Where exactly did I say they should pretend to be happy? Please show me. Cause I'm pretty sure I just asked for them to have some respect for two guys that are risking their health to entertain them. You're basically saying we should have enough respect to eat crap. Nope. I'm saying don't assume it's going to be crap till you see it. Go in with an open mind and who knows, you may be surprised... gasp!

Honestly, I sort of wanted Batista back, but I was never expecting that come back to become what is has.
1. I didn't want him to win the Royal Rumble. 2. I didn't want him to headline WrestleMania. 3. I didn't think he would cut TERRIBLE promos like he has done in the previous 2 RAWs.

I'm indifferent when it comes to Batista. I don't mind that he's back or that he won the Rumble. That said, I don't have much interest in what he's doing. But I'm of the mindset that nothing upsets me when it comes to wrestling. I just watch the stuff I want to see, and skip the stuff I don't. I don't get bent out of shape one way or another.

I dont follow your train of thought... no one forced them to be a pro wrestler... Wouldn't the fact that no one forced them to be wrestlers be more of a reason to respect them? They are choosing to put their bodies on the line for the benefit of our entertainment. I guess in one sense that's true. I can't adaquately put in to words why I disagreeing with being forced to respect someone because they made the choice to take calculated risks

No, I've been watching that since Summerslam in 2004... Everyone says keep an open mind, and it's never good. That's why we demand Daniel Bryan... I can't name one role he can't do good.

Why are you disturbed by it? Nobody was thirsting or begging for Batista to come back and save the show. We were all fine with guys like Punk and Bryan doing their thing. Suddenly, Batista comes back, wins one match, is slated to main event Wrestlemania, and we are expected to give a sh*t? Why? What huge hurdle did he have to climb to earn that spot? What great feuds, matches or promos has he had recently to make is want to see him main event Wrestlemania? What great crowd reactions has he received? We were happy with what we had in Bryan and Punk. There was no need for Batista to come in and take over. I'm fine with him returning but not in the role he's currently in now. Especially after investing the past several months in Punk and Bryan only for it to be completely forgotten about in one Rumble match. pretty much spot on.

That's how I feel about the current state of WWE booking.i have seen Batista win the rumble I have seen Cena vs Orton I have seen Batista main event a few wrestlemanias and I have seen a Couple Batista title runs. I was excited, but seeing him come out in jeans 5 sizes too small for him and a sweater made for 12 year old girls, all that excitement just died and well, he hasn't really delivered in the ring either.

Don't be disturbed June-nobody wants to kill him-they just don't care.
I was excited to hear Batista was coming back. I liked him and his return offered something desperately needed-FRESH angles and scenarios. but it isn't something Vince is too into at the moment.....I wouldn't be surprised to see Cena win the EC.
The crowd was lukewarm on Dave from the get go. his piss weak performance in the RR didn't help for sure just SO unconvincing and underwhelming.....surely he should have gotten in shape before he returned?
and now it's Batista vs Orton @ WM unless someone else wins the EC. I didn't enjoy Batista vs Orton the first time around.....I don't think Im gonna enjoy "shrunken Dave" vs Randy Boreton this time around either.
if it wasn't for the title I wouldn't mind as much because I reckon its preventing them from giving the feud teeth.

This. There is a big difference between being in shape and being in ring shape.

I don't, nor will I ever, understand why anyone was/is a fan of this guy. Not a good wrestler, not a good talker, and the one time people thought he was "good", he was just a whiny b*tch wearing village people outfits having the same matches we've seen countless times before. He isn't flashy like Warrior, isn't polarizing like Goldberg, and sure as hell doesn't have the personality of a guy like Scott Steiner. There have been plenty of muscle men in pro wrestling that have entertained the hell out of me, Batista is nowhere near them. The WWE told you he was the guy because he's the guy Flair, HHH, and Orton had to drag around in Evolution, but if he wasn't forcefully booked like a star despite his ability, he never would have been one. Batista sucks, always has sucked, and always will suck... in my opinion. The fact that the guy botched his own finisher more times than he actually hit it should have been enough. EVEN if you were a fan of this guy, I'm not sure how you can be defending him right now. He's been a boat load of extra suck since he returned. He's smaller, was TERRIBLE on the mic, and had a poor showing in the Rumble. Batista sucking has nothing to do with Daniel Bryan and everything to do with Batista sucking. But please, continue to tell me all about how amazing the return of Batista is and how we should give a sh*t. [/rant]

We were happy with what we had in Bryan and Punk. Yeah, that's true. Everybody who cried about Batista's return and the Royal Rumble was completely happy with WWE before that and had never cried about wrestling before. Well, apart from every single week.
