you could legit see kill someone in the ring. It has something to be said for guys like Punk and Bryan because they do it without having to be what those guys are, they do it because of who they are and how they work in the ring which is what really should count but unfortunately never has in the WWE. We all know guys like Punk and Bryan should be the face of this company on every level simple for their work rate and how they make everyone they work with better. In the old school way of think this would be the case but we deal with what we always have even going back to the 80's in the WWF. it simply is what it is and has always been in the WWE/F

You can most certainly get a refund for not enjoying the show. You PAID for it, when you pay for something, you expect that you're gonna be given something enjoyable, and if you're not, you shouldn't have to pay for it. You can't just use the "I didn't expect that" as an excuse to defend their garbage. If Vince came out and said, "Instead of having the Royal Rumble PPV, you guys are gonna watch me and Hunter play chess all night instead." Yeah, you didn't expect it, but that doesn't mean you don't deserve a refund.

crap, I wasn't thrilled about the Royal Rumble either but this calling up asking for refunds thing is ridiculous. Besides, there's other ways to watch the PPVs without wasting money.

RR will be the last ppv I buy at home (without the network of course)

Batista is in no way, shape or form as big as The Rock. If Guardians of The Galaxy is a big hit and it helps launch Batista into bigger and better roles...good for him. It still doesnt make him bigger than The Rock. The Rock was ranked the #3 "Box Office Bank" actor in Hollywood. For every dollar you spent on paying The Rock.....he returned $7. He outdid Hollywood A listers. He was also the #1 grossing actor last year with his movies. Batista would have to be doing something in that range to be as big as The Rock. I dont think he could pull it off...but I could be wrong. In addition, Guardians is a Marvel franchise. It will probably do excellent at the box office, but that may nor may not laynch Batista for anything. Curtain jerk means opening the show in the first match. Just another case of WWE doing whats best for....Vince, HHH, etc. Its not whats best for business. Its not whats best for the fans. Its not whats best for stock holders.

I really enjoyed the Rumble and am really excited for RAW tonight. To hell with all this Daniel Bryan bullsh*t, the WWE has been at it's best in years and I like Bryan but all this boycotting nonsense is so over the top and annoying. I love Bryan and all, but I still think the show itself was pretty good. WWE didn't advertise Bryan for the Rumble match, so I don't understand why so many thought he'd win. I mean sure it would have been a great surprise if he did, but I still enjoyed the PPV overall. Don't watch Raw because the internet darling didn't win a match that he wasn't in? please. I am going to watch Raw along with all the pissed off fans who say they're never watching WWE again. Johnny Ace is getting old. Yall would be perfect for vince's new Yes Men.

I think the thing that bums me out the most about the Rumble is that there wasn't a switch-a-roo with the Rumble finish. I was expecting something like a couple years back when everyone was calling Jericho to win the Rumble and at the last minute they went with Sheamus. I honestly thought Reigns was going to win when it was down to him and Batista. Very disappointed in that finish. Now Reigns has no friends and no title shot.
