The problem was 2 fold... 1) Slaughter had always been a midcarder. Before his heel turn he was never once pushed as a top name. And he went right back to the midcard following his feud with Hogan. The fans didn't buy him going up against Hogan. 2) His heel turn simply gained him cheap heat because Vince wanted to take advantage of a real life situation. And when it came time to sell tickets Slaughter failed because fans didn't buy into that crap. Off topic but it would have been so much better had Savage taken the title from Warrior and defended against Warrior or a rematch with Hogan at WM. Hennig or Earthquake would have been far better in Slaughter's spot IMO. We never really got a big payoff to either feud, Hogan and Slaughter's feud had a perfect end at Summerslam 1991. Loved earthquake and hennig. I would be fine with either in slaughters role.

Miz made the WWE champ belt look good for a while and anyone who says different is crazy.

Since I believe that Summerslam 90 was one of the worst bookings of all time, being that Rude should've been the transitional Heel champion, Rude should've won the strap at SS90 and dropped it to Hogan at WM7. So I'm going with Slaughter as worst.

The answer is Alberto Del Rio. Anybody who says otherwise is wrong.

AM I THE ONLY ONE WHO LIKES THE MIZ? I like the Miz! I just didn't like his reign on top! massive booking failure, and he was never shown as a strong Champion at any point.

If Im being honest, and I know I might get a lot of hate for this, Punk is one of the worst WWE Champions ever.
His reign on top was incredibly boring. Him coming out and cutting 20 minutes promos every Monday was so boring.
He only headlined like what 2 ppvs as champion? The WWE didnt see him as a big enough draw to headline unless it was with Cena. Him being a face got stale fast. Putting him with Heyman when he turned heel was a mistake IMO.
I only enjoyed one fued he had when he was champion and that was his feud with Jericho.
They tried making him the modern day Austin by making him fight the authority and being the "Voice of the Voiceless" and all that crap and it just didnt work IMO.

Chris Jericho in 2002 was the definition of paper champion, even me as a 11 year old kid couldn't take him seriously as a World champion.
The Miz is another one, I can't even remember his WM main event and it was only a couple of years ago.

Rude as champ would have been great.Pity he left in 1990 Had he been booked and used correctly he wouldn't have left so soon. I can't imagine 1991 without him as US champion or the Dangerous Alliance, but he should've got that 5 month run as WWF Champion before going to wCw.

Slaughter was one of Vince's many failures to jump into main stream media. He was trying to get that "shock" factor he loves but it blew right back in his face. IMO Rude was on fire throughout his year and a half long feud with Warrior. I'd have loved to have seen some type of alliance with Perfect where Rude was the WWF Champ and Perfect was the IC Champ. Hogan or Warrior could defeat Rude for the title at WM while Bret still takes the IC Title from Perfect later in the year.

I would have to say CM Punk. I was never really a fan of his, and I'm glad he's gone.

Without question, The Miz. God-awful WWE champ. And notice how he hasn't held the belt since he lost it?? Good reason for it. He SUCKED.
