If Im being honest, and I know I might get a lot of hate for this, Punk is one of the worst WWE Champions ever. His reign on top was incredibly boring. Him coming out and cutting 20 minutes promos every Monday was so boring. He only headlined like what 2 ppvs as champion? The WWE didnt see him as a big enough draw to headline unless it was with Cena. Him being a face got stale fast. Putting him with Heyman when he turned heel was a mistake IMO. I only enjoyed one fued he had when he was champion and that was his feud with Jericho. They tried making him the modern day Austin by making him fight the authority and being the "Voice of the Voiceless" and all that crap and it just didnt work IMO. For your information, he headlined MITB 11, Summerslam 11, TLC 11, EC 12, Summerslam 12, NOC 12, SS 12, RR 13, EC 13 and more

again on the Miz.....he was booked incredibly poorly. He held the title soley to drop it to Cena.....who didn't take him seriously ONCE in any promo. Yes yes YES. Lest we forget The Miz was getting the company's biggest heat as a midcard heel from late 2009 until he won the belt. He was getting some of the biggest reactions on the card, heel or face. His mic work was fantastic compared to the promos and interviews the main event crowd gave in that time. Not to mention his in-ring work improved tremendously and the little things like his mannerisms and his overall attire and look got better. He had all the reason for the push and the fact that people then (and even now) bitched and moaned for newer guys to break into the main event, further justified his reign. It was just that he got sh*t on by booking and had to make Jerry Lawler look like a threat to his belt. That's the crappy part: if he was perceived as a legitimate champion and not John Cena's championship travel bag his reign wouldn't be looked upon so badly. Hell, even if he was booked as an upper-midcard/possible threat to the World Title from when he dropped it to the present day, he wouldn't look so bad as champion now. Nowadays, with him in this face/heel limbo state with absolutely no direction, we look at him and say "That guy was the company's top champion a few years ago?" I hate to sound like the IWC smark but it all boils down to Cena. People get the belt and get thrown into crappy situations because booking is more concerned with what they're gonna do when Cena gets the belt than when the guy is actually champion. Sheamus in 2009 was a prime example as well: won it with zero momentum, had a DQ finish at the Rumble, and dropped it in the EC like his reign didn't even matter, just so they could fuel a John Cena/Batista rivalry over the belt. Del Rio in 2011 (although he should've definitely stayed the hell away from that scenario and left it to Punk/Cena finishing business): pushed when no one cared about him, brought the belt out of the rivalry (and in turn pushed Punk outta the title picture legimiately for two months, three if you don't count the one-off at HiAC), and just loses it to Cena 3 weeks later for no reason. Wins it again 3 weeks later after a "pad Cena's stats" reign and floats around cutting mediocre promos and getting figureatively and literally beaten by both Cena and Punk before dropping the title.

Khali. Not because he can't wrestle. A 7'3 400 pound man doesn't need to know how to wrestle to beat you. Having khali win was viable. And whoever goes over a evil giant is gonna be a hit especially if the guy is genuinely disliked ala khali
I just think it damaged prestige because khali back when he was champion was decent because he actually was an imposing monster controlled by a manager but now... He's a dancing queen or whatever and they still notice him as a former champion...
I understand khali is majorly over in India id have him go away after loosing the belt do some promo work in India and come back feuding for the tag us or ic titles when WWE are if India to boost sales

Khali was never a wwe champion. Only a world heavyweight champion.
The worst IMO were
Alberto Del Rio John Cena (Repetitive )
I can't list Miz because he really seemed like the next big thing at the time. Same with sheamus.

The crap storylines have nothing to do with why I picked Miz. I simply don't buy him as a serious competitor and main eventer. I feel any average joe could walk up to him and kick his a**. The fact he was even competing with guys like Cena and Orton make me roll my eyes.

Technically he wasn't the WWE Champion, but does he count?
